“All I can say is WOW! My husband & I went here for the first time last Friday and from the moment we stepped it we had the best dining experience we’ve ever had in the Kansas City area. Our server was Kortney and she was nothing short of AMAZING. She was attentive and made sure we were happy with our experience. Our drinks were always refilled at the halfway point, she checked on us at all of the perfect times and it was clear she was on top of it! She was friendly, attentive, & provided some seriously top-notch service. We ordered the crap dip to start and oh my goodness it was so delicious we were tempted to order another or. The dip was overflowing the bowl and everything was so FRESH. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and he said it was literally melting in his mouth. I ordered the roots burger and was impressed that someone could take a cheeseburger & make it THAT GOOD. We will absolutely be back! From the atmosphere to the service to the food - EVERY single aspect exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this place enough!”

“AMAZING! I'm an east-coast guy living in the Midwest who's been looking for a great place for fresh seafood (sorry Red Lobster) for over 6 years. This diamond in the rough exceeded my expectations. While the majority of the US can't even find a place that serves King Crab (due to supply and demand escalated cost), I found a place that not only has it but has it at a very reasonable price. I had 1/2 lb King Crab, 1/2 lb Snow Crab, and 1/2 lb of shrimp. We must have been there for over an hour while I picked out every piece of crab meat. The way the dish came out was neat (I won't ruin the surprise). I also highly recommend the sweet potato fries. I would give this place a 6 out of 5 stars!”

“After Gojo's on the Plaza closed in 2020, I thought the Hibachi experience was lost for those of us in the SE parts of KC. And while I had seen Siki from the outside many times, it's exterior, location, and parking lot kind of prevented me from giving them a shot. But never judge a book by its cover, right? It was the spouse's birthday desire for Hibachi, so I made the reservation. Making a reservation was the best idea - otherwise you might not get in on a Friday or Saturday night. Our reservation was set for 6pm, and they seated us mostly on time, but then didn't take our drink or food order for several minutes. Is was a Saturday Night and it was packed, so I can overlook this part, but the timing comes back into play at the end. Once the show started, it was pretty darn good. Fresh food started being cooked on the Hibachi grill, knife and spatula skills were well honed. Food was prepared well. It was very pleasant. But because we got started late, the time to sit around, enjoy the food, and make conversation with those at the grill was truncated so they could seat the 7pm guests. Be aware, if you want Sushi, ask for the separate sushi menu. Also be prepared to drop $100-200. But, for the show and food quality, I would definitely go again.”

“I have to say 100 out of 10 starts!!!!! A friend asked me if ive ever been, said never heard of this place. Well i ordered the 3 meat 3 side platter, got the burnt ends, brisket and ribs with beans, slaw and jazzy fries. Only thing I didnt really like was the slaw but everything else hands down was AMAZING!!!! The burnt ends just melt in your mouth, that jazzy sauce is addictive and they have a really good honey mustard as well. Also got the friend mushrooms, they use portobello mushrooms and they are a 10 out of 10 with the in house made ranch...... I will be going back, and it has me wanting this place over Jack stack and I grew up on Jack stack.”

The outdoor seating In back is really nice if the weather permits. The bathrooms are very clean, but pretty dark. I was a little concerned for my son who has low vision.”

“We love coming to Shakin’. It is definitely a hidden gem. Sadly, tonight was a let down. We got here and there were several seats at the bar that we were told were supposedly “taken”. A large group came in and were told to take the seats. They were served quickly. We waited 15-20 minutes to even be acknowledged by the bar staff. Would have been nice to at least been welcomed and told be with you shortly. When the bartender finally made eye contact and came over, his excuse was “sorry, there’s only two of us!” We’ve been here when the place was packed and never experienced this service. We literally almost walked out. Miss the “old” bartenders who were attentive and quick to take care of customers.”

“My husband and I visited The Goat Brewing Co thanks to the 2025 KC Pub Pass, and it was such a fun stop. He ordered The Society Hefeweizen and loved its smooth, classic flavor, while I went for the Saints Delight — a lavender and hibiscus Berliner Weisse that was crisp, floral, and refreshingly tart without being too sour. We couldn’t resist the dessert pretzel sticks, and they were the perfect sweet-and-salty snack. The vibe here is fantastic — a welcoming patio with outdoor games, plus walls filled with KC history through old downtown photos. The bartender gave us great beer recommendations, and the owner (who was on-site) made us feel right at home. This place is full of charm, flavor, and friendly faces — we’ll absolutely be back!”

“We have visited twice for the Babies & Brunch event. We have enjoyed both equally and are so glad to have found an indoor play space and an opportunity to get our daughter around other kiddos her age! The Babies & Brunch event is for littles 2 and under which is great and allows an easy going and low stress environment for parents since there isn’t the worry of the little ones being trampled by bigger kiddos. They have a play area designated for smaller babies, but it’s so nice they have free range of the space during these events!”

“Excellent sushi! This was my first visit, but I've heard good things about this place. I had a 3-roll lunch special for $14 or $15, very economical. I also ordered 2 special rolls. The Yellowtail was good and the Spicy Tuna was some of the best I've had! The Tootsie had imi crab and shrimp w crunch, and was duper tasty! The Rainbow Roll was spectacular! Thick cuts of high-quality fish on a delicious crab salad roll. I think I will have 2 next time! The Volcano was amazing! If you like a variety of hot seafood dumped on a cold California Roll, you will enjoy this! The onion soup was good. I would normally prefer miso, but it was fun for a change. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasant, quiet setting with Japanese / Asian decorations. The menu also incuded Thai food, which I did not try. I will have to have some when I return. Hopefully it's as good as the sushi! The quality of everything was higher than average, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend Mint Sushi! I can't wait to come back!”

“Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. Great pastries, delicious food and drinks. However our most recent visit we were given peanut butter cake pops. They weren't labeled at all. My daughter with a peanut allergy realized it after 1 bite thank goodness and with some Benadryl she's fine. I called after to confirm flavor and was told flavors rotate and to always ask what they were. They're not obligated to label peanut products but it would be nice if they did since it's a high allergen food :( They didn't even ask if she was ok. If you have allergies I would make sure to always ask and double check here.”

I hope our next visit is a little better.”

My multi-meat was fantastic...... so rich that I'm glad it was a small pizza. So staff great; Atmosphere great; Food great.”

But they should communicate better on pick up times to manage expectations.”

There are efficient, friendly people waiting to take your order, not kiosks. The restaurant is spotless and well organized, and your food is brought to your table. They always repeat my order back, my drink is consistent and delicious, they remember my military discount every time and the team seems to mesh really well and the vibes are always good. Even when the line is long, wait time is only a couple minutes. The tight drive thru was renovated a couple years ago and it’s much easier to navigate now.”

“I will forever be grateful for the bartender that was on duty Saturday night, January 13th. My sister arrived via Amtrak, but because of the snow and extremely cold subzero temperatures was not able to get a cab. She was able to stay warm inside the bar until a family member picked her up. She was offered a warm drink and pizza and the bartender even went across the street and Rescued her luggage. 🧳 He went above and beyond. If their service to patrons is anything like their kindness to strangers, this bar deserves even more than five stars!!!!!”

I saw that a friend had eaten there and have been looking for good Chinese food in Lee’s Summit. This is good Chinese food.

I dined in and enjoyed the very hot Crab Rangoon and amazing sweet n sour sauce. It was thick! Loved that it wasn’t runny.

I ordered the Mongolian Pork, extra spicy with pork fried rice. Both were super hot and delicious. Very impressive! Loved the sauce and fresh veggies.

“I am pregnant and I was craving Jersey Mike’s really bad I kindly went into the building and asked a blonde lady that worked there if she could please toast my sandwich since I am pregnant, She told me that they didn’t do toast sandwiches, which was fine, but I did ask her if she could put the ham on the grill For a little bit so I can eat it She told me that she couldn’t cause it’s cross contamination but I saw she was cleaning the grill And was very rude about it . Thankfully, another coworker was working there and he was very nice. His name is Logan. He saw I was very distressed and upset because I couldn’t get the food that I was craving I asked him if he could please just make the sandwich separately and then put the toppings on the side so I could just toast the sandwich at home myself and then I could just put the toppings on For myself At home Cause I told him I was pregnant .. He kindly told me that he could put the ham on the grill because they already cleaned the grill anyways for me and filled my Satisfaction Of niceness and good costumer service And had a good kindness of heart that he cared that I’m pregnant tried his best to fill my needs.
