“Highly recommend! First time in and won’t be my last. Best beef kafta I’ve ever had and I grew up in Dearborn. Better than La Marsa, Shish, anywhere. Kafta is tender and not overcooked. “Many moons ago, my wife worked at a Quiznos. On top of that, we both ate at Quiznos a couple of times per week because we were addicted.

Unfortunately, all of the stores in our area (Grand Rapids) closed down.

We were lucky enough to find this location on the way to Detroit, and stopped in on the way to and the way home from Detroit.

The owners are super friendly, the food was as good as I can remember, and we will definitely be back any time we head to the east side of MI.

“I accidentally stumbled on Ray's and tried the #3 Ray's special. I was very pleased with the portions and the price. The fish was well cooked and seasoned, the chicken was great with nice sized tasty shrimp. Everything was clean and the cashier was nice. I tell about the ate right away meal, the leftovers were pretty amazing... reheated burger and coney dog quickly like 20 or 30 seconds on high in a microwave and fries in an air fryer fries setting but only like 2 minutes. So when the leftovers are great you can bet that the fresh out of the restaurant were even better. Definitely excellent for this kind of meal which, unfortunately, having to be weight conscious I can't eat every day, much to my dismay. But it's so good I would if I could. Definitely recommend for cheeseburger and coney dog with the works and regular fries. Didn't have lefty sauce on the burger just put my own preferred condiments on it. I gave atmosphere a 5 but I didn't eat in, it's not a fancy place but clean, similar to any other primarily take out place. If you wanted to stay and eat in it's fine. I do recommend Lefty's and I will definitely be back for more when I think my waistline will allow it. If I'm gonna indulge myself it will be here for sure.“

He joked with the other staff when not waiting on customers.I ordered a full Chicken Greek grilled wrap. Everything is available as full or half. Full wraps are $13, halves are $10. The other sandwiches are similarly priced.Only had to wait a couple minutes for my sandwich to be made.It was mildly flavored, the Greek/Italian dressing & feta really the only flavor involved. No olives, lots of iceberg and some tomato accompanied the chicken, as well. A touch dry, too.Plenty of seating if you want to stay. They even have electrical outlets under benches so you can recharge your electronic leash, I mean, cell phone.There is a restroom but you have to go into the kitchen to get there.

Vegetarian options: Salads, soups, quesadillas and sandwiches can all be had without meat.

“Okay, overall. Revisited this place after many years. So my review is based on my previous many visits here.

Food was good. But felt the minestrone soup kind of lacked the taste. Then the main course which had basil pesto mentioned in it however on the plate it was more of a topping. Felt it missed the generous amount usually they gave earlier. Also saw that they removed the pesto sauce from the "create your own pasta". Earlier the breads always arrived much before the soup did, but this time they came much later (not good). Also it used to be 5 in the basket but now we got only 3!!

Our waiter was fine. He was polite and courteous. We had a wait of about 10 mins and I observed that there were many booths free, perhaps less staff available today..
