The Ox Cafe & Bakery is a charming restaurant located in a 100-year-old historic building in the West Bottoms area. The cafe offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere with a local feel and historic ambiance. The menu features a range of options, including burgers, all-day breakfast dishes, and soups. The burger is a standout, with a fresh and tasty patty, crispy bacon, and a perfect bun. The homemade chips with house-made ranch and a pinch of dill are also a highlight. Other popular dishes include the sweet potato bisque, bagel with lox, and steak soup. The Cobb Salad was full of all of the typical ingredients and blue cheese dressing was great. The Strawberry, Goat, Basil salad was delicious and refreshing, a perfect combination of ingredients with shaved fennel a nice addition. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing and tasted very fresh, which is always a plus. The service was great and the server was very nice. The atmosphere feels very cozy and is definitely themed to the stockyards. It's a great place to have brunch, grab a coffee, meet locals, and enjoy a surprisingly lived-in vibe.
