“This place has very quickly become one of my favorites in the Twin Cities area. There’s truly something for everybody on the menu. You will not be disappointed! Most recently, I planned a large dinner party of about 15 people, and the staff was nothing short of amazing. The food and drinks are always delicious, so don’t walk, RUN to try the Maracuya Sour, the Inka Roll, and the Udon Saltado. And please say hi to Enrique and show your support! He always greets his customers with a smile and has treated us like family.“
“Small space, when we went in we were lucky enough to find a table and didn't have to stand and wait.Service was fast but felt a little rushed. My sushi was delicious, however, my husband didn't like his hibachi combo too much. The soft-shell crab was good but I went without the katsu sauceThis location only has paid street parking and a parking garage that is free on weekends. Other than that I would recommend it, because sushi is their speciality and you can taste it in the quality.“
“I was in Minneapolis for a show and wanted sushi. So glad I found this place!! The restaurant is beautiful inside and has a very nice outdoor patio with lots of umbrellas for shade. The food was fantastic!! I had sushi and got a tuna poke bowl to go. I’ll definitely be back for the Tibetan Momo!! If you haven’t been to Momo Sushi you need to check it out!!“
“I originally got an order through "Too Good To Go" and while waiting, looking at all the fresh ingredients I had to order more. Holy heck this food is so good! I was pleasantly surprised because I am a very picky bitch when it comes to sushi etc. This surpassed my expectations. I wish this place was closer. I could seriously eat here a couple times a week. It's THAT good.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I made a reservation, and my party of 2 was seated immediately and had a great waitstaff. We had sake, o-toro Bluefin sashimi, the Silly Billy roll (pictured and favorite), and a supreme combo. Everything was delicious and inspired me to return again to try more of their amazing creations!“
“This place might throw you off if you've never been here before. It is blended in or might I even add overshadowed by office space. The first time I came here, I actually drove off because I saw a big tall office building. Didn't let that fool you though as they have an exterior entrance right into the restaurant. It's sushi so expect a higher price tag, but honestly not bad.I got a spicy tuna bowl with a dynamite roll. I felt that there were way too much mayo in the bowl which almost felt like I was just eating a spoon full of mayo at times. The roll had a hint of Taco as the sauce had a hint of Mexican flavored jalapeno spice. The place was filled with workers assumedly from the same building.I would recommend it.“
“My friends and I stumbled into this restaurant when Up Down was too packed to enjoy. It happened to be my birthday weekend so I was open to trying something new. I absolutely loved our waiter. He wasn't pushy, had a sake bomb with us, was super nice and funny, and introduced me to the Peach Cosmopolitan. YUMMY! The food was delicious and the dessert was exceptional! Will definitely be back for more! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because when we first walked in, I told them how many people (3), and no one said anything to me. No, "it'll be a few minutes but please have a seat" or even mentioning the fact that there were people waiting ahead of us. We stood awkwardly in front of them but eventually moved to the side when we realized we wouldn't be seated right away. We almost walked out after waiting 10 minutes but were called to be seated as we were about to Google another spot.“
“I was fortunate enough to experience the Tuesday night 10 course kaiseki seasonal tasting menu. Each course was beautifully presented and presented authentic Japanese tastes and textures that reflected the spring season. The staff were attentive and accommodating. For example, noticing that my wife was left handed her table setting was set up to reflect that. That has happened to her only one other time. A small thing for sure, but reflective of the care and attention to detail that was put into everything. Kado No Mise provides an elegant dining experience from the dinnerware to interior design. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.“
“I want to preface this by saying it was delicious, the service was incredible, and the atmosphere on a Friday night is lively and fun.I just can't give it 5 stars in confidence because the lychee cocktail made me incredibly, acutely ill. I was keeling over in stomach pain and retching bile within an hour of drinking it.This sucks because it was absolutely delectable and I would drink it again, lol.“
“I love the onigiri here. There are a lot of options so choosing can be overwhelming, but the staff is very willing to offer suggestions and talk through flavors. I also love the fried tofu. My boyfriend's preferred dish is the tori don. The agedashi tofu is also good (deep fried silken tofu in dashi).I've eaten in once and gotten takeout several times. One time we were given an incorrect dish in our takeout order and had to return to get the right food. They were quick to fix the issue and polite and easy to deal with. The onigiri combo meal is a great deal!Parking: Lots of free street parking in the area.“
“This is a great spot to grab lunch during the work week. I ordered the sushi bowl with shrimp tempura and it was delicious. The servings are quite large so you can easily make two lunches out of it. It can get busy during the lunch hour so just be aware of that.“
“I needed a treat, and did I ever get one in my bag of takeout tonight from Midori’s Floating World Cafe (in their temporary Seward Cafe location). The dumplings, entrees, and dessert were exquisitely prepared, with flavorful sauces and broths. Glad I splurged on the Daifuku: it was a little work of edible art. This food woke all of my senses for spring. I’ll be back.“
“It is hard to put into words the amazing experience that we had here at Kaiseki Furukawa in Minneapolis. This was the single best meal we have ever had in our lives. It was an honor to dine with Shigeyuki Furukawa and his team. Our minds were blown by the quality of ingredients and the thought and care that went into the design of each item on the 10+ course menu. We also had a sake pairing that added another element throughout. This restaurant is truly a world class gem and we are lucky to have it here here in Twin Cities.“
“Highly recommend, the fish was so fresh it almost tasted sweet! I got the eel nigiri and spicy shrimp roll, my boyfriend got the sunshine combo and another eel nigiri. We both left stuffed! The woman behind the counter was working incredibly hard. My sushi cravings —> satisfied. I will be back!Kid-friendliness: There was live music and children dancing.“
“Excellent food and friendly and helpful service.Vegetarian options: Some options and they ask you to tell them if you are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Very amenable to restrictions you may have.Kid-friendliness: Family business you will see their small children there too.Wheelchair accessibility: Level to sidewalk.“
“This is in a mini strip with plenty of parking space. Stopped in for a quick lunch date with a friend and kids around noonish, maybe 1pm. I'll just say, we did absolutely no research before coming. Their lunch hour is 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Upon arrival we were informed the last time to order is 2:15. Service was great, making sure we get in as much as we could for AYCE. Ordered a little bit of everything. The kids really enjoyed the hibachi dishes that includes fried rice or noodles and choice of protein. The yum yum sauce that comes with was light with hint of yogurt (might be wrong in this ingredient since I didn't asked). If you love Takoyaki, these are probably one of the best ones I've had. I also really enjoy the Cha Soba, it's a chilled green tea noodle with sauce and green onions. First timer embarrassing story* about the Cha Soba. It came out in a soba bamboo tray and having no knowledge of this dish - I shamelessly poured the sauce over the soba, thinking there was a bottom . Anywho, love the soba and our waiter was extremely kind to help clean the mess I created. So, dip the soba in the sauce, don't pour, ok? Also had the crunch roll, fire island roll and spicy girl roll. My favorite was the spicy girl roll, it's a spicy tuna and yellowtail mixed. Literally, it melts with every bite. I forgot to take photos but will definitely get some in when I crave sushi again. Currently my favorite ACYE sushi.“
“Restaurant was empty when we got there and packed within 30 minutes - all the tables were reserved. With it being such a small spot I definitely recommend making a reservation when possible. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, she was detailed and helpful in answering our questions and recommending drinks. We got a mix of sushi, thai, and ramen, all of which were equally delicious! You could really tell the food was freshly made and of great quality. I recommend trying the thai iced coffee as well if you are up for a cold, sweet, umami drink. A word of the wise for those of us a little less accustomed to asian spice (if you know what i mean...) - please don't lie to yourself about how much heat you can handle, the spicy ramen is SPICY. The “level 3” heat we ordered was a lot. Do yourself the favor and get a 1 if possible and ask for some of the hot sauce on the side so you can add it in to your liking. My friend was absolutely humbled. He was all but in tears. I have never seen his face so red. I think our waitress got a real kick out of this as well (she did try her best to warn us about The Spicy, so it was all in good fun) ? Overall, a great little spot. We'll be returning for sure!!“
“I’ve written about this spot before. I can’t say enough great things about the experience from when you step foot into the establishment to leaving well content and satisfied!the quality of the seafood is as good as it’s going to get in MN. A smaller variety on the menu but the quality of each item makes up for it.The service is quick, knowledgeable and very friendly. This is yet another place where you will see regulars belly at the bar and are eager to chat with anyone else who is friendly.I love this place and I really hope Asan (the master chef) never retires!!!Wheelchair accessibility: My mom is in a wheelchair and there is a ton of space for her to move around and multiple choices for her to sit.“
“When I was craving sushi the other night and didn't feel like going out in the cold, this new takeout & delivery only restaurant popped up so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad that I did! The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I got 2 spicy hamachi rolls, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a miso soup. The soup was good but nothing to rave over, and rolls exceeded my expectations. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. I even packed some for lunch the next day (still tasted great as leftovers) and the rice stayed soft too! Would definitely recommend for an at-home sushi night.“
“Me and my friends got to experience the korean BBQ for the first time and it was amazing!!!! The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, they checked in with us often and ensured we had everything we needed multiple times!!!! I highly recommend visiting!!!!“
“This place was crazy-packed on a Thursday in March - not even a seat at the bar. Long line with standing-room only. We finally snatched 2 bar seats after about 20-30 minutes. It was worth the wait! Sushi rolls were gigantic! We ordered ours with soy wraps instead of seaweed. The one with mango was like a dessert! Each took a big container home! Will be back! Only comment is I wish they would put a couple of chairs near the coat closet for elderly or handicapped with a sign for those individuals only. ??“
“I came here since I was a child. So, the service is alright, they forget our drink, but we reminded them politely. The Atmosphere is fine. The food is OK, it's just that some of the food looks a bit off, but it's edible and delicious at least for me. 2 people for nearly 45 dollars isn't that bad. They have fruits, fried food, vegetables, sea food, and desserts. I'm giving this a 5 star since the food is delicious and there was no rude employees.“
“BEST Japanese food I've had in Minnesota hands down! The staff was very friendly, made sure we had everything we needed at all times. I would recommend the Kara-age , and the ramen. If you like authentic Japanese food, then this is your place!!! Definitely deserves more praise ???“
“Went here during lunch with coworkers. All you can eat is only $18 at lunch during weekdays. The menu is shortened compared to the dinner menu--mostly fewer specialty roll options. I was pregnant at the time, but still had 3 different rolls that did not contain any raw fish + spring rolls. Everything I tried was delicious and couldn't beat the price. Would be interested in returning after pregnancy for dinner to try my more usual options. It is important to know that they close between lunch and dinner, so there's a "last call" for ordering around 2:10 or so.Vegetarian options: One of my rolls was avocado peanut, I think they had 2 others without meat as well.“
“Great location for a sushi restaurant. The atmosphere wasn’t bad and the food was pretty good. The only problem was waiting for our food to come out. The server only handed our table of 5 with one happy hour menu so it took us a while to decide what we wanted on that and the regular menu. But the over all experience wasn’t bad.“
