“Great donuts! A coworker brings donuts to the office every Thursday and this week she changed from the usual donut shop and brought a box from Baxter's instead. All the donuts we got were yeast donuts. I tried a glazed twist, cinnamon sugar twist, vanilla frosted long John, and a German chocolate long John. The German Chocolate donut was delicious! I've seen this type as a cake donut before, but never as a yeast donut. By the time I got to the office there was 1/3 of a German chocolate left, so I'm assuming it was a long John or large bar shaped donut. I would definitely get this again. I had a couple bites of the glazed twist and sugar twist throughout the day and really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar twist. I did notice that these were pretty dried out by the end of the day, though, as people cut bites off of them throughout the day. The vanilla iced long John (white icing) is not something I've tried before, but there was a whole one left at the end of the day, so I took it home for dessert. Even though it hadn't been cut into at all, it was starting to get a bit dry and stiff by 8pm at night, so these are definitely best eaten as soon as possible. If you're a fan of coconut, try the German chocolate!“
“I've been twice so far and both times I have been more than happy with the speed & quality of service, the selection available, and the quality & freshness of the food. I've tried the glazed donuts, pine cone, jalapeño sausage roll, and combination breakfast burrito so far and all were delicious. Can't wait to try everything else!“
“I grew up eating Lamar donuts at the original spot on lindwood in Kansas City Mo. I remember walking in and noticing this guy who was so nice selling the donuts. After you gone in so many times he knew your favs and wouldn't even ask you what you wanted. Then you open your bag and your favs are in the bag plus half dozen of glaze donut holes. Next time I go in I say I don't want any holes in my bag today I need to lose weight Mr. Lamar's would say you shouldn't have come in here look at me. We both bust out laughing. I love the glaze but my favs now are the blue berry cake donuts, apple spice or sometimes it's just the plain cake with a cup of coffee the way my grand mother would love to eat LaMars.“
“If this doughnut shop were a book, it would be a tale of surprises with a sprinkle of delicious plot twists. From the outside, it's like Clark Kent in doughnut form—unassuming. But step inside, and boom! It's a doughnut superhero lair. The place might be tiny, but it's like a TARDIS, packing flavor that transcends dimensions. The doughnuts are so good; I suspect they've made a deal with sugar fairies. I'd recommend this spot even to my dentist – it's worth the risk of future cavities.“
