“Stopped for lunch on a whim. My wife had the Cranberry Turkey Bacon sandwich that she thought was delicious with lots of real sliced turkey, not deli meat. I had the Bluegill Plate with 4 pieces of lightly battered sunfish, coleslaw and Tartar sauce. I chose a dinner salad instead of fries. Everything was good and satisfying! The server that took our order was totally disengaged and got my wife's order wrong. Our second server that brought our food and served us the remaining time we ate, was awesome and friendly. Not much atmosphere but the meals were a good value for the quality.“
“Stopped in for breakfast today for the first time today, and it did not disappoint! The 1/2 hash brown double stack with cranberry wild rice toast (a must have!) was simply delicious. My husband had eggs with ham, eggs, hash browns, and cranberry wild rice.“

“I was here on an off-season Sunday at lunchtime. The staff were very thoughtful and came out to the table to check up on us a few times to make sure that everything was good and if we needed anything. The personal attention was very appreciated as they have a fast-casual "order at the counter" model. The cafe was clean and the food was delicious! The drip coffee was above average and they do not serve espresso drinks. I'd definitely come back.“
“Had dinner here after the antique mall last night. It was amazing! Probably one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. The shoestring fries were great as well. Skipped getting a drink because of my long drive back home but the bar looked to have a great selection available and the ambiance of the place was so fun. Lisa my waitress was the best and very attentive to the customers. Chef's kiss to the grill master! I wish I would have snapped a pic but I guess you'll just have to stop in and see for your self instead.“
“Biking 12 miles from Lanesboro to Fountain, we stopped at the Village Square. Got there 10 minutes before it opened and one person was already waiting to get pie to go. When the doors opened at 11:00 there were 7 more locals waiting. The warm and comfortable dining area had four tables occupied. All of whom got the daily lunch special which looked delicious. We were there for coffee and pie. There was a young gal running the front of house and she was fantastic serving tables and taking to go orders. The coffee was delicious and the strawberry rhubarb pie was amazing! By the way, all the wood dining chairs had comfy seat cushions which was appreciated by this bicyclist. Highly recommend this gem in Fountain.“
“Amazing food, though the dessert was not nearly as good as the main courses (we had chocolate Bundt cake and it was dry and grainy). We ordered the steak rare and it was cooked medium rare, so that could be improved in the future. It was still delicious though!! Absolutely LOVED the shrimp scampi pasta!!Laid back atmosphere but fine dining quality food with decent portion sizes. Very good service; you order at the counter and they deliver food to you and bus the table occasionally. Good enough for us! Decent drink options also!“
“What a great breakfast wrap! This place is adorable. It has a wonderful, small town feel. The breakfast wrap was a huge, pressed wrap with all sorts of delicious choices for tortilla, meat, cheese, sauces, and veggies. Hot, satisfying, and quick. We also tried the cherry cheesecake and it was awesome. We will definitely be back!“
