“Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl(Tofu, red bell peppers, straw mushrooms, potatoes, romaine lettuce, seasoned rice and zing sauce)I was not a fan of coconut curry flavors until visiting Vellee a few days ago. I called an audible and ordered the Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl. Before we walked in the door, I just knew I was going to order the Korean BBQ bowl. I am delighted I was wrong. The chef perfectly dialed the spice level (#2) to my hopefulness, partnering it well with the zing sauce. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a zing sauce, but it was persuasive enough to make me change my mind about curries. The creamy coconut sauce covered the fresh ingredients with comforting casualness. The sauce to rice ratio was good – as was the sweet to heat ratio. My favorite surprise ingredient was the potato! It felt like it belonged all along. I left Vellee very satisfied, wanting nothing more or less. The vibe was as energetic as the boom box display on the far wall. I intend to go back again in attempt to get the Korean BBQ bowl.“
“Fantastic service, friendly staff, very good prices. All around an amazing to place to stop by when your in the area!Vegetarian options: They had all sorts of various vegan options like tofu and vegan spring rolls. Also had the option to not have any meat for many dishesParking: A large parking lot“
“I have been going to Abang Yoli since they opened up their Nicollet location. Their food and service has always been delightful and on point.Although Abang Yoli is known for its Korean Fried Chicken, many of their other dishes have been a culinary delight. Most recently, I had the pleasure of eating their sweet potato dish. This dish blew my mind. The sweet potato was creamy, crunchy, and UMAMI all at once. Every bite had so much flavor! It caught me off guard for sure. I'd highly recommend everyone to try this vegetarian (maybe vegan?) option.A few other dishes are my regular favorites. Their bao is by far this location’s flavorful bargain. I normally get one fried chicken bao, and a tofu bao. Each are served on the fluffiest buns and are paired with their own particular sauces. For $5.50 a bao, it’s a steal. Especially if you don’t want a regular sized piece of fried chicken (they’re huge) but have a craving of that satisfying crunch. There are so many other dishes that I’d want to recommend but you should really come and give this place a taste. Their brunch is really good too!Just as an fyi, their location is small. So if you’re thinking of dining in with a party of 10, don’t. Just order out. It’ll still be hot, fresh, and very crunchy.A few other dishes you should try:char siu plate (main)chicken sandwich (mainbreakfast bang bowl (brunch only)Asian fries (side)pickles (side).“
“Great food as you can see once she kick the shoes off u know it's good..First time I went to a restaurant where I didn't need to add any sauce which is very good btw but the meat had so much flavor I kept forgetting to use it definitely would recommend for a nice date night or you can just cook up some nice food and enjoy the atmosphere, almost forgot great drinks as well...“
“Wok in the Park doesn’t need any more attention because it is busy!! But that’s because the food is so good. Everything tastes fresh and they have a good variety on the menu. The only thing I’ve gotten that I haven’t enjoyed is the egg rolls. They are huge and stuffed full which is just not my personal preference. If you go here, just plan ahead because people love Wok and you’ll need to wait!“
“absolute banger of a restaurant. if you're craving hearty, flavorful east asian cuisine and a homey down to earth atmosphere, this is your place.i grew up going to hole in the wall Chinese restaurants and this hit the spot. big portions, delicious, good vibes.“
“World Street Kitchen is a decent fusion restaurant with some unique(ish) menu items you won’t find anywhere. Never been impressed by one of their offerings and most things you can find better elsewhere but I have also never had a bad meal. Just fine! Atmosphere in the restaurant is good and seems somewhat clean. Service is a little on the slow side.“
“Here's my review. I'll break it into chunks where certain topics might matter to you (:Parking:- plenty of street parking, freeDining:- waiter was very nice and very attentive- was able to sit at a table quickly- food came out pretty fast- bathroom and inside the restaurant was clean- plenty of seating inside tooFood:- the spring rolls were sooooo delicious! (: the peanut dipping sauce was sweet but very flavorful. I think this is probably one of my favorites now for fresh spring rolls. The shrimp chicken combo was also very nice and flavorful.- chicken pad see ew: it's interesting to have bell peppers and squash in it, but I like having more veggies in my dishes (makes me feel a bit more healthier XD). The chicken isn't like rubbery or hard but shreds nicely when you bite into it. There's a light tint of a flavor like sesame oil. The dish wasn't super oily.Overall, I had a very pleasant dine in experience after my two hikes. This is also just a very cute town area to explore. I would recommend here as a new place to check out and a town to explore ?“
“Been here so many times & I never get enough ?? sooo good!! My favorite wings I’ve ever had & the creamy Tom yum ramen is so rich, creamy, delicious & some of the best ramen I’ve had! Always come here on any cold day to eat me some ramen <3 the staff is super knowledgeable & every single server / bartender I’ve had there knows everything basically inside out which is another reason why I quickly became a regular ?“
“This is by far the best Thai that we have in the neighborhood! I usually get pad Thai and red curry anytime I try a new place, and I’ve been disappointed with the two other places nearby—but not here! I asked for pad Thai Flamin hot with tofu and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The tofu was perfectly cubed and fried without being greasy, and the sauce a rich brown color with notes of peanut, tamarind, and lime (slightly sweet and tangy), and the spice was perfectly hot without being overpowering. Most other places give me mild/medium when I ask for Thai hot, and this place actually listened. The red curry was also memorable with bright flavors from the Thai basil and veggies. Poured over rice, it’s a heavenly combo perfect for a cold night. I am so grateful to have a new go-to Thai spot! I hope they stick around for a long time.“
“I want to give this cute spot five stars! The Cove is a no frills lunch spot with a lot of customizable options (brown rice, pick all your favorite toppings, sauces and spice level). I think the quality is solid and the portion sizes are generous! The missing star is to account for the inconsistency. Sometimes a level 2 spice level is perfect and sometimes it's wayyyy to much. Sometimes they add lots of fish, sometimes just a few pieces. I think it just depends on who is working that day. I think they could improve on staff training to improve consistency. Despite this, I find myself coming back to this delicious spot for a quick and filling lunch! It's definitely worth going and trying out! I also think the fusion theme is awesome - they have sushiritos, banh mi, rice bowls, steam buns, sambusas, burgers, etc! It's a pretty impressive variety.“
“This Cantonese restaurant is not to be missed. We stumbled upon it when over by the U of M and couldn’t have been more impressed with the delicious food. We’ve been here several times now and our must-order is the salt and pepper beef short ribs hot pot,(picture included). The beef is so tender and perfectly seasoned, coming with onions, peppers, and a side of rice of course. Other dishes have been very enjoyable too. The staff is kind, quick to attend to you when you arrive, and clearly the cooks are experts in their field. What’s nice about here too is that it has a good dining atmosphere with a lot of eat-in patrons, not just operating primarily as a takeout joint like many Asian restaurants do. Highly recommend!“
“never fails with this location! Food is always fire, but tonight I came fore drinks and some homeless person came in and took my drink. Although it seemed pretty funny to me and wasn't too pressed about it, the staffed noticed and took care of me. Service is on point ?“
“Two of my favorite things to pair with beer are Korean food and American fast food. A new acquaintance and I ordered the Kimchi Slaw from Abang Yoli. It started with hints of the classic Southern picnic slaw and then finished with buckets of Korean flavor and enough heat to punch you in the face. In the best way possible. The Asian fries were perfectly cooked – not overly oily or salty, but just enough to know I was being naughty. I appreciated how the shredded leeks and cilantro smartly balanced the deep-fried wickedness. Abang Yoli stood out from the other vendors at “The Market At Malcolm Yards” with their Asian flavors infused into fast food. The Market itself was several tiers above a typical food hall with its festive casual atmosphere complete with beer taps and full-service alcohol vendors, making the experience memorable.“
“This is our new favorite sushi restaurant! We have now been here a few times and we are never disappointed! It is never overly busy. The service is excellent. The food is phenomenal! This last time we got the sushi for two meal it is was well worth the money! We got a beautiful tray of sushi and two miso soups and salads. Everything was delicious!“
“We had the vegetarian option with a side of kale salad , chutney and a couple of other fabulous items , it was absolutely delightful, we appreciated the wonderful spices and flavors. This food is obviously made with love and made our Saturday even more enjoyableTo add to our happy experience she serves super nice portions that allow for some more enjoyment the next day. We add some fish and put the chutney on top of it … amazing!!!!We are looking forward for some more - we are clients for life“
“Our first time here... The food was great! All but 2 tables in the main section were full. Spicy selection from 0 to 5... we got a few 3's and a 2.Chicken Green Curry at 2 was great.Beef Red Curry ordered a 3 but seemed sweet and lighter in spice than the green Curry. The seafood salad 3 was goodAnd the chicken fried rice at 0 was tasty... with no spice at all.Egg rolls and Thai sausageThe price for 4 adults was $100 without tipParking: As it was put first time here we are not up on the parking... for us it was difficult.“
“Food is good! I really liked the heat (I got the spiciest you can get) with the chicken currito, if there was a possibility to get it hotter... I probably would. Tastes similar to the curry we would make back at home but in a burrito. The burrito is huge.I think I'd like to try the banh mi to see how good those are next time.My biggest knock on it is that the price is a little higher for lunch BUT I thought it was worth it.“
“This place was crazy-packed on a Thursday in March - not even a seat at the bar. Long line with standing-room only. We finally snatched 2 bar seats after about 20-30 minutes. It was worth the wait! Sushi rolls were gigantic! We ordered ours with soy wraps instead of seaweed. The one with mango was like a dessert! Each took a big container home! Will be back! Only comment is I wish they would put a couple of chairs near the coat closet for elderly or handicapped with a sign for those individuals only. ??“
“When I was craving sushi the other night and didn't feel like going out in the cold, this new takeout & delivery only restaurant popped up so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad that I did! The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I got 2 spicy hamachi rolls, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a miso soup. The soup was good but nothing to rave over, and rolls exceeded my expectations. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. I even packed some for lunch the next day (still tasted great as leftovers) and the rice stayed soft too! Would definitely recommend for an at-home sushi night.“
“This place has always served excellent food and has outstanding service. Everyone is friendly with smiles and is happy to be here. We enjoy food from here often and we love it! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options: lots of vegetarian options available, I always encourage to load up on veggies ?“
“This place has some very delicious asian food. They also have some good vegetarian and vegan options. The only problem is the menu! they do have any menu, they have some items written on the back wall, but it does not have all their items. The food is very delicious and I must say that they make the BEST Lo Mein in town. The price is very reasonable and its your wallet friendly.“
“Everything is so good and fresh at this place. You can tell everything is made fresh. The manager Donovan really made us feel at home; funny guy! He's very knowledgeable about the product and a very positive attitude. The place is very clean and tidy.“
“Great location for a sushi restaurant. The atmosphere wasn’t bad and the food was pretty good. The only problem was waiting for our food to come out. The server only handed our table of 5 with one happy hour menu so it took us a while to decide what we wanted on that and the regular menu. But the over all experience wasn’t bad.“
