“Fitger's is a very popular place that I learned about from my son-in-law who fishes in the area. I can only confirm what thousands of people already know. If you missed Fitger's, you missed Duluth. It has a couple of hundred years of family owned tradition and holds to a high standard in preparing food and brewing beer. Fitger's is adjacent to the boardwalk along Lake Superior and a short distance from the Duluth trading company.“

“Last night the Buffalo House hosted our company Christmas Party. I can’t find the words to tell you how amazing it was! All of our guests are still raving about the food today! It was delicious, timely, and there was plenty! Our bartender was so fun, and made the night even better. The facility is beautiful! I met some guy who said he used to have a job as a technician and he also said if I saw someone crying it was because of my haircut. I asked him if he wanted to fight and he said no he just wanted to drink. I had to admit that the haircut was bad. I had another beer to consider the situation, and then I left and got a haircut.“

“First time stopping in at the Gopher. We went to meet with some friends to play Friday evening bingo and was surprised by how good the food was. The beer battered fries were outstanding, as well as the chicken wings. Our friends got the flat bread and onion rings. The place was packed for bingo, but our server Lisa did the best she could, and we had a great time.“

Bartender was really great and got us hooked up with CBD treats for our dog which should even trying to find, and also tons of great suggestions for the area. “This is an easy going chill bar. It has cleaned up a bit since my last visit. Still a dive but, I like dives. The patrons seem to be a tich older than the crowd at Ds. No kitchen there so dont come hungy. There is a McDonalds around the block though.“

“Historic brewery in Duluth. It is buried inside the old brewery which now hosts several businesses. The tap room is in the old barrel room which is a great environment for having a beer or two. If you have a big group they have some overflow space.

On my stop they had 8 of their beers on tap including: an apricot wheat, starfish pale ale, an American lager, oatmeal stout, hazy IPA, sour dragonfruit, another lager and a dunkle that is really quite good. Everything is pretty good but nothing really blew my mind. They do serve food in the barrel room which is great. Service is good and they have a full bar for those less inclined to breweries. Stop and have a good time.“

“I've lived nearby for years and finally made the time to stop in. Had a delicious burger for lunch and ladies with a mildly irritated attitude were holding the place down, yet they made sure I felt welcomed. It was was like being in my grandma's kitchen. Quiet during the day, but judging by the band stage setup they have I'm willing to bet it gets a bit rowdier on the weekends.

“Great vibes and the environment was good. But the French dip sandwich, PLEASE take that off your menu. It was served dry. It tasted cold, dry and tough. The fries tasted better than the sandwich itself. I don't imagine that sandwich gets ordered often. Cut your losses and get rid of it.“

“Sorry, we have not eaten at the chalet, but it is so convenient for going skiing at Spirit Mountain. We noticed the other day almost every table was filled & our friend ordered a delicious wrap there. The chalet has many tables in an area away from thd restaurant, and big picture windows to view the ski hill. A woman in a wheel chair was sitting near thd windows & enjoyed watching the skiiers. I believe the lower challenge has better menu items and a nicer dining area to sit in.

Parking: There are handicapped parking spaces, but an uphill climb to the challet on a cement sidewalk. A person in a wheelchair would need some assistance.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy to get around with handicapped accessible bathrooms within the challet. Automatic door openers.“
