“Overall I had a pretty good experience. The girl behind the counter was very interested in what her phone was telling her and was a little slow on my order. The chicken was great as always but the biscuits were literal bricks. The area around the soda is really messy and there are lots of lids on the ground and those straw sleeves scattered about. No one is keeping this area clean because they're too busy looking at their stupid phones“
“Really great food without all of the grease that you usually get with fried food. Not only do they have top notch chicken (probably the best in St Louis), but they also have really good fish and shrimp. They have frog legs! I haven't tried them yet but judging by their other food they're probably as exceptional as they look. They have good portions on the yummy sides, as well. The okra is prepared and cooked correctly- not slimy or greasy at all. The staff is super friendly and courteous. It's a nice atmosphere to dine in; adequate seating and eclectic decorations. Not fast food in quality and ambiance, but close to fast food speed getting your order.“

“I think we found a new favorite pizza place! Every time I walk past the fridge, I grab a piece of cold pizza from last night. The pizza is loaded with toppings and delicious! The service was amazing! It was our first time there and we were slow to order, but we were made to feel welcome and all of our questions were answered. They were extremely busy and the host made time to welcome us and make sure we were satisfied with our meal. We will be back when we are in the area!“
“Last night , I spent hours searching for the best restaurants in St Louis and I stumbled upon this one. The reviews were amazing and let me tell you, the reviews were correct. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We tried the bulgogi and rice bowl, the charred wings, and cheese fries. We also tried a peach shot, they didn’t taste strong but the results were. I normally don’t visit a restaurant more than once but I’ll be a repeat customer anytime that I’m in town. I also loved the customer service. The woman taking my order was very cheery and made me feel welcomed. Many of the customers are repeat customers that were also talkative and welcoming. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and this one is definitely in my top 5.“
“Turkey ribs were awesome. First time having them, great with sauce or without. Smoke was excellent. Potato salad was like my grandmas. I didn’t get the turkey tips because they were out, I assume that means those are good too. This is a humble smokehouse with good people. Highly recommend.“

“Just went to Chuck's on South Kingshighway (old Courtesy Diner) near Tower Grove Park. So glad they are there. What great food and service. Had 3pc tenders (Level 3) and Chicken Sandwich (Level 2). Both were great; good flavor, crunchy breading, and juicy. I prefer my chicken on the spicier side, so I'd go with Level 3 from now on. Pickles added great flavor and crunch. They have other higher levels of heat, as well as a Zero Level for those that just want great fried chicken. Also had the seasoned fries, which were hot and crispy; green beans (very good and typical southern style with bacon and onions); and slaw which we also really enjoyed. Finally the service was fast and very customer friendly. I recommend giving it a try and I'll definitely be back.“

The manager was very welcoming and introduced himself and advised me on food favorites and was very kind. He went above and behind my expectations! He even gave me a discount for my first time here ordering for my employees. “Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!“

I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my food…sweet plantains, rice and peas, and the Caribbean Rice Bowl. Worth the $ and drive from U-City to Cherokee!! My recommendation if you’ve never tried is to check their social media to confirm they’re open before making the drive. I missed them last week due to a catering event.“

“This place was pretty nice for my first time going. They have a lot of sauces to choose from for the wings. I got spicy blue cheese and honey hot garlic. Both were pretty delicious. They're cooked to perfection, still nice and juicy, with a nice crunch from the breading. The boneless wings are huge and are pretty much big pieces of cut up breasts. The sauces are great too. Many of them are Asian twists on classic styles. The sides are great too. Very good all around.“

“A luncheonette-style start-up on the tail end of the South Grand strip, Waaberi has a short menu of curries and appetizers. The owner-chef-waitstaff is very friendly and eager to please. We had a curried chicken dish with potatoes and a goat entree. Both were very good. The goat was a bit gristly, but then again, that's goat for you. We had appetizers that I think were called "somposas" -- triangles of meat-filled crust. They were killer, as was the hot sauce that came with them. Highly recommend them. Waaberi is a work in progress, but a great addition to our community and well worth a visit. Or two. Or more.“

“I have been a fans of Canes for a long time. The breaded tenders and canes sauce have always been a craving of mine since I discovered its culinary wonders. Sadly the large tenders have gotten smaller since my last time visiting a canes. I know it's not Stl Cane's fault.. it's a corporate thing.. but it was a little disappointing when the tenders were no longer the largest on the market.. but the price remained high.. I'm in foodservice.. and I know how hard the industry is struggling.. but if you drop the size of tenders and charge the same price.. that's a little sad.. I wouldn't mind paying more for the big tenders like I wanted when choosing canes.. I will return and hopefully this was just a one off.“
