“I got the carne asada and al pastor street tacos, as well as the elote preparado, and my partner got the hot cheetos burrito w carne asada. It was all incredible! I liked the carne asada the best, it was flavorful and the perfect texture. My partner loves spicy food and he said the Diablo sauce was very good. The owner also came to talk to us and she was very kind and friendly!“

“The food was delicious. My wife had the 6th street fajita taco, and she said it was the best she had ever had. I ordered the Carmen Burrito without the cheese to keep it vegan. The grilled sweet potatoes with their rice and black beans were spiced so perfectly. It also had other veggies. I asked to see if they sold their spice, but unfortunately, not. The chips and salsas are not the standard salsa. It is also delicious. All staff was very friendly, and our waitress, Emily, was very personable, engaging in good conversation. We also had a margarita and Paloma. The margarita was delicious, and my wife loved her Paloma. I'm not sure when we'll be back in St Louis, but when we do, we will definitely come back. It's within 3 miles of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the gardens, then relax here. We highly encourage everyone to visit this restaurant.Vegetarian options: The Carmen Burrito is vegetarian, and can be vegan by eliminating the cheese. There are other options.“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“Such a clever set up for a restaurant! You can order right from your seat online or you can see the counter inside. The food is fast and delicious, and also consistently good unlike some restaurants. We will definitely be back for dinner and drinks.“

“I was having a terrible day so I admit I put all my eggs in one basket hoping this place would make up for the rest, but it didn't and I know that's not fair so I will come back. The place was dead when we got there around 6pm. We ordered 2 pollo and 2 carne asada tacos, carne asada fries, and 2 horchatas coming out to around $43. I read a review comparing the carne asada fries to san diego's so I had to try since it's not the first time I had heard SD fry raves. I had lived in AZ where they were to die for so the bar was already set pretty high. The potatoes itself already gave me an OH YEAH feeling, not too heavy with the onion or cilantro, but felt it was missing something. I should've had cheese. I did get guacamole salsa- too spicy to enjoy the guacamole portion for my liking, but it might be good for some! The horchata just needed some more mixing as there was a lot of cinnamon in our servings. (This is probably the 78th serving of horchata i've had in my life, I promise I know what good horchata is for me.) Service was good! The man who checked us out was nice. The guy in the back called my name and pronounced it in a way I had never heard before. I will never forget it lol I'll need to come back and try their paletas and elotes!“

“I’ve been here quite a few times, the food and drink are great and so is the service. The only qualm I have is with the rationing of the napkins? You don’t get any at the table, and when you ask they give you 2-3 napkins. I ordered churros to go (so good btw) and was given ice cream in a bag with no spoon. This isn’t going to stop my patronage of this establishment but geez“

“Just decided to try this place, one of us on a diet and one of us loves fajitas. So far, the salsa That's a hit. Just spicy enough and not so spicy to require a beverage right away. Not heavy on onion(yay) and the jalapeño in the recipe is perfection. My husband ordered the chicken fajita. Looked like fun! It was a hit! So was the angus beef, taco salad! Both dogs she's were very generous on the amount of meat. We will return. Service was friendly. Communication regarding food allergies was difficult. The food was delivered by a different person than the one who took the order. The beans are very good, as is the guacamole! I will be craving the salsa.“

“Ordered a carne asada burrito, chicken burrito, chips and queso, and two margaritas (strawberry and regular). Everything was fantastic. Burritos are huge, queso and chips just how I like them and margaritas were very tasty. There tomatillo salsa had just the right balance of flavor and heat. The team was very friendly and efficient. I’m definitely going back . . . often!“

“Do not overlook this gem. It's behind Northwest Plaza in a strip mall. Chips and salsa aren't included with the meal, but I actually liked that you had to order them. Some of the best salsa I've had with chips in a while. Ordered 3 of their street tacos, with cochinita pibil being the winner, although the tacos al pastor were a close second.“

“Went here with some friends recently as a buddy of mine who lived in Cali for a few years said this place has some of the most authentic true Mexican cuisine in St. Louis. The Birria Tacos are absolutely incredible. Rich, flavorful, and you can tell the chefs here know what they're doing. Bit pricier than your "cheap eats" Mexican most Midwesterners are accustomed to, but it's really good. Worth noting, the chips here are not complimentary outside happy hour. So don't go here expecting "El Maguey" or your other typical copy & paste Mexican restaurants, this is not like those places.“

“Really nice place inside. Don't know what the bar looked like because we didn't go in. I have heard people say that it's pricey and of course it is because this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The menu is small plate oriented and the menu ismore like a tasting menu. The food is higher end than all the other places and outstanding. I can't comment on their drink menu because I seldom drink when going out. I will say that the pricing seem to be a bit higher than most places which will account for a higher per person ticket if one has two or three drinks. Still, our total was $70 ore tip for 2 people including 2 beers. The wait time between "courses" is a bit long but not enough for me to really complain about. The staff were friendly dmv knowledgeable about the menu. It may not me a place we'll go to monthly but we will definitely be back!“

“Went there last night for the first time. OMG. I am an avid lover of Mexican food and I have to say this was the best Mexican food I've had since I've been in Missouri. Melissa's green chili is fire?. The food was wonderful. Everything was so fresh. Her Guacamole is to die for. Jumbo Margaritas actually had alcohol in them. The sopapilla was top of the line. Everything was amazing. You gotta try this place. Prices, food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Way to go Melissa. We will definitely be back.“

“My new favorite Mexican restaurant in St Louis. very courteous service, everything tasted fresh, portions are ridiculously generous! My son's kid's meal was as big as a regular meal in most other restaurants, and I could only finish half of mine even though it was so good, and I normally eat a lot.“

“We arrived to a full house and we were a party of 6. Immediately behind us was a party of 10. We found out there was only 2 servers on staff and were super concerned. I ordered the Enchiladas Mexicana and I'm telling you it was one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever had. And the service? Nothing less than AMAZING!“

“Thrilled that we found this hidden gem on South Grand. Our meal started with chips and guacamole. The guacamole comes with or without jalapeños and we did without. Great flavor and texture with small pieces of tomato. I had the quesabirria and the were amazing! They were filled with tender pieces of beef, onions and cilantro. My husband had the tamales and they were fantastic too! The restaurant is very clean and staff are warm and welcoming.“

“Available for dine in, carry out and on Uber eats. Delicious authentic steet tacos with varying protein options. Nothing vegan sorry. But you can do no meat and get a quesadilla or torte w just cheese for vegetarian. I've tried almost all the meats. The lengua is soooo good if you're feeling adventurous. Tacos, tortes and quesadilla all delicious. Would rate higher if I could. Best stop in the city for tacos.“

“Had a great experience around 6:30pm on Friday night. It was pretty busy with a line to the door, however, the only reason the wait seemed long was because I was hungry and the menu looked so good! When we got to the front counter we were greeted by a nice, very hard working female. Food came quick after we ordered! My husband and I shared the Locoz fries with asada. This was my personal favorite. The fries were nice and crispy (not soggy at all). I loved the pico on the fries as well as their special sauce! Great ratio of steak, cheese, sauce, pico, etc. we also shared three gringo tacos (tinga, pastor, Camaron). My favorite was the pastor and my husband's favorite was the camaron which is shrimp. Beware, these tacos are messy ! Grab lots of napkins. The last thing we ordered was a side of esquites. It wasn't my favorite version of esquites but it was pretty tasty. I think next time I would have topped my tacos with it or tried a different side Next time I want to try either a quesadilla or burrito. They looks AMAZING!! Both big and cheesy!! They also have bottled drinks. I'm not a big beverage fan but this always excites my husband. He got a grapefruit Jarrito (picture of the beverage menu are listed with a picture of the cooler) Parking was hard on a Friday night. We parked across the street in the schnucks parking lot but there is also street parking“

“Always good.. Nice servers.Update. They ave changed since the pandemic. The food doesn' taste the same and the prices, like everywhere else have escalated.Service is still good, except when I hand you my card, hand it back to me.When you put my card on the counter versus handing it back to me is disrespectful.“

“Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“

It's Brioche soaked in horchata. It's a different take on French toast but good.Several other members of our party enjoyed quesadillas and loved them.“

“Ordered to go for the first time. This place is so good, i was able to order SO much food for under $30. The only thing i didnt care for were the type of chips they use. They were too hard in my opinion, im more of a fan of thinner fried chips. Definitely will be ordering here again soon.“

“Mission Taco Joint did not disappoint! My son and I were in from Chicago for a soccer tournament and decided to try it out. We started with the Carne Asada Steak Fries and OMG! The meat was cooked to perfection. We then picked out some tacos to share. I have to say these are some of the best tacos I have ever eaten. My absolute favorites were the Chicken BBQ and the BLT. These 2 are a must try. The sides We ordered were street corn and the cilantro lime rice and they were right up there with everything. The service was great too! Sangria...YUM. “The *best* neighborhood Mexican restaurant in St. Louis. Amazing cuisine, fast and friendly service, great value and the best margaritas in Rock Hill! My husband and I have been going to El Indio since the doors opened nearly 15 years ago and watched it grow into the successful restaurant it is today. It’s no wonder why it is such a gem in Rock Hill! Make El Indio your next night out. Order a pitcher of margaritas on the rocks, share among friends & family and discover what the rest of us already know and love!“

“We visited on a busy night and started at the bar while we waited for a table. The house margaritas are ok, but the Cadillac are much better. The foot was on point - and ask for the hot salsa (red) not green. It was some of the best I've had in Missouri. Next time I'll try the green too.Even the chips and salsa were amazing. It's our new favorite spot in St. Charles!“

“Don't let the outside fool you. Looks like every other strip mall restaurant until you walk in the doors. They killed it with the decor! I love the giant paintings, chandeliers, lighting, and wood on the booths. We were sat right away. I ordered a watermelon. Margarita and my husband ordered a beer. Our waiter came back promptly with our drinks. I took a sip of mine, and it tasted more like orange. When the waiter came back, I told him that I ordered a watermelon Margarita, and I'm not quite sure what this is. He tells me that the watermelon margaritas don't really taste like watermelon. I'm sure he could see the confusion on my face. He asked if he could take it back and make me different one. I didn't want to be wasteful, so I just asked him for little bit of the raspberry syrup. I poured that in and stirred it up. I was delighted to find out that the raspberry taste like raspberry. The choriqueso came out quickly and it was delicious. Our entrées came out as we were finishing the appetizer, perfect timing. I had the fried chicken tacos, they were amazing. My husband had the traditional chicken tacos, he love them. My kiddo had the chicken taco and she loved it as well. I ordered a second round of drinks. Raspberry margarita was fantastic. I was pretty lit after the second margarita, so be careful with those. All in all we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back soon!“

“Authentically Mexican! The outside of the restaurant looks shady, the sign is is a spray painted board and there is a boarded up window. But, all staff and customers I saw seemed hispanic. I felt like I was able to have an authentic experience with the food I ordered!“

“This is a great place for tacos and tortas. Sometimes on Fridays they have an enchilada special which is so good. I love their refried beans the most. They have green and red (orange-ish) salsa in squeeze bottles. The people here are kind and it's always friendly. It's not fancy, but it always hits the spot and I'm never disappointed. It's attached to a small grocery and on the side of the plaza, so a bit of diligence to find it.“

“Had been at the art museum with my sisters. We were looking for a place for lunch. Your place was so bright and comforting looking. We chose your restaurant. The service was excellent from the minute we walked in the door. We were greeted by his very sweet young lady . And we had a very sweet server she helped us with things that we did wasn't sure what it was on the menu. She spoke very good English. Us three sisters really enjoyed our lunch and enjoy the atmosphere. You are a very big building we didn't realize how big you were. Till we got ready to leave. We noticed the bag dining room. When we parked out front. There is only two people in the outside garden. When we came out the whole outside patio was full. It was just a sweet hometown feeling there. And I thank you for making the rest of our day together. Us three senior citizen sisters ? be such a blessing. And I will be returning I have not stopped talking about your restaurant since I've been there. Spreading the word. Cuz the food was so delicious. Thank you again for the kind service“

“I have never had Honduran food before visiting Sueño and let me just say...shoutout to the people of Honduras because your food is incredible! I started off with a drink and I ordered the strawberry margarita. Sueño uses a fresh strawberry puree that they make in house and it was literally the best margarita that I've ever had. It was so good that I ordered two of them. lol For my entree, I ordered the Pollo Con Tajadas. It's also known as Pollo Chuco which means 'chicken with slices'. The entrée is made with fried plantains topped with fried chicken, cabbage salad, pico de Gallo salad, onions, and sauces. It was so flavorful and filling! There was nothing but crumbs left by the time I was done eating. lol I will most definitely be coming back to try some other items on the Sueño menu.“
