“Tasty unique cocktails. I think they should bring some food back though, I can drink more when I am eating! All the musical acts were good, especially Fenix Dion. The sound was fine for my ears, but I think the shape of the room made it hard for my phone to get good video.“

“I have to admit I love setting up "quests" for myself. Best apple pie. Best gin. My newest quest is looking for the best birria tacos in the Twin Cities. Birria tacos are filled with slow coated meat cooked with spices and served in crispy corn tortillas. They originated in Michoacan in Mexico, and they are delicious! That is how we ended up at Nico's. Last weekend I picked up a batch take-out. Last night we ate at the restaurant. We arrived early and sat at the bar so we could talk about tequila and mezcal with the bartenders. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and I ask a lot of questions. I opted for the flight of repasado tequila. The shots were served in this amazingly cool wooden box decorated with a skull design. They were all good, and generally I don't like tequila! It turns out that the various types of tequila ( white, repasado, anejo) are incredibly different. My husband was ordering a cocktail, and the bartender recommended a different one, with Mexican whiskey and a corn liqueur, and my husband really liked it.Our friends arrived, and we sat at our table. We got their house made chips with a flight of salsas...I loved the roasted corn one but all were good. Of course I ordered the birria tacos - you get three complete with consume and radishes, onions, etc. These really are delicious. They are made with lamb, and it was tender and juicy. My husband and our friends got a mix of tacos. I liked the pescado and pescado asado tacos, but they needed a bit more salt and a bit more topping. The mushroom one was interesting, but rather bland. The single tacos range from $4-5, so it is very affordable. I also had their horchata, which was a very nice version of this classic rice and cinnamon drink. It was not overly sweet, which was very nice! All in all it was a lovely meal. I will absolutely go back for those birria tacos. The service could not have been better. They were attentive, kept the water glasses filled, and in every way made us feel taken care of. I recommend this place a lot.“

“This restaurant is my favorite place for my carne asada torta. It is made with love! I've traveled to many other cities and tried tortas from other places with none that is as good as this place. I miss the older gentlemen behind the grill, I did recently chat with him again and he mentioned he's taken a step back to help manage the restaurant. Check this place out.“

“Not sure if they’re still in business, every time I’ve called the past 2 weeks it goes straight to voicemail and they haven’t been open. Kinda sucks, their tacos were really great (especially the birria and carnitas) the service was always amazing, and I liked being able to support a local business. Guess I gotta find a new taco place ?“

Roasted jalapeños are so good they make their own green and red sauces and a Sunday buffet you don't have enough room for their huge selection ,my favorite Mexican food in Minnesota.“

“My husband and I visited on a Sunday afternoon specifically to try their version of a crunch wrap supreme - The Centro Crunch. This restaurant is so aesthetic! We were seated right away and there was no wait, which was great. Drink and food ordering is via QR code, which was a little difficult trying to time out our appetizer with our main entrees, but it ended up working out just fine. We started with a mimosa and N/A margarita and the N/A margarita tasted JUST like a regular one - I was shocked! It was slightly sweet but tart - YUM. After perusing the menu, we ordered the centro crunch, the chorizo & egg crunch, and the tater tots with ranch. After taste testing both of the crunch wraps, we surprisingly liked the chorizo and egg crunch better than the seasoned beef crunch! Overall, we'll definitely be back for brunch and possibly lunch to try some different menu items!“

“The food was good. Had a breakfast platter. 1st time, I stopped by there in the morning.Eggs were cooked as asked. Sausage links were good.Service was prompt and efficient.Staff was friendly.Typical sports bar atmosphere. Bank of TVs behind the bar.A week later, I stopped by in the afternoon and had a platter of parmesan fries with bacon bits. Even though I was sick, they were quite tasty, and I finished the whole platter, which was a large portion.Again, the staff was friendly. Wait-staff were efficient, and did a good job of checking in on me to see if I needed anything else but were not overly bothersome.Kid-friendliness: There were at least two tables with children, and the waitresses I witnessed interacted with the children. I would say yes, kid friendly for an airport sports bar.“

“I LOVE the Del Gordo burger! Such a tapestry of flavors that I wouldn’t have ever combined, but whoever did was a genius. I’ve also had their tacos and would also recommend those. My hesitation with going here is not the entrees but the fries. Every time I go here it just feels like the fries are a sad after thought. They are pretty soggy, not flavorful, and just smooshed into a paper bag. I wish the meal was as good as the entrees.“
