“Stopped in for a Tuesday dinner after a long drive. Sat at the bar and Dave took great care of us! Started with drinks. My first was a single bourbon that's unique to MN (see pics). Second was a dirty Hendricks Martin, after watching a few cocktails being put together. Tuesday is wing night. So we went with wings. They're $4.50 per half-dozen of each flavor. They're on the smaller side but that's not a surprise given the price. I had Buffalo and General Tso. While I've never had a General Tso chicken wing, I would certainly order them again. Buffalo was Buffalo but the General was unique and delicious! Sat at the bar and Dave took great care of us. He's also quite the mixologist so don't be shy when ordering if he's behind the bar.“

“Pizza was incredible; a recipe you'd expect from a bigger city or town... Our bartender Megan was lively, enjoyable to converse with and mutually entertaining... I liked the porch and openness of the dining room as well... Would like to see it in full swing in the summer... I met the owner; her husband was on vacation but she was reasonably cautious of strangers yet friendly and inviting... I hope they enjoy many memorable and profitable years ahead of them“
“This is the place that you have to drive off the beaten path to find. Located between Perham and Ottertail, the name says new fashioned bar and grill but it is housed in a shed-like structure and is welcoming to all ages. We had the chicken sandwiches and burgers and all 4 were great. Our waitress was very considerate and checked on our table often. Gaming plus a couple games for the youngsters and also simple board games available to play during your dining experience. Full bar too. The only thing that would make this the best is more pickle item options....it is called the Salty Pickle so thought there would be some fun appetizers and maybe some different choices on pickles for on the burgers. The only entree on our table that came with pickles was the chicken melt. Parking lot is plenty big but fills fast if specials.Kid-friendliness: It's kid friendly atmosphere, I mean it is a bar also but there's games to play on bowling side too.“

“When you live in a small town, it's the little things that matter like the people, atmosphere, service and of course the food. This place has all of that and more. The fried chicken is AMAZING, people come from all over just to get a taste. They do only (usually) have 1 cook, 1 waitress and 1 bartender, so sometimes you need to be patient, but these girls can handle it and they will get to you! The schedule does change with the season (most places around here do), so if you aren't familiar with their hours of operation, just call first. It is strictly cash at the register, but yes, they do have an ATM on the bar side. It is a bit of a "ma & pa" kinda place, but that's a good thing in my opinion. I'm originally from Wisconsin, moved here a few years ago and this place reminds me of home; you walk in and everyone knows your name, says hi and waves! It's great! Come check it out!“

“The food was excellent. The menu was extensive enough to find something you might like or have difficulty deciding what you would like. Their was a good selection of pies, the banana cream pie was excellent. My table mate seemed to like the giant cookies. The waitress was actually rather entertaining and very attentive. I would have no problem going back or recommending to any wanting. I am thinking this would be what I call my go to restaurant when in the area.“
