I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! “Their online ordering site says they have curbside pickup and I parked out front where several signs indicate the number to text for curbside pickup. The response received indicated their pick up staff have been cut and I should come in to get my order. I would not have ordered had I known curbside pickup was unavailable. I called and told a staff member I couldn't come in and requested a refund. She asked me what type car I had and said she would send the order out. It took more than 15 minutes and a second phone call before they brought it out. (Another car pulled up during this time and received curbside delivery while I still waited.)“

“Randomly picked a non-chain pizza place and Eni's was the winner. Surprisingly they are a hybrid pizzeria & Mexican joint. Super clean! Friendly staff! Super yummy food! Of course we tried the fire roasted pizza, but I did choose an infusion by getting the Pastor Pizza. Definitely coming back to try the Mexican meals too.“

“I have had a lot of food from Loafers over the past few years but never had enough information to write a review! They serve a more cafe-style menu during lunch, offering amazing soups, sandwiches and salads. I have eaten lunch at Loafers many times and loved every experience. During dinner service, they serve their amazing pizzas, which I only got to experience for the first time recently. We went with another couple and ended up getting their spinach pizza and their seasonal pizza, which had far too many elements to name. Both pizzas were amazing. The service was great, though they did seem to want to turn the table quickly, understandably, as they are quite busy constantly. Highly recommend this space, as it is not unreasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food and service you receive.“

“I've heard Blackthorn was the place to go in St. Louis for deep dish pizza. I was not misled! I went for dinner with my cousin and his wife. We got a 16" deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. It was phenomenal! The cheese pull on this thing was ridiculous, so cheesy! Two pieces ko'd me. The crust was perfect! Crispy on the bottom and soft and fluffy directly under the toppings. Perfect for a fork and knife. I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza, and this will be my go to from now on! Highly recommend!“

“I used live in Mississippi and I would drive up from Mississippi just to get Faraci pizza and I liked all of their pizzas and salad. All of Faraci’s food on their menu was yummy. That I live in the lake of the Ozarks it’s a lot closer for me and I would drive up and order pizzas And bring them back. The Faraci special, the hamburger bacon, and the pepperoni and pineapple or my favorites but I will eat just about anything from that restaurant. Prices are reasonable and if you don’t think they are, that’s not faraci fault , that’s is JB fault.“

“I was host to approximately 30 to 35 professional people for an evening. The food was unbelievably delicious; and Taylor attended to us flawlessly. She never missed a beat and got it all right. The atmosphere was great in spite of it being a memorial service. There was a second table almost as large as ours, and there was plenty of room to spare. I had shopped around a few places; none of them seemed compatible for my needs. Mitch was the mgr., and he was great as well. He had asked several times how everything was. You pick your size, your base sauce, your toppings and it bakes. If you're in a rush, order ahead, otherwise you're waiting for the pizza to bake. All around, great experience.“
