That’s never happened to me there before. They felt really bad about it and made me a new one and comped my meal and that of my friend. That is above and beyond an excellent customer service. “I, quite literally, had the best meal of my life here! We shared the samosas, grilled scallops, grilled salmon, butter chicken, and a ginger chaitini. The flavor in these dishes was something I have never experienced at any other restaurant. They genuinely have a menu that caters to everyone’s likes and tastes. The service was wonderful and the owner was incredibly kind and eager to share his passion with us. I will 100000% be coming back and I highly recommend you go as well!“

“We went to India Kutir on a wendsday evening for my partners birthday. The server got us a free app and we ordered 3 entrees to share. All 3 were excellent with the Lamb Curry being the stand out. Service was excellent as well. 5/5 will return might only order 2 entrees next time. We had lots of leftovers.“

“Wow, I have been looking for a great Indian place in the area, and I've found it! I had ordered takeout from here a few years ago and thought it was good, but Chef Latish obviously has done a lot of work to improve the scope of the menu and the flavors. As a vegetarian, I also appreciate their very large selection of options. My buddy and I ordered the aloo mattar (very good) and the malai kofta (truly outstanding!) and we can't wait to go back! “I came with my 19 year old to check out a shop next door. I didn’t realize this place was even here and we just came in to look over the menu for a possible future visit. The smell was incredible and the longer we looked at the menu, the more we grew hungry. Paired with the prices, we got hooked in and sat down for a meal. I ordered the shahi paneer and it was a delicious mix of savory and sweet with perfectly cooked paneer. It was wonderful over rice with a little naan. The mango lassi was a great touch.“

“The food was delicious and the owner is very kind and attentive. Wonderful all around and inexpensive! We got the coconut curry chicken and shrimp, curry lamb, curry goat, and garlic naan, all I would highly recommend. The bathrooms are spacious with a changing table and outside the bathroom in the basement in a box is a prayer rug, both of which are inclusive and caring touches for a small family restaurant. “I traveled 30 miles for a special Parotta feast and they didn't disappoint me and made me to feel it is a worth it. Authentic style Parotta and Salna and other dishes. I like the ambiance very much. I strongly recommend it. The price is very reasonable.“

I got the chicken biriyani (chicken was tender and well cooked and spiced), yellow Dahl, butter chicken and spicy chicken curry. Butter chicken and biryani were my favorites, but spicy chicken curry was not far behind.

“Rashmi and her team did a fabulous job of catering our wedding in May 2023 in Minneapolis, MN. We cannot say enough good things about Gorkha Palace! We were regular customers of Gorkha Palace even before we wanted to have them as our caterer for our wedding reception. Their prices may be a tiny bit higher, but it is worth it - all the ingredients they use are organic and local, which we appreciated. Rashmi, the co-owner, was very flexible in accommodating our many special requests, including guests’ dietary restrictions and our last-minute venue change. The catering team was punctual, had excellent communication, attended to our guests’ needs, and left the venue in a clean condition. For our wedding, we did a buffet-style meal consisting of 3 entrees, rice, and naan, plus mango lassis and samosas for cocktail hour. It was the first time for many of our guests trying Indian food, so we were a bit nervous, but those nerves were put to ease when we saw our guests go back for seconds (and thirds), and compliment the food to us all night long. The lamb vindaloo was a hit, and got wiped out in no time! Being of Indian descent, we can certifiably say this food was top-notch in its balance of spices! Indian food was a significant part of our Indian-American fusion wedding and we couldn’t have done it without Gorkha Palace! Overall we would highly recommend Gorkha Palace for their catering services, delicious food, and dine-in restaurant as well :)“

“I had the privilege of trying Channa Kitchen and meeting Anisa at the Linden Hills Farmers Market. This was my first time trying Trinidadian food, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. First, I tried the eggball ("mashed potatoes seasoned with aromatics and herbs, wrapped around hard boiled egg and fried in seasoned bread crumbs"). Then, Anisa gifted a plate of the doubles ("Turmeric-infused fried bread containing curry chickpeas and served with tropical chutneys") to try. All of it was excellent and I would definitely get all of it again. I highly recommend. Anisa was the SWEETEST and she treated us like dear friends from the moment we approached her stand. Her energy is radiant and her passion for sharing exceptional food and creating a delightful experience is unforgettable. I look forward to seeing her again and trying more of her offerings at the next farmers market, and I hope to make it to her location in south Minneapolis to pick up food before the next market because I cannot wait to try more.
