“Would highly recommend. Exceptional food and service in a warm, welcoming environment. Hit up happy hour first (4pm - 6pm) for appetizer specials and half off drinks. Then stay for dinner. Their French Onion Soup is amazing! The side salads were plenty big! Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned to perfection!! The Gulf Shrimp Scampi with Parmesan Risotto & Sauteed Spinach was heavenly. Portion sizes are plentiful but save room for dessert. My recommendation - Lemon Pistachio Tiramisu (our party of 4 shared it). Three out of four of us needed to go boxes. Will definitely be repeat customers.“

“This is our best donut find, so far, for Northern Michigan. Unlike Tim's around the corner, they use a good amount of filling on their lunch sticks and eclairs. They have a pretty decent variety of doughnuts in addition to other guilty pleasures like breads and cookies. Buy everything fresh made today or off the day-old rack. You can also fill out an order form and return another time. The prices are in line and the people are friendly. The shoppe isn't very big but I've never seen a large crowd. It's a must stop when we're down here. 01/24“
“Played Treetops, The Tribute and The Pines. Greens here were the best. Kudos to the greens staff as this course was maintained very well. A fun course to play that is very fair if you stay out of the trees. Great sandwich at the turn and reasonable beverage prices. A great time at a great course??“

“When it comes to hospitality the Frederic Inn is par none. The manager personally saw to all my needs while I was there not once but twice in a week; I enjoyed a chicken ranch wrap as well as a wet burrito that was so good I got one to go for later, too. Would recommend to anyone traveling upstate, downstate or any way across!Wheelchair accessibility: Totally flat entrance from parking lot to table.“

“This is one of those hidden gems you hear about. We stopped on our way out to Hartwick Pines State Park after looking for a local "Mom & Pop" place or local favorite. They have great prices & have many specialty burgers & hoagie plus pizza & more. The reviews were all glowing too, so we decided to try it out. They did not disappoint. We're here at the very last weekend of the season, so the atmosphere was very laid back; maybe a dozen or so patrons. The Halloween decor was tastefully done, only adding to the beauty of the fall colors & the ambience of the place. I got the Philly Cheese Steak & asked for pickles instead of chips. Our waitress was a pickle dan as well so she gave me 8 spears at no extra charge. The hoagie was fantastic btw! My fiance got the 1/2 lb Swamp Burger with seasoned fries & a Coke. Our bill was only $25 & I only ate half my hoagie, so now I have donner too. Im only sorry we didn't catch our waitress' name, she was friendly & bubbly; she even credited me for the jukebox because I had spent $5 in credits only to realize the jukebox wasn't playing, it was another system being used. That was very cool of her to do since I only mentioned it to forewarn others. Needless to say, we would drive out of our way for good portions of great food, great prices & friendly atmosphere.“

“Although busy they tried hard and when my order came out wrong they immediately fixed it and the Manager was quick to check in and offer apologies. Food and drinks were great and we thoroughly enjoyed the cheers like atmosphere in the bar area.“
