“when i was working in the area, it was my go-to bar! loved the place! was back in the 90's... my whole crew would always go here. we even got to use the kitchen to make deer stew for the place once! Tongen Constucion via United Telephone...“
“Relaxed dining with great views of Lake Peppin at Lake City, MN. I recommend anything from the smokehouse meats. Check hours before you go as they differ by season. After dinner take a nice walk next to the lake on the t paved path provided by the good people of Lake City. This city on the Mississippi River is a very popular destination year around so plan ahead.“
“We've had great experiences at Kelly's in Red Wing, so we stopped off here when we were in Lake City. On a Sunday at 4pm, the place was pretty crowded inside; seats were offered offered on the patio, but as the temperature was in the 50s, I'm not sure if many were taking the offer. The TVs over the bar were showing the Packers game and bowling, which seemed quite regionally appropriate. Service was consistently slow throughout our visit. We had a tiny high top and it became increasingly crowded with dirty dishes and platters that weren't picked up as more things came out. My husband had a stack of signed receipts from previous customers that were sitting on the room divide inches away from him, and they weren't picked up until near the end of our visit. The food, however, was delicious. We started off with cheese curds. My husband ordered a beer and I had a cider. For our main dishes, I had the margherita flatbread while my husband had the Barge, what they call their all-meat pizza. Everything was excellent. My husband had a lot leftover, and when he asked for a take-out container, he was given a standard Styrofoam box. Not the best conveyance for pizza, as pieces had to be stacked, making the bottom layer steam and go soggy. I think we'd come here again based on the food and the nice vibe, but I hope the service issues are fixed soon.“
“Food hasn't disappointed the last two times we've been through. Got the salmon last time and the street corn burger this time. Both were really good. Their bloody Mary's are really good too. Plenty of seating, pulltabs, merch, and a few smaller arcade games, so it's got a little entertainment. Didn't go into the bowling alley, but it's surprisingly not loud for being right in the next room.“
“Wow!! What a wonderful place! My new favorite! I left feeling so healthy and good about myself ❤️❤️❤️The food was absolutely and I mean outstanding quality and flavor!!! Sarah the owner was our bartender and was such a sweetheart. I can’t get over how good the prices are!!!! We had two meals two bears and two cocktails and it came out to around $40! There’s also games to play while waiting for food. We choose to play chess. Enjoyed every second being there. She has a little shop in there too has dry herbs and even raw frankincense! Beautiful porch to eat out on too! Really neat place!“
“The food quality and ever-changing daily specials are a wonderful surprise and exceeded my expectations for a small place. The staff are attentive and entertaining, and the prices are very reasonable too.Dietary restrictions: Everything is made in-house, including the salad dressings and chip dips, so they were very accommodating of my special requests.“
“First of all the place was so inviting because of Amanda’s kind welcoming, she treated us as though we were her friends. The food was fantastic, the vibe was laid back, not to mention the view was peaceful. I highly recommend this place. My wife and I will definitely be coming back.“
“We've stopped in here a handful of times passing through and have always been very pleased. Such a nice atmosphere in a really cool and decorative building. Not to mention the view is amazing and the drinks are cold. You have to try the Maiden Rock cider they have on tap or you're missing out!“
“It's a blink-you-miss-it town dive bar. Which isn't a bad thing! Everybody knows everybody, the owner works with his employees, and it just exudes that "grab a seat and stay a while" vibe. Our waitress was a bit... short with us, and I would give five stars if the food was a little better quality. Nothing to really complain about, but nothing to write home to your mama about, either. A good joint for a bite and a beer if you're driving through on 61. ?“
“Loved everything. The patrons were not a rowdy crowd, the bartender was friendly and prompt and remembered what we were drinking, the atmosphere was perfect, and the owner is very friendly. Tim has gone above and beyond expectation in this venture, creating a clean, respectable and friendly environment for everyone to enjoy.“
