“5 stars is not nearly enough stars for this place. I have celiac disease (severe wheat/gluten allergy) and when I saw gluten free cheese curds and gluten free fried pickles on the menu, I about cried. I haven’t had cheese curds or fried pickles at a sports bar since I was diagnosed 11 years ago. Their food is absolutely incredible- something you normally wouldn’t expect from a place like this. I’m so grateful to whoever created the menu!

“I had their Salmon dinner for the first time. I'm not a huge lover of salmon but this was delicious! I had broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes with it. They were also good, but I could not taste the garlic in the potatoes which was a bit disappointing. Still deserved a good rating, however.“

“I happened to find this place when my son had to have emergency surgery...first off, very friendly staff and regulars, could see the stress on my face and were so kind! But the best part, hands down, which is why I'm leaving this review 3 years later is bc Bob's steak sandwich (should be Bob's FAMOUS steak sandwich) was THE F’N BEST sandwich my son and I have ever had - to date! If fact, 3 years later and my son is still talking about Bob's steak sandwich being the best food he's ever eaten! So much so that for his birthday in a few weeks, he doesn't want a party or gifts, just to take a trip to the cities for his favorite dinner!“

“I love this bar, I come in and spend money all the time. I buy drinks for people and always tip the bartenders and servers. Today I came in looking to conserve money because I’m getting hit with school loans. I ask the bartenders if I could just tip a dollar and hang out and he says no. I ask my buddy Dave if he can cover a soda but he’s tapped. So I oblige and go to my wallet and pull out a 5 to pay for a half order of fries. The bartender denies me service and accuses me of getting the money from bar partrons. This is MY money that I earned and here I am willing to spend it in order to follow their rules of no hanging out without spending money.

This man damn near lost me as a customer. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars at this establishment over the last few months.

I still think this is a great bar and the other staff are fantastic, the food is great and people are generally friendly( as friendly as Minnesota can be).

This bartender will never receive a tip From me again. Pissed off that I’ve tipped him in the past.
I just played pull tabs since he literally denied me service.

I had a mixed shrimp and octopus cocktail and it is the best I have eaten here in Minnesota. Really all their meals are delicious, the atmosphere, the service, everything was excellent!! Thank you“

“A classic Saint Paul neighborhood bar, with simple grub yet so affordable, a mix of Asian and American. All served as takeaway but you can eat it there if you want and the portions are gigantic. There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“

“For an Applebee's chain restaurant, this one is a good location. The server was a bit slow (he was also the bartender and there was only the one other server when we came in), but he was friendly and kind and accommodating. What surprised me was the food. Last time I was in an Applebee's it was all a bit... Sterile tasting. This was actually tasty. The fiesta lime chicken was tender, not overcooked as I was expecting. The rice was flavorful and (thankfully) did not contain corn. The chicken parm fettuccine was fresh and flavorful. The drinks were my favorite. I had a watermelon lime rush, which is one of my favorite combinations of flavors, and it was so refreshing and lively and went perfect with the food.“

“My little brother says this Applebee's in specific has his favorite chicken wings ever lol. However my personal fave is Applebee's classic cheeseburgers & French fries! However I was a bit let down with my order from here, I ordered my favorite meal, obviously. & not only was the burger not cooked the way I asked for it to be (medium well) but it was under cooked which is never a good thing. I took one bite & unfortunately spit it out due to how pink it was still.. the fries were UNSEASONED (the seasoning on the fries is literally why i love them so much.) and were cold and slightly soggy...? I've eaten here over a year before this experience and back then I had a wonderful time, but this time at least as far as the actual food went was not a good time at all. But i will say the host that bagged and rang up my order was very kind. I enjoyed speaking with her. the only other thing Id like to say is there really should to be more standing room for customers when waiting for a table, paying for their meals, etc. The area they currently have I personally don't think is even big enough for 2 full booths. For instance i am 5ft tall and i was attempting to stand there with 3 other men, all whom were about average height/ maybe slightly shorter and to be completely honest it was so cramped that we were all touching shoulders... just made it very uncomfortable overall while waiting for my food/waiting to pay. Overall though this specific Applebee's franchise is alright. I just know of a few other locations that I personally prefer.“

“There's a handful of employees I'd like to give a shout out from this applebees, they're better than any other applebees I've ever been too. They are miguel, gabby, dakota, blake, amber and dakotas little brother. They're all very personable and makes sure that if I need anything right away they got it 👍🏻 I figure that the rest of the staff there are like that too but I just have had really good experiences with the ones I mentioned, as I'm somewhat of a regular at that place now. Keep up the good work!“

“Honestly no one should complain about this establishment. There has been an attempt at gentrification and removal of Billy's on grand for an event that had nothing to do with the owners. The need to rebrand to Gather was due to pure hated for the new branding and traction this establishment was receiving.

The music was amazing when I went. Food made with love and I am sadden to see the decline in this business when this place is a true gem.“
