“If you like Kwik Trip food this is it but better and for better value. There are also additional options that Kwik Trip doesn’t offer. The portion sizes are huge and the food is hot and fresh. Order from a menu at the Hearty Platter counter and then grab a coffee or a Buddy (free refills of both when dining in), and check out at the Kwik Trip register with your drink and Hearty Platter receipt. Sit down at a table and someone will bring you your food. No tips required but if you do tip they are donated to a charity.“

“Beautiful restaurant! We got seated on St Patrick's Day at a corner winder table with our friends and the view was very nice overlooking the Mississippi River. Our waiter was friendly but spoke loud and fast which was a bit annoying but the delicious food made up for it-the appetizer of escargot and my Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked and so tender. The dessert of Turtle Cheesecake wasn't as good as I've had before but that's okay. Will done again in a heartbeat! We all had a very nice evening!“

“We love this place. I’m not usually a big steak eater, but their ribeye is spot-on. The scallops, shrimp, and seafood specials are always excellent. Garlic bread and mashed potatoes are crave-able. Stiff drinks, and always worth trying to save room for tiramisu. Look forward to trying the ribs soon. I’m always surprised that we only end up spending maybe $20 more for the two of us than we would at some mediocre chain. Make a reservation :)“

“Excellent gluten free selections (ask for the GF menu). And fantastic Creole seasoning. We were there at lunch. My wife ordered the blackened walleye with rice and coleslaw. I ordered the blackened catfish with rice and steamed vegetables. Portions so generous that we will not be eating dinner. We loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Also have the option of outdoor seating. Our server Olivia did a fantastic job. Never felt like she was hovering. We felt that the meals were offered at a fair price. We will definitely be back.“

“Hi there! This place has been a bit of a magical place for my now fiancé and I. We had our first anniversary here and it was incredible. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food. Everyone is kind, friendly, and conversational. By the time the next year rolled around we knew where we wanted to spend our second anniversary and came right on back. It was the 28th of April and as we were going through the specials with the waiter an older gentleman siting a booth away shot his warm voice over and exclaimed how amazing the starter special was. I chatted with him and as the date progressed he offered to take pictures of us, complimented my lovely then girlfriend, and was overall a joy. The waiter came back around and we weren’t getting appetizers—straight into entrees but I ordered the special the man recommended foolishly without realizing that it was a starter and switched my order to the amazing chile shrimp pasta with arugula dish. The man noticed this and smoothly moved to the waiter out of the corner of my eye and before I knew it we had the starter special. It was as good as the man exclaimed. I was going to go offer to buy the man a drink or perhaps chat with him further when he put on his cap and left for the evening. After an amazing time (to be expected when you come here) the waiter announced that the owner had comped our drinks as well. To you sir, whom I assume are the owner of Restore Public House. Thank you very much for such a wonderful evening. You have an amazing place that genuinely seems to have everything a restaurant should be about: good food and good people. I want you to know I proposed that night in your restaurant and she said yes!! I’m hoping your influence spreads wide and who knows? Might have to make anniversaries at Restore Public House a tradition.“

“Was in the area for a Girls Weekend and opted to go to Red Pines for a Friday night Fish Fry...based on other Google reviews. We knew we'd be adding our name to a waiting list when we got there and saw a very full parking lot. Nice bar area...lots of selections. Could have used another bartender as the 2 girls were struggling to keep up. We had to wait about a half hour but that's what they estimated and it was worth the wait . The menu was exceptional for a fish fry... lots of choices. My perch plate was hot, well seasoned and was NOT over battered. Perfect! I'd definitely come here again when travelling in the Lacrosse area!!“

“We went to Pogreba for the first time for my birthday. Everything about our time there was amazing. Our server Lexi was the best! Knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I honestly think she is the best server I have ever met. The food was delicious. From the aps to the dessert everything was great. “I asked my 7 year old daughter what star rating we should give. She said the food was 5 stars, but the room temp was freezing cold so she said 4 stars. I think she was spot on. Great food, pretty good service, just super cold inside. We got her a blanket and wrapped her up. Could see other people wearing shorts rubbing their legs because they were cold. Wouldn't keep us from going back, we'd just wear a jacket and bring a blanket for the kids in the summer kind of thing. Lol. Just suggest finding a happy medium between comfortable temp for staff who are actively walking around, and guests who are sitting and are noticeably freezing.“

“Their tenderloin sliders are definitely an item to try . Tender steak done perfect & added pepperjack cheese & onion. So delicious . “Girls weekend in LaCrosse. Asked our server at a pizzeria on Saturday night for a recommendation for breakfast on Sunday morning. He recommended Rosie's. Old fashioned diner that does a brisk breakfast trade on weekends. Food was good, coffee was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. The pancakes were tinted green (we were there on St Patrick's Day) and were light and fluffy. I like a pancake that's heavier so these were a miss for me but their breakfast sausages and marbled bread toast were exceptional.“

“We ate at The Breakfast Club last weekend. It was very good and highly recommend. Get the donut holes as an appetizer. I think they do them in 6 or 15. Do yourself a favor and go with the higher quantity. You will be disappointed if you don't. All 4 of us got something different for the main course and everyone was very satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again when we go back to the area.“

“Our family came to Howies after my daughter raved about this place. We brought my brother and his daughter with. We got to sit up top so our waitress had to carry our drinks and food to up to us. If you haven’t met waitress Jessica W yet you must! She was a rock star! She kept our drinks full and got our food to us in a timely manner. She was so friendly and we all loved her. “Classic nostalgia food, can't get better than this then a drive in car hop Old skool burger place. The burgers were great, taste like what a burger should taste like. Onions rings - crispy and delicious. Service good as it gets. Chili dog was good, nothing fancy but chili, cheesy and chopped onions. Pork tenderloin sandwich, taste okay, not much flavor besides a pork ground patty bread and slap on sesame bun with lettuce. Overall everything is great, only drawback for s that is cash or check only- no debit or credit cards. They do have an ATM.“

“Neuie's is a Northside gem, their food and team never fail to impress. We have had issues with delivery services (no fault of Neuie's) and they're always incredibly kind and compassionate, you can tell they care about their business. Hat's off to Neuie's Vogue, the best little bar you've probably driven by and definitely should turn around to go back to.“
