“If you like Kwik Trip food this is it but better and for better value. There are also additional options that Kwik Trip doesn’t offer. The portion sizes are huge and the food is hot and fresh. Order from a menu at the Hearty Platter counter and then grab a coffee or a Buddy (free refills of both when dining in), and check out at the Kwik Trip register with your drink and Hearty Platter receipt. Sit down at a table and someone will bring you your food. No tips required but if you do tip they are donated to a charity.”

The restaurant only had 3 other tables, so not a case of being too busy. In a restaurant of this caliber and price, I expect nearly 100% every time. “This is such a great little bakery! It’s amazing to be able to eat anything. I’m not used to having so many options to choose from. I picked up treats for my whole family and even those who can eat regular gluten products thoroughly enjoyed them. “We had the hot honey pepperoni and the burrata, 10/10. The hot honey pepperoni was bananas and we can’t wait to get it again. Our 1.5 year absolutely devoured it as well (as seen pictured). Along with the delicious pizza, there was wonderful service provided. So glad we finally tried this place!”

“Just SOUTH OF HWY 94 ON COUNTY HWY 35. Easy to find, and oh,I raised my 8 kids eating this food to feed them all the food groups.... Need I say more?? Nice country setting like we're home as well. “We love this place. I’m not usually a big steak eater, but their ribeye is spot-on. The scallops, shrimp, and seafood specials are always excellent. Garlic bread and mashed potatoes are crave-able. Stiff drinks, and always worth trying to save room for tiramisu. Look forward to trying the ribs soon. I’m always surprised that we only end up spending maybe $20 more for the two of us than we would at some mediocre chain. Make a reservation :)”

“We were looking for a new breakfast place to try in La Crosse and stumbled upon this one with a simple Google search. I have to say, I rarely give reviews but this one deserves a good one! From the minute we stepped in the door to the very end of our meal, we were treated like family! The staff were incredibly friendly. The coffee was so smooth, I had to ask the waitress where they get their coffee beans from. I ate the kimchi toast with an egg and a side salad, my husband had the breakfast hash with egg and potatoes, and our son had the French toast. I would highly recommend all of these meals (because I tried them all) to anyone who's looking for a gourmet breakfast in this area! We usually go to La Crosse Family Restaurant, but the DAMN Tasty is like 10 notches above this one! At the end of our meal, we took some smoothies to-go, and they were also delicious!! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our 4 year old son, and we sat in a booth. He enjoyed seeing the baked goods and the beautiful plants on the shelf. The kids menu had the perfect kid choices on them, especially for our picky eater!”

“Excellent gluten free selections (ask for the GF menu). And fantastic Creole seasoning. We were there at lunch. My wife ordered the blackened walleye with rice and coleslaw. I ordered the blackened catfish with rice and steamed vegetables. Portions so generous that we will not be eating dinner. We loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Also have the option of outdoor seating. Our server Olivia did a fantastic job. Never felt like she was hovering. We felt that the meals were offered at a fair price. We will definitely be back.”

“Hi there! This place has been a bit of a magical place for my now fiancé and I. We had our first anniversary here and it was incredible. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food. Everyone is kind, friendly, and conversational. By the time the next year rolled around we knew where we wanted to spend our second anniversary and came right on back. It was the 28th of April and as we were going through the specials with the waiter an older gentleman siting a booth away shot his warm voice over and exclaimed how amazing the starter special was. I chatted with him and as the date progressed he offered to take pictures of us, complimented my lovely then girlfriend, and was overall a joy. The waiter came back around and we weren’t getting appetizers—straight into entrees but I ordered the special the man recommended foolishly without realizing that it was a starter and switched my order to the amazing chile shrimp pasta with arugula dish. The man noticed this and smoothly moved to the waiter out of the corner of my eye and before I knew it we had the starter special. It was as good as the man exclaimed. I was going to go offer to buy the man a drink or perhaps chat with him further when he put on his cap and left for the evening. After an amazing time (to be expected when you come here) the waiter announced that the owner had comped our drinks as well. To you sir, whom I assume are the owner of Restore Public House. Thank you very much for such a wonderful evening. You have an amazing place that genuinely seems to have everything a restaurant should be about: good food and good people. I want you to know I proposed that night in your restaurant and she said yes!! I’m hoping your influence spreads wide and who knows? Might have to make anniversaries at Restore Public House a tradition.”

“Loved the atmosphere here. The baristas seemed a bit put-off to be helping us, especially when I didn't know you picked up the food at a window way in the back and I asked about it. My friend's coffee drink got forgotten, and one barista was way nicer after that. The coffee (some kind of rosemary mocha) was really amazing, as was the cinnamon butter biscuit. I would love to try more food and the brunch cocktails next time.”
