“This was my first time ordering a professionally designed cake for my birthday. Melissa did not disappoint! I gave her inspiration designs and she did a fabulous job. The end result was spectacular. I ordered a chocolate cake with a raspberry mousse filling. It was absolutely delicious! The cake stayed moist for days and the raspberry mousse tasted like I was eating real raspberries. Carter is a kind hearted man that is sadly leaving us for college very soon, but tonight he jumped into action. As I had sustain a previous wound that was freshly cut open Carter came save me and patch my thrashing cut up. Carter has not only been a loyal worker but also a heroic one that deserves a substantial raise. Any workplace/environment would be lucky to have a man as kind, caring, and as thoughtful as he is.“

“When I needed a cake for an impromptu party I decided only 12 days ahead on, I picked up the phone and called Sweet Spot Cake Shoppe and reached out to Donna. I had a kinda, round about idea of what I was after, but honestly I just wanted 1/4 sheet 1/2 chocolate 1/2 white with LIGHT icing and I wanted the USMC Globe and Anchor logo and a RR track around the perimeter. Her FIRST ATTEMPT (that's right 1st) was a Grand Slam. This cake is for a Vietnam Combat Veteran Marine and I wanted it perfect. SSCS blew my expectations out of the water. In fact, I'd say came in about 20-25% less than the same at the big chain bakeries, not to mention it was one fresh, perfect cake, nothing misspelled or 3" of frosting on top of some dried out 4 day old cake that was mass produced. Made to order and more affordable! 5 stars across the board! Thanks for making the party complete!“

“I am visiting a friend from out of town and we stopped by to see what sort of sweet treats we wanted to have at home. This beautiful shop is full of an abundance of tempting treats for those looking for special desserts/snacks/treats for any occasion. We ended up grabbing some cake pops, pineapple upside-down cake, gooey butter cake, and chocolate-covered Oreos. The gooey-butter cake was absolutely amazing—gooey, sweet, rich and decadent! If you love this cake, grab a piece for yourself. I have had one of the cake-pops (milk-chocolate covered banana cake), and it was absolutely delicious! The chocolate had a nice crack to it and the banana cake was moist and had a nice, strong natural banana flavor. The pineapple upside down cake (sold in individual large squares) was moist, covered with a nice crunch of crystallized sugar with a cherry on top, and was just amazing. Also highly recommend! Haven’t tried the other items, but will report back when I do. There are also crunchy dog treats for your fur baby available for sale, which we are saving for our next visit with friends who have a dog. This place is full of gorgeous wedding cakes, as well as cupcakes, the latter of which we will need to review after we return at a later date to try them. There is a reason this shop won the 4th season of The Next Great Baker…you need to visit and see for yourself. Highly recommend this fantastic bakery!!“
