“Strawberry coconut dream is quite sweet definitely a good balance of coconut and strawberry flavors (heavily). Tacos are on the larger quantity side. Sesame Chicken taco is crispy, tangy, with a good kick of spice. Al pastor taco is good, tangy with the bit of pineapple. Carnitas taco is very savory and juicy. The corn tortillas are nice and soft. Definitely have the sesame last because it overwhelms the other flavors. The sweet corn cake is super soft, a very light cornbread flavor. Elote is good, simple and yummy.“

“Incredible birthday dinner last night. Everything was perfect, starting with beautiful, interesting cocktails. We loved the mezcal old fashioned, finished with beautiful smoke from burning corn silk. Extra special is the bone in birria, which I will be dreaming about for many months. Super beefy silken meat, loaded with flavor. Don’t pass on the pork shank if you love roast pork! We had the nicest guy as our server, who was so enthusiastic about the food he brought us and happy to handle our big table complete with kids. I will go back!“

He told us they have a variety of original house salsas with different degrees of heat to choose from, we tried 2 and they were both very tasty. Everything had a true Mexican flavor! Very clean, it was full of Mexican and Latinamerican customers on a Sunday afternoon. It is a small restaurant inside a supermaket with a great team and genuine Mexican food. They have special discounts every weekday. I can’t wait to come back!“

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. “stopped today on the way home from the grocery store. what a lucky stop. my partner and I shared 3 taco El pastor. they were amazing. they came with rice and beans which were also amazing. the El pastor was savory with a mild spice, the beans were soft and cooked to perfection. the rice was also cooked perfect, soft, fluffy and had a wonderful savory flavor. we paid around 12 dollar for the whole meal which fed the 2 of us. keep in mind I don't eat much so if your lady eats more you may need to get an extra taco. however the price for the quality and service was exceptional and we will be back.“
