“This was the very first bar I came to when I moved to saint cloud. It wasn't my go to bar because it was out of my "jurisdiction". Vfw ended up becoming one of my favorite cornerstones. I ended up being in vfw's neighborhood. If your looking for friendly banter, with a Cheers tv show atmosphere. Come to vfw have a couple drinks and ask for juju. You will fall in love with the many patrons and older veterans who make vfw a very cool place.“

“Got some takeout, great service! The place itself is nice I really like how it’s an “underground” feel. I got th jumbo pretzel, that name does NOT disappoint! It was HUGE!! I also got the dry rub wings, pretty decent; but I wouldn’t come here for wings again. I’m definitely stopping by to try the specials they offer, as I’ve heard that’s the best part! Overall good experience, if you’re craving bar food, but not BAR food, stop here!!“

“Friendly and helpful staff. Just wish our drinks stayed filled up more often. Food was pretty. Philly steak was pretty good. The appetizer cheese curds were really good. The mashed potatoes were a bit on the weird side and served a bit on the cold side. Otherwise the rest of the group liked their food. They do have some good gluten-free options which are group appreciated.“

“Came in on a Saturday night from a coworker’s recommendation, and will 100% be back. The hostess was welcoming and kind, and customers all gave off a content and comfortable vibe.
You HAVE to try any one of their burgers, we got the curd burger and the queso burger. Holy smokes. Amazing.
The fries were also super crispy and everything tasted fresh and amazing.
Very kind staff and amazing service.

“BOO to all the naysayers. I drive from Coon Rapids at least once a month just to breathe some non-city air and deal with down-to-earth friendly people. Have never seen or experienced any negativity towards anyone. Yes, it can get a little raucous and rowdy at times but THAT IS A BONUS!! They don't have a fancy menu but that's not what it's about. You can walk up to anyone in there and start talking to them and it's like they know you and you know them. The people that have had a problem there, I'M SORRY but . . . . . the problem is THEMSELVES. (sp???) whatever. LOL)“
