“My wife and I finally stopped in last Wednesday after wanting to try it for years but never being in the area during their open hours (Tuesday through Saturday 4-9). We were not disappointed. I had the Chicken Gregorio which was fantastic as was the stuffed pepper soup. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana which she loved and the Ham and Potato soup which she said was delicious. The bread and oil was great as well. We enjoyed watching the train circling above. All staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience.”

“Stopped in for lunch and ordered the chicken pad Thai, crab rangoons, and the daily soup (a hearty beef-and-rice soup—wish I’d caught the name). Everything came out in a timely manner, piping hot, and stayed that way.
The soup was deeply flavorful with a rich, soy broth. The chicken pad Thai was the perfect spice level—present but never overpowering—and the tamarind sauce was glossy, tangy perfection. Hands down the best crab rangoons I’ve had in years: crispy shells, creamy filling, and zero grease.
Service was spot-on. Didn’t catch our server’s name, but she kept waters topped off and plates cleared without hovering. She was knowledgeable about the menu (we had a lot of questions at the table due to a food allergy) Food came out in minutes, no lag.
If you’re in Wyandotte, skip the chains and head to Coastal Thai. Quick, delicious, and genuinely friendly—already planning my next visit!”

“This is an awesome place. A bar and cafe in the middle of a residential neighborhood, which has been grandfathered for many years zoned as both commercial and residential. Known mostly for his great fish, Frank cooks everything himself to order. He also accepts bitcoin, and there is a downriver Bitcoin meetup every 3rd Saturday monthly. “Very good place. One of my go to spots when heading downtown Wyandotte. Good and tasty basic bar fun menu. Good daily specials. Good happy hour. TVs for sports. Crowd is usually fun. Little outdoor space to chill when weather allows. No negative, all good. I'll be back!”

“I have seen this place online but I am seldom in the area. Saturday my friend and I stopped for lunch. We sat near the front of the building so I had a chance to look the place over. Retired USMC, I know what clean is and this is clean, clean, clean. We each had a variation of their cheeseburger, and both were cooked exactly the way we asked for. Tender, juicy, delicious. We both agreed one of the best burgers we have had in many years. Anxious to go back and try more of their menu. Great service and everyone was "small town" kind of friendly.”

“Wonderful restaurant, authentic polish cuisine and you get a lot. Be prepared to take home half your meal, so worth every penny! The food was amazing! The waitress was super sweet and though it got a bit busy, she was there for anything we needed. I definitely recommend.”

Food is DEEEEELICIOUS! 3 Awesome Brewers/Owners, 5 Outstanding Waitresses, and 2 Superb Cooks. Their constant smiles are catchy for all to view!! Just a wonderful & comfortable place to visit and relax at. And you can play Domino’s there too! Always Enjoy.”

“Stopped in for an iced caramel latte and an everything bagel with chive cream cheese both were delicious. The latte was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, and the bagel tasted fresh with a really flavorful spread. The shop itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe with lots of food and drink options to choose from. A great spot to relax, work, or catch up with someone. I’ll definitely be back!”

“I met up with my family at On the Rocks for Tuesday $1.00 burger night and the food was very good. They have awesome fried rice there too. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food. “If you live in Wyandotte, the Oak is the one of the best places to go for an excellent variety of craft beer both on tap and in bottles. For those in the back of the room, this bar is cash only. Literally, cash only. They do have an ATM inside. Their food menu is amazing and they have a variety of different appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and desserts. If you are a Jeep owner, they have a rubber duck machine. Can’t say enough great things about this place! If you like craft beer, this is the place to be!”

“Came in with my amazing wife to eat lunch and wait for school to get out. The cook came out with what he called a new off menu dish called chicken and dumplings paprikash dish. It was amazing. The flavor was amazing. It looked amazing. The cook was Jeff and the Bar tender was Michelle. Both very professional and nice. This place never lets us down.”

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.”

“My husband and I went for our anniversary. The atmosphere is amazing. It is right on the water and they have huge windows for a great view. It was very quiet, but it was only a couple days after Thanksgiving. Maybe everyone was still enjoying their leftovers. The food was excellent. We tried the steak and cheese egg rolls for the appetizer, the fish and chips and chicken marsala for the main courses, and a non- alcohol berry drink. All of it was fantastic. I brought home cheesecake for dessert. It was good, but a small piece. Everything was reasonably priced and the server, Jasmine was exceptional. She checked on us quite often and was very kind. We will definitely be going back.It looked like they had live music there, but not this night. Maybe next time!”

“We stopped by Gizzmos between a wedding and the reception at the hall down the street. And when I said ‘we’, I mean about 25 guests! The only bartender/ wait staff was incredible !! She kept up with the orders and we all had great drinks. Bravo Gizzmos!!”

“I have eaten here several times over the last few years, the food is always fresh, hot, and the portions are HUGE. The place is a "mom and pop". it's ran by the owners, a husband-and-wife team. Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. If you don't mind the no dine in option or the wait, this will probably be one of the best Chinese food places you have eaten at in the downriver area.”

“Taco shells were not cooked and rice and beans were ice cold! Straight from the refrigerator! Called the Manager and he couldn’t be bothered to come to the phone! I sure won’t be back! There were no cars in the parking lot and no one in the restaurant and it was lunchtime! I should have known better. Don’t waste your time or your money at this dump! I won’t be back that’s for sure!”

“Highly recommend Brickhouse in Wyandotte if you’re looking for a space to host an event! We had a Game On Cancer fundraiser and Lion’s watch party in their upper level yesterday and everything was wonderful. The space is huge, giving us plenty of room for eating and drinking, a kids’ activity area, basket raffles, and more. Their team was very helpful and easy to work with (leading up to the event and on the day-of) and the food was great!”
