“Stopped in at the Woodshed for dinner and the Friday night meat raffle. Had the walleye fingers basket with waffle fries and coleslaw. Walleye was excellent, waffle fries were the best I have ever had, and coleslaw was great as well. Would definitely go back.“
“It was loud inside so we sat outside and enjoyed the live music, which was a nice feature. Server recommended a very good cocktail for my wife and I found one of my favorites on tap. Food was pretty quick coming out of the kitchen. My wife's sandwich was good, the ribs were okay.Prices were average for this market.“
“The cheese curds here are LEGIT. Better than the State Fair. I had the Reuben, since I’m on a quest to see which restaurant has the best one. The Reuben here is tied for first with Stanley’s of NE Minneapolis famous Reuben! Amazing. Also, great wait staff. My two kids also loved the macaroni baskets.“
“When you live in a small town, it's the little things that matter like the people, atmosphere, service and of course the food. This place has all of that and more. The fried chicken is AMAZING, people come from all over just to get a taste. They do only (usually) have 1 cook, 1 waitress and 1 bartender, so sometimes you need to be patient, but these girls can handle it and they will get to you! The schedule does change with the season (most places around here do), so if you aren't familiar with their hours of operation, just call first. It is strictly cash at the register, but yes, they do have an ATM on the bar side. It is a bit of a "ma & pa" kinda place, but that's a good thing in my opinion. I'm originally from Wisconsin, moved here a few years ago and this place reminds me of home; you walk in and everyone knows your name, says hi and waves! It's great! Come check it out!“
“This is the place that you have to drive off the beaten path to find. Located between Perham and Ottertail, the name says new fashioned bar and grill but it is housed in a shed-like structure and is welcoming to all ages. We had the chicken sandwiches and burgers and all 4 were great. Our waitress was very considerate and checked on our table often. Gaming plus a couple games for the youngsters and also simple board games available to play during your dining experience. Full bar too. The only thing that would make this the best is more pickle item options....it is called the Salty Pickle so thought there would be some fun appetizers and maybe some different choices on pickles for on the burgers. The only entree on our table that came with pickles was the chicken melt. “Betty’s was a nice and clean little relaxing place to have a quick breakfast. Service was polite and very prompt. I was in and out of here in 30 minutes.I ordered the country skillet with eggs over medium and that is exactly how they were cooked.Now, I am from the south was a bit shocked about the gravy not being a thick and rich and pepppery southern sausage and milk gravy but it was still very good. I live over a thousand miles away so of course my preferences will be a little different. I’m only mentioning it because I hope they try a southern sausage gravy with the dish just to see if they like it. It would take it over the top. Overall I had a great breakfast here and highly recommend it! Also great presentation with the plate. I noticed the menu pictures in the reviews were out of date, so here’s the most current.“
