“Fitger's is a very popular place that I learned about from my son-in-law who fishes in the area. I can only confirm what thousands of people already know. If you missed Fitger's, you missed Duluth. It has a couple of hundred years of family owned tradition and holds to a high standard in preparing food and brewing beer. Fitger's is adjacent to the boardwalk along Lake Superior and a short distance from the Duluth trading company.“

“I camped here and check in and hook up went smooth. The porta potties were very clean.
We were in the lower area and I wish there was another shower/bath house. The one by the restaurant is pretty unaccessible to most of the campground. When I did use it it was clean and well maintained though.“

“Typical Minnesota bar, pool tables, locals, and a real experience. Looks a lot nicer inside than the exterior gives off. The absolute nicest dive bar bathrooms I’ve ever been in. Drinks were reasonably priced around $5 a drink. This is a place where you could easily become a regular.“

“UPDATE: I'm sitting here watching Steph, the owner bringing a more comfortable chair to an older gentlemen with a bad leg. No one asked her too she's just always aware and always trying to make things nice for the patrons. She rocks and so does the Caddy Shack in Duluth.
Also, it's such a fun place. They have live music, DJ Trivia, Bingo, etc. The staff have always been really friendly and the whole place just has a real positive vibe. They also have private off-street parking. The other night I tried a chocolate flavored stout beer, surprisingly it was really cool. I hope that you check this place out.“
“A great bar, bartender is the best. Nice home town bar, like bars used to be. Glad I finally made it here“

“Historic brewery in Duluth. It is buried inside the old brewery which now hosts several businesses. The tap room is in the old barrel room which is a great environment for having a beer or two. If you have a big group they have some overflow space.
On my stop they had 8 of their beers on tap including: an apricot wheat, starfish pale ale, an American lager, oatmeal stout, hazy IPA, sour dragonfruit, another lager and a dunkle that is really quite good. Everything is pretty good but nothing really blew my mind. They do serve food in the barrel room which is great. Service is good and they have a full bar for those less inclined to breweries. Stop and have a good time.“

“While our food was good, we were a party of 8 and apparently they are unable to seat a party of 8 all at one table, though no one told us that when we checked in. Would've been nice to know.“

“That is really the great bar!
If you love cocktails, this is where you should be!
Classics are perfect, but if you want some experiments, ask bartender for that, just explain him direction.
All team who work here is really nice!
Wish to.come back once.“

“Stopped by after work on a whim. I normally frequent a different local spot but decided on a change. Service was above and beyond. Lisa was super friendly and accommodating. I got the spinach artichoke dip and it was super good, full of flavor and cheese. Definitely plan to go back!
Parking: BIG lot just across the street dedicated just for their customers.“

“This is an easy going chill bar. It has cleaned up a bit since my last visit. Still a dive but, I like dives. The patrons seem to be a tich older than the crowd at Ds. No kitchen there so dont come hungy. There is a McDonalds around the block though.“
“Great local bar to just relax and have fun with friends“
“We stopped in for breakfast after church on Sunday, as we have done from time to time. The breakfast was great, as usual, but the highlight of our visit was our server, Lexi. Lexi was very prompt, cheerful, friendly and accommodating. I sincerely hope that Grand View Grill knows what a treasure they have in Lexi!!“

“Went to eat on fish fry night with family and had to stand until seats opened up. Fish was nice and not too hard, rather flaky. Most tables are high top. They do have handicap ramp but not a great seat up inside for it. They often have live music. My suggestion to the owners though is make the parking lot more than earth either gravel or pavement, also add more light at night. I'm glad my rents didn't slip on the icy mud and unseen ruts.
Parking: Ruddy earth parking but big. Muddy when wet.
Wheelchair accessibility: Have a ramp but most of the tables are high top.“

“This is my favorite breakfast/brunch in Duluth. I feel like breakfast can be hard sometimes, but not here. Multiple labeled vegan options and the waiters are accommodating and helpful to veganize other items. Vegan baked goods are delicious too.“

“Private party, so bar was closed off to public. Bartenders worked their tail off & still friendly and fast. We were 3rd & 4th person in line for food, which oddly was cold. Mashed potatoes were good but no gravy, butter, or anything (strange) to put on them. They did off barbecue sauce “

“I love hole in the wall places like this! There's some water damage to the ceiling and the outside looks a little sketch but I think that's part of the atmosphere for me.Our waitress was phenomenal. The food came up quickly and was the best damn bar food I've had in years. Beer was cold and went well with the popcorn.Hope to visit again next year!“
“Great place to hang out, have some drinks, and of course shoot pool on the best diamond tables in Duluth.“

“Local Duluthian. This used to be a family favorite spot, it felt like a "Special" place to go. We rarely come here in recent years. The last few times its clear how run down this spot is becoming - you have such a great location, beautiful view of lake superior, tourist hot spot ... but its sad how run down its becoming, carpets, worn down booths. . . . Leaving this review to try encourage owners to put a little pride back into this restaurant and do Duluth Proud.“
“Sorry, we have not eaten at the chalet, but it is so convenient for going skiing at Spirit Mountain. We noticed the other day almost every table was filled & our friend ordered a delicious wrap there. The chalet has many tables in an area away from thd restaurant, and big picture windows to view the ski hill. A woman in a wheel chair was sitting near thd windows & enjoyed watching the skiiers. I believe the lower challenge has better menu items and a nicer dining area to sit in.
Parking: There are handicapped parking spaces, but an uphill climb to the challet on a cement sidewalk. A person in a wheelchair would need some assistance.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy to get around with handicapped accessible bathrooms within the challet. Automatic door openers.“

“Came for date night, we both had beer and burgers, beer was good and cold, and the burgers were delicious (fries too), staff was on point, and made sure we were topped off while waiting on food (smart). Reccomend for lunch and dinner. Just wish there were more places like this to eat/visit in the Pike Lake/Twig area.“

“Visiting my niece and she suggested Burrito Union for lunch as it is across the street from her house. Great suggestion. The server was very attentive and pleasant. The margarita was well made, priced well, and tasted great. Our tables food choices included Ultimate Tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and a Buddha bowl. Not one complaint from anyone. We all loved our choices. I personally had the Buddha bowl with carnitas, sweet potatoes, and poblano corn. I wish I lived in Duluth, because I already wish I could have it again. Great experience. Will visit again in a month.
Parking: Street parking is abundant. We were there Labor Day weekend and found parking easily. There is also a free parking lot across the street.“
