When the food arrived though it was all very tasty. The three of us chose to share sides and had food for a lunch leftover. “Brunch is better here. The cocktails are on point. But the food is something that can't be passed on. From an out of towner that almost gave up because of limited parking, this a place that every town and city needs. Columbia has something special here.“

“Chanced to eat here as a pleasant day and they had outside seating. Their caldo pollo (chicken soup) was excellent. Caldo Pollo is a sentinel dish. If a place has good caldo pollo, carnitas, and tamale it's pretty certain everything else will be good. Also had a very good torta cubano. The extra spicy salsa (you have to request) was superb. Love the staff.“

“We visited Bur Oak for the first time last weekend while visiting from Kansas City. This was one of the best all-around brewery experiences we've had. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. The beer was delicious- I tried both the brown ale and the Mochaccino. They also had the KU football game on (extra points! Hopefully no one gets in trouble). My only regret is that we are cat lovers and got thoroughly snubbed by Clyde. They need to sell the mochaccino porter in Kansas City- It's terrific. I took some with me and will definitely be back. It would be great if they could add some high-top tables with backed stools for a more comfortable seating option.“

“Decided to get a burrito and chips & queso for lunch. I got the steak fajita burrito, rice and beans side, queso and cheese and a size of guac. The queso is on the thin side and spicy but realllllly good. The guac needs some flavor. The rice and beans were flavorful and the burrito was amazing and flavorful. The portions are massive and I have lunch for tomorrow. I love that there’s a drive through window. I preordered for pick up after a training class and the food was ready at the time requested. You can order through the drive through but please don’t. Please pre order or go inside. Leave the drive through for quick and easy pick up. Will definitely be back. I want to try the breakfast burritos!“

“The food was pretty good over all especially for the price. We ordered the trip appetizer and got the cheese bites, chicken strips, and cheese fries. Everything was pretty good. The chicken strips were really good though, moist, cooked perfectly, with a brilliant flavor. The kids fried shrimp was bland in flavor and cold when we got it but that was the only thing wrong with the whole meal. We also got croissants with honey butter that were really good. The mashed potatoes tasted home made and were smooth but not too smooth to seem fake. The burger was huge and cooked perfectly but extremely greasy. Make sure to ask for extra napkins. We had a really kind server who was attentive even though they were extremely busy. She was always on top of our needs and the needs of the others around us. The restaurant itself was so loud it was hard to hear, there were several times where people were singing a version of happy birthday that was just way too loud, if you like that kind of thing though this place would be the place for you. I also noticed there seemed to be a full bar on the other side of a very cool fish tank and a very interesting ceiling fan.“

“We went through the drive-through and the person taking our order was courteous and thorough. He repeated our order back to us and asked for any sauces. Our order was ready as soon as we pulled up to the window and everything was delicious! The new fries are perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We were also able to get a double cheeseburger, upgrade to a large fry, and a chocolate shake for $13. Great experience!“
