“I just went to the fountain for the first time yesterday evening. I will definitely be back! If I lived in Stlouis I would go there often but unfortunately I live 2 hours away. I dined there with my sister and two of my nieces. Everything we ordered was so good! The cocktails are very good, especially the Love Potion #9 ice cream martini! We loved the dill pickle potato soup! A must try if you love dill pickles, you gotta try it! The hot roast beef sandwich, buffalo chicken dip, salads and sundae we had were all delicious! Our server was great too. I can't wait to go back!“

“Start with the Pork Belly Cheese Fries! I highly suggest the DLT sandwich with tater tots. Be sure to save room for some macarons. A staple in Maplewood: the staff is friendly, the bar has some great offerings, and the food is delicious. I highly suggest making a second trip to try brunch - you can't go wrong with Eggs Bene-duck.“

“Beyond Sweet Kitchen & Bar in St. Louis is an absolute must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and beautifully designed interior. The menu is a delightful blend of delicious dishes that cater to everyone’s tastes, and every bite is a testament to the quality and creativity of the chefs. Meeting the owner, Dallas, was the cherry on top of my experience. Her passion for food and commitment to customer satisfaction truly makes this place special. She was warm and engaging, and it was clear that she cares deeply about providing an exceptional dining experience. I indulged in several dishes, and each one was bursting with flavor—fresh ingredients elegantly combined to create unique culinary masterpieces. Pairing the meal with their carefully curated drink options was a highlight, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Our server Darius was also a joy! Beyond Sweet Kitchen & Bar isn’t just about great food—it’s a place where you feel welcomed and valued. I can’t recommend it enough! If you find yourself in St. Louis, make sure to stop by and experience the magic for yourself.“

“I came in hungry… I left in a committed relationship with a burger.
The 12oz smash burger at Florissant City Diner isn’t just food — it’s an emotional experience. Perfectly seared, juicy like it’s got secrets, stacked like it’s showing off, and dripping with flavor in all the best ways. I had to pause mid-bite and reevaluate my priorities in life.
Fries? Crispy. Staff? Friendly like they knew I was about to fall in love. Vibes? Classic diner with a side of soul.
If you haven’t tried that smash burger yet, go fix your life.
This ain’t fast food — this is Florissant therapy on a bun. 🙌🍔🔥“

“It's a very quaint and cool place to eat. The come straight out to your car to take your order and bring the food back out to you in your car. I was told that they've been around since the 1940s, same owners and all. They have awesome food and service and they're not very expensive at all.. I give them 5 thumbs up.“

“Ok, here’s the thing… I love food. And when I say I love food, you might think I’m a huge person or a food critic or a chef or just a dramatic fan. Well, I am actually an artist, and I… I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that the food we received was *high art.* I don’t mean the kind of pretentious high art food that is served in tiny portions and so beautiful that you almost don’t want to eat it. I mean that it was masterfully created—flavorful, textured to perfection, filling, and lamentable *only* in that I wish I’d had room for more. We started with the stuffed mushroom appetizer—which I’ll admit is not usually my favorite, but my wife generally loves—served upon a sprinkle of arugula and a slashed drizzle of balsamic glaze. Imma tell ya… I like stuffed mushrooms now. My wife ordered an entrée of eggplant Parmesan—one that she doesn’t care to make often for herself only because (and I’m quoting), “It’s a pain in the a$$ to cook.” I ordered linguine Pomodoro with added shrimp and had the steamed mussels appetizer served with my entrée, so that I could add them in (as I *do* love a tutto mare). Since my wife’s entrée was one of her favorites, and I don’t generally care for it, I left her to it, concentrating on my own. I shucked all the mussels and strained their accompanying shallots and bacon into my linguine leaving the garlic and cilantro pesto behind for bread dipping. OH [*clap*clap*clap*]—I forgot to mention the bread. They served a fantastic mini loaf of the softest bread topped with caramelized onions alongside fresh grated Parmesan in olive oil. Upon our finishing it off, I asked for a second helping. Back to the entrée… My first actual bite was of the mussels, and that bite was fantastic. Then I had one of the shrimp… and… here’s the thing… I am a poet, and I also write children’s books, so when I tell you that I simply do not have a superlative sufficient to describe the shrimp, you know I’m being serious. It was warm, seasoned, and snappy as shrimp should be, but it gave me pause—as Anton Ego in Ratatouille. * First, doubt—that I had experienced something so specifically wonderful before * Then, a quick scan from childhood to now for confirmation * And lastly, the comfort that can only come from those happiest memories of childhood—Christmas mornings on receiving more than you could ever have hoped for, Halloween nights’ preparations for what giggles and terrors were to come, and burrito-you ensconced in soft blankets straight from the dryer Then of course, the rest of the dish, twirled and slurped—not too quickly… every bite a confirmation and yet still a revelation. Here again, my only lament that I must see a portion of it boxed to leave room for dessert. And… dessert. Oh, boy… Seeing all of the items, my wife and I—in celebration of our 26th anniversary—decided on the sampler. Listen up, folks: flourless chocolate torta, crème custard napoleon, and gooey butter cake. JFC are you serious? Every bite more sumptuous—more scrumptious than the last. Every bit a reassurance that I will return. Our server, Chelsea, was commendable not only for her menu knowledge and sense of humor, but it’s not for nothing that she was absolutely on top of it with regard to my tea refills (which were many, as our dinner took place after a dehydratingly-busy workday for me). We will definitely be returning to Eleven Eleven, whereupon I intend to try a few different items, my palate then flooded with new sensations—new wonders… my only lament that I will not ever have that “first time experience” again.“
“My 4 year old LOVES to cook, everyone was so welcoming and helpful when we visited! Everything is always clean and organized and the food is delicious! It was nice to prep meals and provide a great learning experience all in one! My little chef and I will be back!“

“I don’t think I’ve ever had such an incredible experience at a restaurant like at the French frie factory. They ended up going viral on TikTok TWICE and ran out of stuff today so they closed down AND REOPENED after stocking back up. They came and directed people into parking spots, they kept everyone updated on when they were opening back up, they apologized over and over again about the wait, and were just overall incredible people. I would drive the 2 hours over and over again for just that but lemme tell you about the FRIESSS they are heaven. The most amazing fries I’ve ever had not gonna lie. They are family owned and I know them going viral has changed their lives. MAKE THE DRIVE 😍😍😍“

“Bring back the roasted tomato tarte! The best item on the menu for me was the Roasted Tomato Tarte that I enjoyed on numerous occasions. It was even highlighted on their menu as a favorite. So I scheduled a lunch with family and looked forward to the Roasted Tomato Tarte again today. BUT IT IS NO LONGER ON THE MENU!!! Bummer! I asked for the recipe and they said they would send it. I sure hope they will and also restore it to the menu.“

“My wife and I split the special which was salmon with rice and beans and it was delicious! The kids found something on the kids menu and all liked what they had. The Bavarian beer was very good. They gave one of our kids an adult version of the meal without fries, but promptly came back with a side of fries. Very fast with cooking and coming out with food. Servers were very attentive, came around often, and got what we needed quickly.“

But the awesomeness didn’t stop there- the friendly bartender shared more Celiac safe local hotspots with us as well!“

“This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.
As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would be 5/5 stars.“
“Fantastic as always! Probably the best burger in St. Louis. These 2oz smash burgers are seared to perfection. The Louie was a nice choice with sautéed peppers and onions. Next time I’d add a third party.Pro tip, there’s a gated parking lot but it’s free!“

“God I love their JJ Neukomm whiskey! But we had the Bavarian Weizen and it was a stupendous awakening to my taste sensors. So much so, we had to have another! I will definitely return to Spirits of St. Louis Distillery as the food looked great as well!“

“Since FB only allows a "yes" or "no" I chose yes because I've been to worse places, and had worse experiences, but I was not happy after my last visit. I went to an event at Blue Strawberry, the second one I've attended, and we were packed in like sardines. It's a small space, and they need to earn their nut, so I get it. In my previous visit, I bought a ticket for myself, and I was at a table alone for the show. This time, because the entertainer said they were sold out, they had to put single people at shared tables, but no one told me to expect this. I went to the restroom and when I come out a strange man is at the table sitting so close to my chair some people thought we were a couple. As a SA survivor, this was very uncomfortable to me. I understand the need for the venue to maximize sales, but it would have been nice if the person who seated me had said "by the way, you will have someone else sharing this table tonight because we're sold out." At least I wouldn't have had the shock of walking back and seeing a strange man sitting there when I didn't know they could be there. Then I had issues with the food. I had ordered an appetizer and their special of the day. It was 45 minutes until I received my appetizer (toasted ravioli.) Then I sat another 45 minutes, watching tables order, receive their food, and be finished before a waitress came over and asked if I ever received my entree. I finally received it about 10 minutes to showtime. It was described as jambalaya, but it was really a sausage gumbo style soup. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Like I said, I've had worse experiences in places that aren't as intimate a performance space. The theater aspect of the place is great. The rest of it has me not wanting to come back unless it's an artist there's no way I can see anywhere else.“

“Haven't been back to St. Louis for awhile and knew we needed to go to The Crossing for dinner. Jim Fiala and his team hits it out of the park in every way. 3 courses paired with wine and each spot on. Last time there we brought our own wine as it was a special bottle. No problem as long as it wasn't on their list and the wine cellar is extensive. If you want an extraordinary dining experience please go.“

“Some people spend their entire lives practicing religion or taking drugs or reading theory trying to figure out the meaning of life and transcend the mundanity of day-to-day life. I have done what these people have been trying to do for years. I have touched the face of god and the universe and had the most euphoric experience of my life by eating the blueberry pancakes here for breakfast. I’m so serious I don’t even like pancakes that much but I feel like a changed person now. They are that good here. Almost cried. I love you blueberry pancakes. You helped me touch the sky!!!!!“

“waited 15 minutes after being seated while wait staff just ignored us. we finally asked the hostess if we could place our order. a waiter came out finally, no apology for our wait. we placed.our order the he never came back. we waited 15 minutes after ordering and never got our beverages. it wasn't super crowded, only the patio was full. it's a shame because they do have good food but I will not be returning. “Tried Beni Exquisite Eats for the first time and had a single burger with fries. First off the steak fries were a very welcoming surprise and the seasoning perfect. The burger was great and the add-ons (lettuce and pickles) offered a perfect crunch. This to-go package was empty and clean after lunch. I’ll aim to find my way back again when I forget my lunch. Note: They are open on Monday’s now.“
