“Let’s get real… I stopped in to check out the Pharm Juice Bar in Duluth today. I selected an açaí bowl that felt interesting and asked about the granola because sometimes granola has nuts in it and I have a nut allergy. The gal behind the counter kindly let me know it contained almonds and offered to leave it off—great, awesome! My bowl ended up coming out with the granola. Mistakes happen BUT what matters is how you react. My fiancé kindly let them know we had ordered the bowl without nuts. He picked up on my exhaustion right away. The gals working there were amazing! Not only did they correct the mistake, they also went above and beyond to make it up to us. Having a food allergy is exhausting, but it’s great to know there are awesome places like this willing to go the extra mile to make it easier. Plus this açaí bowl was AMAZING!! “Another amazing meal to celebrate a friend’s birthday (Anne). Niki was our server and from the moment we arrived (90 minutes before our reservation time) we had excellent service and advice. The wine was outstanding (and a bonus, it was Wednesday half price wine day). Split by 3 a bottle was ideal. Anne had the smorgasbord which was a visual sensation and exploded with delicious flavors! Lynn had the beets followed by the asparagus and egg sandwich. All of it was a delicious treat. I had the curry mussels with a side of fritas and as much as I wanted escargot I was full and content. Oh but the cream brûlée shared completed our meal.“

“Honestly, this place deserves 10 stars! My wife and I had reservations for our 15 year wedding anniversary and wow did they go above and beyond!! They had the most delicious food and my wife who has celiac disease had so many options to pick from for food. They made our night so special and I was beyond impressed. We were both brought to tears from how friendly and kind the staff were. 10000000% recommend to anyone and everyone!!! Thanks so much again - Brandon and Julie :)“

“We came to Burrito Union for the first time this week after living in Duluth for 4 years. Shame on us!!! We split a Rasputin (It is HUGE) and ordered some chips with guac and salsa. Our server Simon was FANTASTIC. Attentive but didn't hover over us. He was fast and very friendly, but not fake friendly. The food was PERFECT. The burrito was very flavorful and it tasted fresh which is a biggie for us. The chips were probably the best chips I've had in Duluth. I know its small but I hate greasy or soggy chips. The salsa was pure perfection. We tried the Garden, Tomatillo, and Salsa Verde salsas and they also tasted wonderful and had the perfect amount of heat. Not bland like most Minnesota salsa, and not OMG I'm sweating to death hot. They do have an option like that, and I'll be trying that next time! My only complaint is that we didn't come here sooner. We'll be regulars now.“
