“On Friday night, August 11th, I got delayed in Bemidji by thunderstorms. I was supposed to land in Minneapolis by 7 and then go to the hotel for a quiet and relaxing evening. Instead, I arrived at 11:30 p.m., totally exhausted and frazzled. I had missed dinner and my husband called the hotel and asked if he could have a pizza delivered for me. When I arrived, I mentioned this to the women at the front desk. They smiled and told me it was already in my room! I then asked if there was any way I could order a glass of wine to also take to my room. They smiled and said the was already taken care of. When I got to my room, not only did I find a small pizza and glass of wine sitting on the table for me, but they had added a Hersheys Candy bar and a hand written card to me..all on their own!! I still have the card and will keep it as a sign to me of how kind total strangers can be. The card reads, "Welcome! So glad you made it safe. Here's a love token from your husband. Enjoy your night! Sleep tight. Love, HGI staff Give these women a raise!! They turned a very exhausting and stressful night into such a wonderful experience. I was only able to be in your hotel for a total of 6 hours, but I slept so well knowing I was so cared for! Thank you!!!“

“My waiter Addison was great and very attentive. However, the short rib sandwich was over cooked and over priced. On line there were a couple of items that I didn't see on the actual menu while at the restaurant. We were given the lunch menu at the front door, this really confused me, later Addison eventually figured it out. The rest of the experience was nice. The comedy acts were funny, except for the second to last guy, that totally bombed, as part of his act was to call all women bitches. He was poorly prepared, and otherwise was not funny at all, and should not be invited back.“

“Cute place near First Ave and Target Center for a drink. Food is decent, if a little pricey, but that's Downtown Minneapolis for you. I really love the decor here though. As someone with some Scottish heritage, I'd definitely say it reps that aspect well.“

“Really enjoyed my visit here while I was in town on a work trip. Stopped in for a beer and ended up also having one of their hot chicken sandwiches which was very flavorful and a good portion size. The beer was great as well, no surprise. Will definitely be returning if I lm in the area again.“

“What a nice, comfortable, and enjoyable place. We were staying close and wanted a burger for dinner, and the were over the top, fantastic! You gotta have the waffle fries, they’re worth stopping in on their own. The service was spot on, timely, and polite. Olivia was our server and she made us feel like we were her only customers, and the place was busy. Great place to bring the family. Two thumbs up for Team POG, Minneapolis!!“

“I've driven by this place at least 100+ times in the past year. I always thought it was Brazilian Steakhouse or something, but saw than I saw on google it was more classical pub food and decided to stop by on lunch to get a burger and it was better than expected. The Bar area is kind of small, has an overall "Diner" feel to it, with an open view of the kitchen. Overall the food was good, the wedge fries were good, same with the burger sauce.“

“A local Rochester, MN restaurant chain -now branching out to a new location- Newt’s (Apple Valley) brings everything we love about the Rochester locations (GREAT burgers, beers, and unlimited popcorn!) to our little corner of the Metro. “Stopped in at Neisen's last Wednesday night to check out and scout the talent on their karaoke night. Excellent joint, large and spacious. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Very affordable drink and food prices.

Ordered a club sandwich with fries and it was absolutely delicious. Sandwich was toasted just right and lots of meat and veggie in between the perfectly toasted bread. Asked to have the french fries made crispy and they totally met the mark, golden brown crispy and not burnt. Tons and tons of parking.

“Totally accommodated our baseball team during the State Tournament despite not having knowledge of the tournament. They were kind, respectful, and did all they could to get our orders in within a limited amount of time. We love this place and appreciate their willingness to serve us despite being short staff during a crazy, busy time.“

“Lovely little spot to hang out. Beautiful inside and the staff is friendly. They also have a little patio area in the alley. The space as a whole was clean.
I tried the guava cooler mocktail and it was delicious.

“Convenient location to The Armory. Stopped in before a concert. Their website boasts getting the party started before US Bank and Armory events. Saw a nice list of beer on tap. Walked in a little after they opened and was surprised to find many employees getting things situated- mopping floors, placing tables/chairs- things that one would think would have been done before opening. Drink menu was presented and we tried to order a certain beer on tap but then we were told there is only 1 tap beer available (and not the dozen on the menu/wall of tappers)- with no explanation why. We asked- server shrugged he shoulders.
Mojito was excellent tho!! Saw a few people ordering so we ordered one. Fantastic!“

“Not sure why, but this was our first stop here since it changed over years ago. We stopped for happy hour and found a great value with a solid, low cost happy hour menu at the bar. The place has a nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and the sliders and fries were very good for the cost. The food coming out to others from the main menu looked good enough that we know we need to stop back soon.“

“In between flights we stopped at Ike's Clubhouse. We were trying to find a reasonable spot. We all know airport restaurants can be expensive. But with the luck of Google, we were able to find Ike's. Chase, our waiter was good. My wife and I weren't too hungry so we told Chase we were going to share a meal. Well to our surprise, the server came out with our meal split in two plates. My wife and a were in aww of the hospitality. I know I know that you're thinking, that is a minor detail, but to us that went a long way. I was just expecting a plate with our food, I'd cut it in half and ask for another plate, but they thought about that prior. Besides that, the food was good, the price was reasonable for an airport restaurant and the hospitality was top notch. Thank you Chase and staff!!

“The food was fantastic, we had a burger, pretzel sticks, and a margarita. The service was a bit lacking, but not terrible. The back of the house was so fast and accurate. Great place to go during a layover, with a great bookstore very close.“

“Stopped in for happy hour and early dinner, the guac was great, ceviche had good flavor but was tough to eat with the size of the shrimp and the amount if juice. The Almond chicken with eloté corn was a tremendous dish that I am very glad our server recommended, the quesadilla was also good and I'd recommend as a great dish to share. Margaritas looked great but I'll have to try them next time.“

“The soup and salad were good. The loaded potatoe soup was average at best. The cesar sald was a balanced combination of greens and dressing. The original Philly cheesesteak was slightly above average (if you don't live or acustum to authentic Philadelphia cheesesteaks. Service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was what you would expect from a franchise. The cheesesteak bun could have been toasted more and and the beef was lacking a bit of seasoning. I recommend having the chipotle aioli on the side for a more authentic cheesesteak experience. The French fries were blassay. Will come come back for a football game but not necessarily a date night destination.“
