We enjoyed our sunset cruise on the schooner Manitou (or “spirit” in Anishinaabemowin, the language of the Anishinaabe indigenous peoples). The Capt and crew were all delightful. Those of us who volunteered even had the honor of hoisting the sails. You’re allowed to bring your own food on board, and they have beverage service (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic). It was the ideal experience to cap off our vacation in the Traverse City area.
The ice cream ? sail was wonderful. The captain and crew were fun, informative and made our sail interesting. They worked together so well and it was fun to watch them. It was so relaxing and the Moomers ice cream was delicious. I would definitely do it again.

The crew on board are awesome and super helpful. We had my grandmother who was in a wheel chair and there were super helpful boarding and deboarding. It was a little nerve wracking but if someone in your party is in a wheel chair you can definitely book and you definitely should! We went out on a pretty windy day too and we didn’t have issues with her being thrown around or anything either. Super great experience
