“Wednesday is always chicken day. I've been trying to be in town (mostly Farmington), but I was in Jackson around 130. Been waiting for a month and a half. They were out of chicken and would have some around 430. I settled for small rib dinner with fried okra and potato salad. My wife had pulled pork and potato salad. Both fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. Still wanted the chicken, it's the best.“

“My first time here at Bayou was great. Service was excellent, good atmosphere, and the servings. My gosh the servings, they are huge. If you get an appetizer (to share, don't tackle one yourself) and just the main item with no sides you will be golden. I got the smoked pork steak and while it was a little dry (but that's pork, I won't hold it against them) the sauce was amazing but be sure to ask for extra sauce. Their blackened shrimp are amazing as well. I'd say definitely worth stopping in on an empty stomach and bring friends if you want to finish off an appetizer.“
