McDonald's in Utica

“Well, my 5 star review of this location changed with one visit. Right off the bat, the woman taking my order had major attitude, was asked to pull up even though no one was behind me. My $40 order was given to me and the gentleman that brought it was gone as I was checking my food. I was missing an item. So during rush hour I had to make a left out to van dyke and get back around to the window. When I told the annoyed woman she huffed and told me to pull around. Literally no one ahead of me, I get to the window and she's trying to charge me, even though I just said I paid already and showed my receipt. I get to the second windows and again I'm told I need to pay while again holding up my receipt that no one seemed interested in. She left and I assume went to speak to the annoyed one who told me to pull ahead and came back saying I still needed to pay. To not be a Karen and get the heck home to eat after an 8 hour field trip with my kid, I paid again, so I overpaid for something I never received. I hope this location does better.“

“What can I say. The food is McDonalds and sometimes that is the only thing to hit the spot. This review is for the employees. I went into eat. I order in person at the register it was clear most people use tech. A very pleasant young man took my order. It was clear he took his job seriously. As he handed me my drink and said he would bring my food he also asked if I want condiments when he brought the food. He was engaging, wished me a good day, was smiling and appeared happy to be there. I was sitting where I could see and hear another person come in to order. This time a young woman took the order and again she was pleasant, smiling and just hustling around. Great experience and great OJT.“
