Dowds Catfish & BBQ Reviews
Food and service was just ok. Got a tea was charged 2.50 . It was so weak tasted like water. So got a Dr.Peper and was charged 2.99 for it. That is so overcharged I think that is wrong. One charge should have been enough. Told the floor Manger, she said o well. That's the way it is.
Very very delicious entrees, creamy corn Dowds sirloin melted in your mouth, catfish had a great batter on it, great service, will stop again when passing through
I'm a stickler for good ribs and these juicy bones were among the BEST. The rub is so tasty you don't need sauce. Sienna took great care of us -and our dogs- on the patio, plenty comfortable. Wonderful blackened chicken. A great discovery on a cross country trip!

Dowds Catfish & BBQ offers a variety of flavorful dishes, including excellent catfish, ribs, smoked turkey, brisket Philly, and BBQ nachos with generous portions. The fried catfish dinner is highly recommended, especially with potato wedges, and some customers also enjoy the clam boil. The new owner, a culinary graduate, has improved the quality of the BBQ, making smoked turkey, pork, and ribs stand out. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about allergens, and provides quick service, making it a good spot for a fast meal. However, the atmosphere is more suited for a quick, casual visit rather than a slow, relaxing night out, as everything tends to come out at once. Portions are large, and prices are reasonable. Some customers noted that the service check-ins are infrequent, and the timing of food delivery can feel rushed. Overall, Dowds Catfish & BBQ is a great place for tasty, satisfying meals in a friendly setting.
