“We had them cater for our wedding and got nothing but compliments on the food. They were ready to serve as soon as we told them we were ready. We had five boxes of leftover catfish and chicken to take home at the end of the night. Very reasonably priced. We’ve been to other events they’ve catered as well and they never disappoint. Thank you again!“

“I have to say 100 out of 10 starts!!!!! A friend asked me if ive ever been, said never heard of this place. Well i ordered the 3 meat 3 side platter, got the burnt ends, brisket and ribs with beans, slaw and jazzy fries. Only thing I didnt really like was the slaw but everything else hands down was AMAZING!!!! The burnt ends just melt in your mouth, that jazzy sauce is addictive and they have a really good honey mustard as well. Also got the friend mushrooms, they use portobello mushrooms and they are a 10 out of 10 with the in house made ranch...... I will be going back, and it has me wanting this place over Jack stack and I grew up on Jack stack.“

“I visited Don Chuy's in Lee's Summit last week for the first time, I had combination fajitas that were well seasoned and generous portion of everything. Zion served me at the bar. Very quick friendly service. I went back today for taco Tuesday, served by Luis, who did a great job. I was greeted both times by the owner who was welcoming. I recommend this restaurant and will return soon.“

“7/2/25- it's been since beginning of civid since I last ate here. We popped in, I brought my service dog lucky and my friend who has never had food as good as theirs. Still my favorite Chinese food even after all these years and this place is still run by the same family. You guys are wonderful! Please don't ever go out of business 🙏
2020-My favorite place to order Chinese for the past 20 years. Only problem is when new cooks make things taste different than the usual cooks but its pretty rare this happens.“

“Our server jaylon was amazing! Quick service with just the right amount of check ins. i hate when it feels like a server is hovering but he came to our table at perfecf intervals. He made us feel comfortable and welcome. If i eat at this restaurant again i would love to have him again.“

“Great food, service, atmosphere, etc. Only complaint is that the server seemed to be rushing us as we were just getting into our salad and the entrees were already being served. She was ready for us to pay right after the entrees were delivered and we hadn't even really started eating those as we were trying to finish the salads. She had the bill on the table and hadn't given us time to consider ordering another drink or dessert. Everything was rushed. Would have preferred a more leisurely experience to really enjoy the food. Didn't like having to box everything up as we were given time to finish anything. The food was absolutely delicious though!“

“Canoe Club is an absolute gem—100% lake life vibes with some of the best food in KC! Perfect for happy hour and date night but also one of my VERY picky kids’ favorite restaurants. “Came in this evening with a party of 8 we had the best servers Marcus and Wally took great care of us the lobster ,shrimp,salmon was amazing . “I love Charlie D’s Seafood & Chicken East. We loved the Soulfood Sunday Brunch Buffet, the food was fresh and hot. And the server brought you out fresh hot fish. “A true South KC landmark — this spot is hands down my favorite fish place in all of Kansas City. I always get the bossa with red beans and rice, green beans, corn on the cob, sweet potato pie, greens, and cornbread — plus extra hot sauce and tartar sauce (a must!). “This place has really stepped up their game with the manager they have now. They must keep her she is absolutely awesome. Every time I have ordered the last three times I have gotten fresh food and everything is exceptional. The green beans are to die for. I'm going to start eating here more often since they finally got their stuff together and everyone else should try it too. Love this new manager I don't know if she's new or not but she's amazing“

“AMAZING! I'm an east-coast guy living in the Midwest who's been looking for a great place for fresh seafood (sorry Red Lobster) for over 6 years. This diamond in the rough exceeded my expectations. While the majority of the US can't even find a place that serves King Crab (due to supply and demand escalated cost), I found a place that not only has it but has it at a very reasonable price. I had 1/2 lb King Crab, 1/2 lb Snow Crab, and 1/2 lb of shrimp. We must have been there for over an hour while I picked out every piece of crab meat. The way the dish came out was neat (I won't ruin the surprise). I also highly recommend the sweet potato fries. I would give this place a 6 out of 5 stars!“
