“We just ate here Sunday, November 5th, 2023. We stopped in on our way back from Split Rock to the Twin Cities. Every year we have a dilemma of where to eat and just happened to take the Willow River exit. We found this little gem of a restaurant in the back of the gas station out front. We had the patty melt with coffee. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The price was incredible! It was under $14 for 2 patty melts and 2 coffees. We will definitely stop here next year!”

“Good home cooking with reasonable pricing and servings sizes. The 3 egg Denver omelette was cooked to perfection and filled with goodness. The hash browns where golden brown with a good amount of crisp. There French toast was also mouth watering. I would recommend Peggy Sue’s Cafe to everyone! My family comes here often when in the area.”

“We have dined at Denham Run three times this year. My husband loves the elk burger with fried onions saying, "it is hands down the best burger Ive ever had." Actuelly, he accused me of understating how delicious it is. We have brought family and friends out and all have enjoyed consistantly delicious food. It's a gem hiding in plain sight. “The staff was great. The food could have been better, but was not bad overall. This is probably the most “downer” review I will ever give as I don’t usually leave reviews if they are not 5 stars, but I should mention my pizza was great so that was neat. My companion did not appreciate his sandwich in the least. That being said, the place is great, and the staff is super friendly, so kudos on that!”

“Visit Docs on occasion, but it has been a while since my last visit.Stopped in Nov. 27th 2023, 4pm.I ordered the "double dip" sandwich with french fries. Our waitress, Jessica was a super good waitress, which is fairly rare these days. The double dip sandwich, was very tasty, with a superbly fresh sourdough bun.The atmosphere was above satisfactory. Sometimes sports bars have a rather loud and annoying atmosphere, but it has never been that way whenever I visited it.Will eat there again, of course.”

“The restaurant is out in the "sticks". Not fancy. The menu is simple - mainly burgers and other sandwiches. For appetizers we shared fried cheese curds and roasted Brussels sprouts. Both were delicious. One of the great things about the place is that they have a play area for kids. Our two year old grandson spent a lot of time there. They are open only on Thursdays through Sundays. Friendly service, too.”
