“The phone was okay. I had much higher expectations from what I have heard. I definitely would not go out of my way to go back. However I would give it a 5 out of 10 for their pho definitely not the best I've had and definitely not the worst.“

“I’ve been craving bún bò huế for a while but was hesitant to try it just anywhere. After hearing that Tay Ho serves some of the best in the Twin Cities, I finally decided to check it out and wow, it did not disappoint!
The broth came out piping hot, rich, and full of flavor. It was loaded with generous chunks of brisket and a pork hock that soaked up all that goodness perfectly. The meat was tender and paired so well with the noodles and herbs.
The lady who served my friend and I was kind and attentive, always refilling our water and checking in on us without being overbearing.
We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls on the side. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, but the spring rolls weren’t really my favorite. The pork had a slightly funky taste.
The restaurant itself is cozy with tables close together, so you might catch snippets of nearby conversations. Parking can be a little tight too, but it’s manageable.
Overall, the food and service here totally won me over. I’ll definitely be back for their bún bò huế and to try more items from the menu next time!“

“I've been going here (well actually began eating at the original location next door) for over 25 years! It is my very favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the world! So sad to see it close! We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The family has always been so kind. Mai Village you will be greatly missed!“
“Took the Wife and teen went to dinner last night and were very impressed with the food, ambiance, and simple yet classy space. The food had a short but diverse offering from appetizers to dessert. All Vietnamese origin with variations created by chef Eric Pham. We got the roast pork fried rice, hot chili flake chicken wings, hot chucking sandwich, and the Tres Leches cake. All delicious! Chef Pham came over to greet us several times and was very gracious and warm. Much appreciated!“

“Tried this last week. Portion size is good (2 item combo); more rice than chicken.
It looked better than it tasted. The sesame chicken seemed a day old/from the previous day (a little stringy and dry), but it was still ok. The orange chicken was better, but overall the food tasted like standard Chinese food. The fried rice was good, but standard as well.
Just over $14 for the combo.
No seating for the restaurant but there are plenty of tables for general seating in the center of the floor.“

“Their thai boat for me wasn't good they tasted like package noodles. What was great and probably the best in MN to me is their raw larb. They use real pepper, not dry pepper, not chili flakes, real authentic cayenne pepper. 1 out of 5 places I've been to will use real pepper and not just that, they put mint leaves and lemon grass also. A lot of places just throw in cilantro and green onion, maybe red onion TOO. Their lao papaya is good, full of flavor and spice if you ask for it. I would say 4.5/5 overall as my main interest was their thai boat which wasn't for me. Service was great too.“

“Blown away by the low reviews. This is my favorite place for viet food in Saint Paul. They have unique items like crab noodle soup I haven’t found anywhere else. This place feels authentic to me, If you don’t have an acquired taste to viet food maybe you’d prefer a more washed down spot but I love this place so much.“

“My girlfriend use to go here for PHO in the winter. I didn't know what PHO was until she introduced me to it, but when I started eating it ,I see why she loved it. It was so so cold the other day and I had to have some, with cream wanton. Mmmmmm. Oh yeah, that girlfriend and I broke up, and I'm still eating PHO from here.“
