Grandma’s Saloon & Grill – Virginia is a local favorite that has been around for decades. The food is delicious, especially the incredible creamy chicken & wild rice soup, which is hearty, delicious, and filling. Other menu highlights include the Grilled Steak Kabobs with wild rice, stuffed mushrooms that are delicious and filling, and a double patty burger with cheddar cheese, pickles, and onion rings. The food is always cooked to order, fresh, and satisfying. The service is outstanding, with well-organized waitstaff who do not miss a beat with refills and timing. The restaurant is nice and family-friendly, with a very extensive menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and lovely entrees. The decor is dated, but the friendly service and accommodating staff make up for it, even creating variations for dietary restrictions. It is a well-rounded experience recommended to everybody traveling through Virginia, Minnesota.
