Bars near Freeport

“My husband and I stopped at this bar last night for a quick bite to eat after our son's baseball game in a nearby town. I had the special; a heaping basket of crispy chicken strips and yummy fries. He had a great cheeseburger basket with fried onions, that was done to perfection as well. We each had an ice cold beer and our bill came to $20.00! Wow! Great atmosphere and the patrons even took the time to chat with us as they walked by. Yep....Highly recommend!!!“

“Oh my that was some fantastic food!! The ribs were perfect, the brisket was tender and the boneless wings were killer! Homemade everything including the delicious blue cheese and pioneer potatoes...everything was soooooo good! Portions were large, staff was friendly and the decor was great!! Highly recommend and will return!!“

“For some reason, the two bars next to each other on this block seem to be suffering from an identity crisis. One calls itself a tavern, but it more closely resembles what I would describe as a sports bar. The other call themselves a sports bar, but it definitely has more of a tavern feel.I couldn't get to the bottom of this conundrum. Perhaps you can. Both establmemts are great. I'd suggest you go to both and see what you can solve the riddle.“

“We found this little gem on Google maps after buying a SxS in Melrose. The bar wasn't busy when we were there. The food was good, the bartender was very friendly, and the place was really clean. Booze, Bber, Pulltabs, and ETabs.....what more could you ask for!“
