“Look, when I was thinking about this review, I really didn't want to call any employee out because usually when I get called out at my job, it's usually to comment on my "laziness" or "writing Yelp reviews on the job," but that is neither here nor there. Today, this employee was overwhelming deserving of a shout out. Going for a quick coffee run before work at the Starbucks in target, I was blown away, absolutely blown away by Ajah (I think I spelled her name correctly, forgive me if not). Ajah crushed it in all aspects of Starbucks duties. Not only did she take orders, make all the drinks, warm up all the food, clean the utensils, know other customers by name, but she also apologized and thanked me for my patience for my wait time which was not long at all. Heck, she mopped the floors, put away carts, and I'm pretty sure she was going to use her lunch break to walk the Target dog that's in their advertisements. She was tremendous and the other patrons thought so as well. As she finished up a customers drink she offered up a better way to mix in something and the customer said and I quote, "you are amazing!" Indeed she was amazing. It should be noted that when I paid, I asked her if I could leave a tip as here wasn't an option. She politely explained that she couldn't accept tips which is bananas on so many levels. Like, she was that phenomenal of an employee going above and beyond...for no tips? That is unbelievable of her and she clearly deserves a raise. My only hope is that I can be as efficient and skillful as her one day and perhaps, get better reviews for myself. Regardless, she made it evident today that she is an incredible employee and this was the best Starbucks experience ever. My drink was good. 5/5.“
“Nice place. Our coffee group met here this morning. I'm a black coffee guy but two others in the group had specialty coffees and said they were good. Pastries were also good. Service and atmosphere were top notch. Will definitely return.“
“Amore Coffee in Saint Paul is my favorite local gem. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and exceptional coffee make it the perfect spot to unwind. Plus, their pastries are always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for a relaxing coffee experience!Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.“
“This has become my favorite coffee shop. Run by a wonderful family. Excellent coffee and other beverages. The spicy Mexican hot chocolate is terrific. I also enjoy the latte and the cappuccino. Baked goods are divine - I especially love the oat bread and the banana bread. Although I have not sampled yet there are also breakfast and lunch items that I can see are popular. Compact seating area that is comfortable and the noise level moderate.“
“Wow. What a great experience. Our server Priscilla was amazing. She turned around what could have been a disappointing evening due to a longer than normal wait for our food by offering incredible service which is increasingly rare. The creme brulee was the life-changing. So good.“
“I did not think this “shack” would be my go-to coffee shop. But, holy cow - it’s the BEST! I can walk to two Caribous and a Starbucks, but I prefer to get on the highway just for a coffee from Mudslingers. Something about the espresso there just doesn’t even compare to other places, even some of the more hipster and bougie coffee shops. I’m utterly impressed. Keep doing what you’re doing.“
“Went for Easter Brunch. I've been on the hunt for good brunch spots in the Twin Cities as a college student who often needs a Sunday afternoon rally. After all the places I've tried, Hope may just be the best the city has to offer.Hope, simply put, has its ducks in a row. The service is snappy. The 1-hr cap on dining time seems daunting, but you'll come to love it--it's a great way to keep customers coming in when certain types start sipping a little too slowly on their Captain Crunch cocktails. Being from the South, I'm used to brunch taking eons due to these types of tables. That's not an issue here! They're no-nonsense. Server was friendly and gave great recommendations. Every course was delicious and surprising. We started with the Captain Crunch cereal milk Rumchata cocktail and raspberry lemonade--both of which were divine. Very strong flavors that taste exactly as advertised. Not too sweet despite what others have suggested. I got the pimento cheese scramble with bacon and baby monkey cakes--good lord. Everything was out-of-this world. The peanut butter syrup on the monkey cakes is like crack--again, I'm from Louisiana, so plate-licking dishes are a high bar for me. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles with the incredible jalapeno syrup (great dipping option for the bacon, too). He's a chicken and waffle fanatic and has gotten it at every brunch place we've been to--this is the best!We will be coming back. Very reasonable prices considering the quality and inventiveness of the food as well as the excellent service and atmosphere.“
“My family and I recently went to luminary and loved the place! It is cozy and we liked the theme. We tried several pastries (cinamon swirl, chocolate raspberry cone, and a chocolate croissant) and they were all delicious. We also all loved the coffee we got! It has been hard to find a spot with good coffee as of late and this spot was definitely one to save with great drinks and a great experience. The only con is there isn't a ton of seating and the place, seeing as it is so good, gets busy.“
“Stopped in for a meet up with the some friends on a Sunday afternoon. This is a cute little coffee shop set in a strip mall. There is all kinds of seating available and a lot of plug ins in case you came here to work. The baristas were super kind and helpful. I had an Iced Chia Tea that was amazing. My friends had some other specialty coffee drinks and said they were very delicious. Definitely swing in here for a cup of Joe if you are in the area!“
“I was feeling adventurous so I ordered the Bluebeards Ghost and It was glorious! Slightly salty, a little spicy, and the Vanilla brought a subtle sweetness. I ordered it a second time and added sugar and totally ruined my drink, don't be like me ?Kid-friendliness: My daughter always gets a vanilla steamer when we come here. It makes her feel like a big girl which is pretty cute.“
“A new favorite of mine. The bun vermicelli noodle salads are so good. I've tried the chicken teriyaki and grilled pork and they're both delicious. Love all the drinks...I had the brown sugar milk tea with boba, and they have non-dairy options too, like oat milk. Of course the croissants and baked goods are amazing! Will be going back regularly. Oh and the bulgogi beef kimchi fries! Fantastic!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free drink optionsKid-friendliness: Lots of space, variety of seating options, very kids and family friendly.“
“My husband and I came here tonight for milkshakes and were so impressed! Both of us loved how creamy and thick they were. The gal working behind the counter was kind helping a family with young kids figure out ice cream orders. Great service, great ice cream, we will be back!“
“I love Rafiki! The owners are so welcoming and intentional about knowing their customers. They remembered my name after the first time they met me even with weeks apart from my second visit! Great large room for bigger meetings and small tables for individual workspace. Unique food & drink options that are similar to what you can find at any coffee shop along with their own unique spin on drinks as well. Try the African tea, it’s delicious and well spiced!Parking: There is a free lot adjacent to the space, but is shared with other businesses so at times it can be difficult to find street parking that is close enough.“
“Records are fun, vibe is great, coffee is good but the pastries… OMG amazing. Best danish I’ve ever had, my partner’s egg sandwich looked phenomenal (he confirms also good).I wouldn’t say it’s extremely high quality third wave coffee if that’s what you’re looking for, but definitely top tier 2nd wave.“
“This Wildflyer Coffee store offers a satisfying range of quality brews in a great ambiance. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. While the selection could be slightly broader, the overall experience is delightful, earning it a solid five stars.Dietary restrictions: Good selectionsParking: Decent parking adjacent to the store and play street side parkingWheelchair accessibility: It has wheelchair access“
“I wish everything up on the hill were as perfect as Nina's. On a weekday morning this place is packed with people from all walks of life. A lot of students park here and take up tables just with them and their laptops which is my only gripe. Prices are reasonable. Be prepared to wait a bit for drinks because it is very popular.“
“Love their coffee & matcha! Have been to this location many times & the staff is always so friendly. Unfortunately that is a rare occurrence at some of the twin cities coffee shops ? Had a good time chatting with the employee working! Thank you SK!“
“What a treat! Cafe Astoria offers an exquisite blend of immaculate vibes, tasty food, and unique beverages, both hot and cold. I highly recommend the Athena Omelet Wrap and Mexican Mocha. Seating was surprisingly ample! We were expecting to have to wait on a Saturday morning, but their spacious interior and friendly staff made for a very smooth and pleasant experience. Hope to be back!“
“Nestled in the heart of Midway, Workhorse Coffee Bar proved to be a hidden gem awaiting discovery. My daughter and I stumbled upon this quaint establishment on a crisp morning, seeking respite from the bustling streets outside. What we found exceeded our expectations and left us longing for more.Upon entering, we were greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the inviting warmth of the cozy interior. The ambiance was a harmonious blend of modern chic and rustic charm, with exposed brick walls adorned with local artwork, complemented by the soft glow of pendant lights hanging from the ceiling. As we approached the counter, we were met with friendly smiles from the baristas, whose passion for their craft was evident in every cup they served. After perusing the menu, we decided to indulge in some breakfast bites to accompany our coffee. The selection was diverse, featuring both sweet and savory options crafted with care using locally sourced ingredients.I opted for the chocolate cookie, a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. My daughter grabbed a gluten free cookie that made her smile light up the room.Workhorse Coffee Bar is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it's a haven of warmth, community, and culinary delight. Whether you're seeking a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely breakfast bite with loved ones, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to Workhorse Coffee Bar. You won't be disappointed.“
“Stopped into Roots this afternoon and tried their cappuccino and green tea. Both were quite nice with the cappuccino being delightful. We tried a croissant as well and while it was a bit denser than I’m used to, it was still quite tasty and went well with both drinks. The store itself is a bit small but clean and well lit. Will definitely go back whenever possible.“
“Had such a great visit here today! We were able to visit with the kitties without a reservation on a Tuesday morning. The kitties seemed happy and healthy and the environment was clean and seemed well cared for. There were so many lovely cats and it was fun to spend time with them. One climbed into my lap to snuggle for a bit wich I loved. The staff was super friendly and one of the kitties literally jumped into the staff members arms for a cuddle during the hour change over wich I thought was adorable. Obviously the staff here care very much for the cats and the cats love them back.Coffee was delicious as well. Will definitely be back ?“
“Honey! We didn't want to leave! My coworker and I were the last ones out of the door! I'm an avid reader of Black Women Authors so the menu items made me smile inside. The ambiance and the choice in seating was perfect. (Be prepared for the string incense smell.) I will make it my business to stop into this place as often as I'm in the neighborhood. Love, love, love it!“
“Ordered both the lychee milk tea and the Thai tea milk tea with boba pearls and I must say it is absolutely delicious! The lychee milk tea was great! My 4 year old loved it! This place actually beats Sencha's Thai tea in my books! The flavor is more distinct and the boba is really delicious! It is a cute place to grab a boba tea and relax or grab and go. They also have simple sandwiches and wraps, along with some breakfast items. Looking forward to trying more from Tag Cafe!“
“Inconsistent quality of the coffee. We have been a few times and the quality of the espresso seems to depend on how busy the place is and who is working. The atmosphere is cute with friendly staff but for consistently quality for those serious about coffee, I’d head elsewhere. However, I have loved several of their seasonal non- coffee drinks!“
“Man this place well Gravy Babies on the weekends is sooooo good everything I ate was on point I had smothered pork chops, smothered steak and candied yams collard greens with turkey neck and cabbage, rice cornbread and cake was all the way off the chain have to make it her at least once on the weekends, worth the money I promise you your gonna like it“
“This place is great and is the perfect place to become a regular. The coffee is on par with any other place, but the matcha and the smoothies set it apart. Even the breakfast sandwiches are top notch. Little trinkets and stickers always attract my two young daughters and I've picked up several nice wood block prints that were for sale on the wall. Plus it feels good to support female owned local businesses. Thanks Maddie“
“This place is tucked away near United Hospital between 5th and 7th in StP. Since my partner doesn't care for breakfast food for breakfast, the diversity of LA Fusion's menu was perfect for him. Their full menu was available at 9am.Samosas, Kenyan bowls, crepes, burgers, salads, smoothies, quesadillas, lattes, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes oh my!ordered the beef samosas. My partner ordered the chicken quesadillas. Both came out within minutes.Three crispy samosas with a jerk dipping sauce (you have a choice of several different options)YUM! Well stuffed full of beef with a perfect crunch. The quesadilla was huge. He could only finish half and took the rest home for lunch.Very clean place. Huge drink menu. This was our second time visiting and look forward to exploring more of the menu.Parking: The paid lot has spaces designated for LA Fusion at no charge.“
“Very cute place, I got the St. Paddy's latte 16oz (coconut and dark chocolate) and it was so yummy! A singular woman was up front taking and making orders, and did her job well! The pastries looked huge and delicious but I haven't gotten one yet :)“
“I orderd the 6 inch Nutella cake for my wife's birthday. She and everyone at her party absolutely loved the cake. We loved it so much, we were so eager to cut a slice and forgot to take a picture before we did! We will definelty come back to Equisite for our cake needs!“
“The atmosphere as soon as you walk in are calm, inviting, small, and lovely. Slow and I love that. It makes you feel good to walk in there to enjoy or grab your coffee, theres multiple tables and a great seating area. They sell the coffee beans, books, and have a menu that you can choose your flavors to add to your coffee. The coffee itself is smooth and not strong or delicate , it’s juss right. I love it here. It’s a small shop, and I wish their hours were more expanded but otherwise it’s sucha lovely unique coffee place. I think alotta people enjoy it too?️?☕️ I get the cherry white chocolate hot mocha and it’s so delicious ,??? the lady and man are so nice too. They run it by themselves I think cause iv never seen anyone else in there helping.“
“Having numerous earnings from Mrs Mariel Ramsey trading platform is a life-time experience, with the capital of $1,000 I made a successful withdrawal of $12,500 after 7 working days, now I'm creditworthy!, Never before have I seen a broker so dedicated, hard-working and yet still tenacious at the same time, keep up the good works! contact Mrs Mariel Ramsey for genuine trading and fast profit payout without any issue.“
“We just moved to the area and this neighborhood coffee shop is easily preferred for me over others in the area. Crisp, trendy space inside and the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had! Well done Bean and Co! Satisfied new customer “
“I usually get to Dunn Bros. on Saturday mornings to get a cup of French Java or another dark roast. The building is old, but has character. Art for sale on walls, cafe table, chairs, an old stage, and even a coffee bean roaster in the corner to admire. The locals are always there chatting, studying, or killing time. The workers are always smiling, friendly, quick to assist, and get the orders right. The place gets its fair share of interesting people though and that can make for some entertainment.“
“I found this place on Google Maps and decided to try it. Milkweed was full of people and had many customers coming through to get coffee for take out. Despite this, it had a laid back vibe. There are tables in front and more comfy chairs in the back. They have an assortment of THC cocktails on the wall and sell gummies on the counter. I didn't have a place to plug in, but I was still able to work on my laptop for a little while to enjoy the experience. I had a specialty drink, which was good and a cold brew which hit the spot. Overall I enjoyed my experience.“
“Was coming back home from a hike and wanted to check out a local coffee shop instead of Starbucks and Caribou and so glad I did! The mocha was well made and the scones were great! The owner was super friendly and a few locals were there too who recommended other dishes to try next time I’m in. Definitely recommend checking this coffee shop out if you’re on the area - even has a drive through if you aren’t able to stay for long ?“
“This is a coffee shop, not a full restaurant and they make some really nice coffee drinks with ingredients you don’t find at chain coffee places, like bitters and molasses and cardamom. The speciality coffee drinks are around $6-8 dollars but are worth it. More worth it than paying that for something at the Mermaid place. They have seating, but it is a small place, located inside of an entire building with other things in it. The building recently put in an old time arcade, so we went to Five Watt and had delicious coffee drinks, I think one was called Bee Sting if I recall. Then there were old pinball machines from the 80s and 90s around too in the hall areas of the building. The barista who was working at Five Watt was great. He was really nice and their speciality coffee drinks are amazing.“
“We had a cinnamon pull-apart, a white lightning, and a seasonal gingerbread latte. The white lightning looked nothing like the advertised pictures and also had no vanilla flavor. The espresso tasted burnt and it was overall an unenjoyable beverage. The gingerbread latte had no recognizable gingerbread flavor but instead tasted like a standard latte with a dash of cinnamon. The espresso tasted far better in this drink but it was still underwhelming. We enjoyed the cinnamon pull-part most out of what we ordered, however, it was still quite dry.The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was lively with excellent decor.“
“We had the incredible opportunity to host an after hours event at the shop, and I simply cannot speak more highly of the service and ownership of this shop. The owner Greta is a deep supporter of her community and has fostered such a thoughtful and wholesome environment.“
“Super friendly staff that always make for a good experience. I love that they roast the beans the day you place your order. My first order arrived at 7 PM and I had to have a cup that night because it smelled so good and fresh. Well worth the terrible sleep as that was a fantastic cup of coffee and I have been hooked ever since. It is now the only place I get beans for my home coffee.“
“The lighting and the soft funky music was spot on. The food and drinks were amazing. The only difficult park was parking. I want to try their brunch out. We had 9 people and they were very accommodating. Definitely my favorite place down town Saint Paul!!!“
“Randomly stumbled on this spot a week or so ago and was glad I did, the people working here were so genuinely engaging and friendly, it caught me off guard in a good way, chatting and getting a coffee was a great moment in my day that day. I didn't know what to get either but the barista working suggested something specific they liked drinking and it was delicious. Strong espresso and could taste vanilla, lavender, etc. def not any watered down anything, and it was not expensive which I appreciated.“
“Went here because of tik tok. They were out of a lot of items at 11am which is bitter sweet. The line was out the door as well. Glad they’re getting business! We wanted to try the viral circle croissants but had to settle with other options including the banana chocolate croissant. Sadly, I wasn’t impressed since I couldn’t really taste the chocolate. It was still a nice croissant but I’ve definitely had better. Hoping to go again did to try the popular items.“
“The food was decent, but not spectacular. The service was good. The value was tough at $250 for three kids ordering off of the kids menu and two adults ordering only one appetizer each with two glasses of wine. Pazzaluna was a much better value with the same atmosphere and “
“Christopher does an amazing job managing this Caribou located in the Securian financial building in Saint Paul's skyway system. Their friendly staff will remember your name with a smile. Once a regular, I no longer frequent their MSP Caribou due to the change of their loyalty program. With nearly 7,000 points, Caribou devalued my point value. No Bueno.Parking: Horrible. They are located in the skyway system of downtown Saint Paul.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, via elevator.“
“Interesting location, beer is good. Parking is best done on the street or in the lot across the street. Parking is a challenge when the game business in the same building is busy. Like a Sunday afternoon ? They were great and let the girl scouts sell cookies. Great space with lots of options for seating and a wall of games to use while there. Saw many tables using those.“
“One on One absolutely rocks. Old school bike loving mentality from people that are super cool and super knowledgeable. Every interaction I've ever had with them has been great. They don't try to hard sell anything, they're very honest about what work needs to be done. They're very communicative. They really just want you to love riding your bike. I've been to and worked at plenty of shops and One on One is top notch.“
“Great experience! Came here for the first time due to this place being the only remotely healthy place in the area. Everything in the area is literally fast-food and/or greasy burgers, etc. Terri (Terry) was extremely friendly. She was very outgoing and interactive with me and assisted me with ordering considering it was my first time. She continued to engage in conversation with me the entire time I was in the store. It was a really great experience! I ordered the tropical sunrise tea I believe as well as the chocolate mint protein shake. Both were absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend.“
“Long wait midday for a simple cuppa. Only one barista (she was good but a tad overwhelmed by the number of customers). Music was chill, but the cement floor and hard furniture made it a bit loud and easy to overhear talkers even if you wouldn't want to. Coffee was ok and not tepid as is sometimes the case when you get pre-prepared brewed coffee. If you have wheels there are better choices; I suspect the clientele included many people from adjacent apartments.“
“YUM! My husband and I tried St.Paul Bagelry today after a quick Google search for a bagel place near our final destination of Como Zoo (hubs wanted bagels). A fun place with delicious sandwiches, bagels, and cream cheeses! The crew that was working was super friendly and fun. Lots of light banter and felt like they genuinely enjoyed working there. That's always nice to see as someone who works in the retail/customer service industry myself. We'll definitely be back!“
“Best Starbucks in the world! Not just because of the coffee, but because of each and every employee that works as a team and are all Minnesota nice! Totally making my day today ! My kids even got a special surprise today!! Quack, quack ! ???thank you so much. My coffees are perfect every time!“
