“Nice place, good food, and great service but the light fun atmosphere just tanked when the manager walked by. Not what you want to see on a Saturday night at this price point! It was actually awkward to experience the way the manager treated the employees. He literally yelled across the room at the bartender for no identifiable reason. Sometimes it’s watching the way someone treats others that ruins a nice time more than anything. It really is a nice place with good food and great service hopefully this part of the place can change. Appears mine isn’t the first review that involves the manager so hopefully they will fix this issue.“

“AMAZING! I'm an east-coast guy living in the Midwest who's been looking for a great place for fresh seafood (sorry Red Lobster) for over 6 years. This diamond in the rough exceeded my expectations. While the majority of the US can't even find a place that serves King Crab (due to supply and demand escalated cost), I found a place that not only has it but has it at a very reasonable price. I had 1/2 lb King Crab, 1/2 lb Snow Crab, and 1/2 lb of shrimp. We must have been there for over an hour while I picked out every piece of crab meat. The way the dish came out was neat (I won't ruin the surprise). I also highly recommend the sweet potato fries. I would give this place a 6 out of 5 stars!“

“I want to El Maguey with my family for dinner, and overall we had a pleasant evening. The atmosphere is really great, It’s a modern yet traditional style. We got two taco kids meals and they were definitely over priced for what they were. The restaurant was really clean and we had great service. This restaurant is slightly pricey, but other than that I have no complaints.I think it’s worth checking out!“

“I had stopped going to Red Lobster because we had more than a few bad experiences at the one up north in KC. We weren't surprised when it closed.
I was so refreshing to go to this one in Lee's Summit and find the restaurant we remembered and enjoyed. Our waitress was a delight and we were checked often with refills on drinks. Our food was great and we really enjoyed our meal here.“

“In town for just a night and went to J. Alexander's for dinner. So glad I did! Best steak I have ever had, cooked perfectly. Sides were delicious as well and all the servers and chefs were awesome. Molly was the best server. Thank you for such an amazing feast.“
