“I've tried 'em all, and love 'em all. The Shack. Spencer's. Courtesy Diner. Each a can't miss.
But it doesn't get any better than Slingers. They KILL omelets and hash browns and biscuits & gravy and pancakes. ALL the breakfast faves. And it's a pretty drive 15 min south of Eureka. One of the pluses for me.
Pssst... if you order coffee, THEY LEAVE A THERMAL POT ON YOUR TABLE!“

“We had an office boxed luncheon and the food was amazing, delivery was on time and ordering was super simple. The staff is always so friendly and they accommodated a lot of our dietary restrictions. Got many praises for the food and so will definitely order from them again. Love when we can support small businesses that have amazing food.“

“Young's is the place to get Fried Chicken!! Always fresh and perfectly seasoned, not greasy and with a lite crispy coating. All of their food is cooked to order and delicious. If you have not been there, you are missing out on a great experience!!!!“

“There are always good choices on the menu, but I was looking for a light meal. I picked an old time favorite that I hadn't had for a while, Chicken Wonton Tacos and it was certainly a good choice. Carrie was our server and was friendly and attentive. I will be back soon.“

“As an employee I may be biased however I would recommend this restaurant as both a great place to eat and work. The people make it a great place to work and the slow roasted beef make it hands down, the best roast beef around. with just a touch of seasoning salt it’s great as is or add some au jus and horseradish to complete it.“

“The Hay Market is within the Holiday Inn at Six Flags and is within a historical dairy barn that was converted many years ago...
Through out the years we have dined here off and on... on Thanksgiving Day they offered a holiday themed buffet... which was delicious...
Melissa was our waitress that day... she was attentive and stopped by to make sure we we not in need of anything... everyone was kind and wonderful...
We will definitely eat there again...“

“We had not been here in a little while (couple years) so decided to stop in. It's a pretty popular spot and has a regular following so it was busy. It was a Saturday evening at prime dinner time so that was to be expected. Fortunately there was an open table for the two of us so we had no wait. Our waitress, Kasey, was excellent! We didn't feel the least bit rushed but our appetizer was out very quickly and soon after our entrees. Dishes were cleared as they came empty by any waitress or server that happened past the table. We got a burger & fries and the fish dinner with a side Ceasar salad. Everything was prepared perfectly and delivered fresh and hot.
The noise level was commensurate with a bar/restaurant which should be expected when dining at a bar/restaurant.
The menu offers plenty of options at reasonable prices and the bar can satisfy the full gamut of request.
In summary - I recommend Trueman's Place to anybody looking for a good dinner, light apps and/or drinks with friends.“

“We went on a Sunday afternoon 4 adults 1 2 yr old that didn't want to sit still. Brandy M. Was our waitress she was awesome. I had lost my voice and she listened without me having to talk she was also very good with the little one, gave her stickers and a high five for eating so well.“

“Older bar and grill with good food and plenty of space. Pool, gaming and Foosball on site. Friendly wait staff and our party of 7 was quickly seated. Several tvs with different games going on. Ceiling fans made it a little drafty so bring a coat or sweat shirt in case you get cool.“

“Bangers and mash are excellent. Fish and chips are good. Seating can be a bit tight. Service is good, but not great. It’s a small place so usually one or two servers working. They work very very hard, but it’s hard to get their attention because they’re so busy.“

“Poor Richards is a great family restaurant with many food options. The wings are the best in the St. Louis area, hands down. The wait and bar staff and courteous, friendly, and very attentive. Pricing is competitive and there’s an arcade area for the little ones.“

“We have had the Best Pizza in St. Louis so much better then IMOs. Grand slam pizza supreme is completely nutritious. Our pizza - we have had a few - was absolutely the most delicious pizza I’ve had bacon , vegetables, cheese, pepperoni just wonderful pizza. Give them a try just once…….“

“Bryant made my mother-in-law’s birthday unforgettable!
From the moment we were seated, Bryant set the tone for an amazing celebration. He greeted my mother-in-law by name, checked in just the right amount, and somehow anticipated everything we needed before we even asked. Drinks were always refreshed, he offered spot-on menu suggestions, and he timed each course perfectly so our group could relax and enjoy the evening.
What really stood out was how genuinely he cared about making the birthday special. Bryant arranged a festive dessert surprise, rallied the team for a quick “happy birthday,” and even offered to take photos so we could all be in the moment. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional—this was hands-down the best customer service we’ve had in a long time.

“Me and my wife decided to try something new and have dinner here. I had trouble with the kiosk machine but I managed. The food was great, but it took a long time for our food to be called out to us. While waiting I mentioned that the lobby area had some filthy tables. I was not mad it seemed like they had little staff. But this young gentleman came and cleaned them immediately. While doing so I mentioned to him that our food was taking quite some time. He apologized and said he’d have it out shortly. Few minutes fly by and he approached my wife and handed her a bag of food. Apparently an online order cancelled and they didn’t want it to go to waste so he passed it on to us. The staff was very welcoming. The manager was very professional and the other young gentleman on the grill had us laughing while waiting. Good employees but the store could be cleaner and have food out faster.“
