Being from the South, I'm used to brunch taking eons due to these types of tables. That's not an issue here! They're no-nonsense. Server was friendly and gave great recommendations. Every course was delicious and surprising.We started with the Captain Crunch cereal milk Rumchata cocktail and raspberry lemonade--both of which were divine. Very strong flavors that taste exactly as advertised. Not too sweet despite what others have suggested. I got the pimento cheese scramble with bacon and baby monkey cakes--good lord. Everything was out-of-this world. The peanut butter syrup on the monkey cakes is like crack--again, I'm from Louisiana, so plate-licking dishes are a high bar for me. “Love what this place is all about: bringing people together with soccer and coffee (two of my favorite things). I try to make it in for evening pickup soccer about once a week. Love that there are late night sessions after my kids are in bed and that I can cool down with a cold local beer.I also pop in for coffee regularly and love the atmosphere (soccer on TV, groups of students working, families in together, etc).Also, my 3 year old LOVES the free kids open play. The pastry I tried had a great flavor, but it was very dry --- I think they might benefit from having a door on the back of the pastry case. Overall, I think this place is pretty good and worth checking out if you are in the North Loop.“

“I'm so glad I found this gem! I really enjoy trying new teas and this is the perfect place to do it! The menu lists their matcha from most approachable to more challenging. The matcha options at the top tend to be really creamy (without any milk, it's just water and matcha!), and further down the list they tend to get grassier and more bitter. There are also black, green, oolong, pu'er, and herbal teas that you can get in a gongfu set. It's nice to just take 60-90 minutes re-steeping the tea and relaxing in the beautiful tea house.They have some snacks like mochi and pastries, but unfortunately I don't think any were vegan. I hope they add some vegan options so I can snack while sipping tea.Dietary restrictions: They do not add milk to their matcha, so it's great for vegans! Unfortunately, I don't think there are any vegan snacks in the bakery case.Parking: There is cheap street parking nearby. “Had such a great visit here today! We were able to visit with the kitties without a reservation on a Tuesday morning. The kitties seemed happy and healthy and the environment was clean and seemed well cared for. There were so many lovely cats and it was fun to spend time with them. One climbed into my lap to snuggle for a bit wich I loved. The staff was super friendly and one of the kitties literally jumped into the staff members arms for a cuddle during the hour change over wich I thought was adorable. Their full menu was available at 9am.Samosas, Kenyan bowls, crepes, burgers, salads, smoothies, quesadillas, lattes, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes oh my!ordered the beef samosas. My partner ordered the chicken quesadillas. Both came out within minutes.Three crispy samosas with a jerk dipping sauce (you have a choice of several different options)YUM! Well stuffed full of beef with a perfect crunch.The quesadilla was huge. He could only finish half and took the rest home for lunch.Very clean place. Huge drink menu.
