“honestly we didn’t have a good experience when we tried this restaurant BUT after waiting an hour and a half and still not getting our food, we informed the manager that we were leaving. she handled the situation very very well!! she apologized and insisted that we take our food to go for free. as we were walking out, she rushed to box our food. She gave us our food for free plus two gift certificates. we ate the food on our long drive home and it was EXCELLENT!!!! We will definitely be giving it a second chance. Kuddos to the manager for turning this around! Update: i also sent this same review/ message to the restaurant. The owner promptly responded with a very professional response. Again, this is how you run a business! Everyone makes mistakes, but how this business responded was top notch!“

“I discovered Top of the Marq in June when a friend took us there. I have been back several times including my birthday 4 weeks ago. I really like this place especially for the atmosphere. The food jd excellent. Last time I had the 16 oz garlic ribeye steak. I took half of it home.“

“Nadine was our waitress. She did an excellent job! I have celiac disease and she was quick to answer any questions we had about their menu items. I had the gluten free bun on the bacon jam burger. 10/10!!!! My husband had the Irish sausage with mashed potatoes and gravy 9/10. Great food and service. Thanks Nadine!!!“

“Nice place to get some good Mexican food late at night, unlike Taco Bell! The staff is quite nice and the location is well lit as the drive thru is a little odd to navigate safely. While there, try the Horchata rice drink. You will love it, I know I do.“

Excellent service from Server Grace, very attentive and swift to refill my drink
Gorgeous presentation of Sashimi from both Sushi Chefs at the Sushi bar, kudos for them putting their hearts into every meal.
Extremely satisfied with this visit.
You really should try their sushis and sashimis if you are in Cape Girardeau.

“I ordered online for pickup to make sure everything would be right, but unfortunately both of my burgers were made incorrectly. I even paid extra for bacon and only got it on one of them. I used the online system specifically to avoid issues like this, so it was disappointing to see mistakes still happen.
That said, the burgers I did get were still really tasty!! I also understand I came at a busy time!“

“This is 'the' NY Style chinese take-out spot in Cape Girardeau.
Located in Central Cape-Girardeau, this unassuming spot delivers -consistency-.
The ingredients are fresh. The bell peppers, carrots, and green beans are all bright in color.
The kitchen is quick (around 10 minutes for a to-go order for two)
The vegetables are always cooked al-dente and kept crisp, not cooked into oblivion.
We've had
Beef and Broccoli, Spicy Beef, Szechuan Chicken, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, and Dumpling Soup.
We've been to every Chinese take-out spot in Cape Girardeau, this one for me is the most consistent and closest to what you'll expect for NY style takeout.
The atmosphere is typical Chinese NY Take-out spot. Frenetic Pace, open concept with a fully visible kitchen and a dated overhead 'backlit' paper menu.

“hella kind, friendly, & absolutely caring & over the top servers & I can say that bc I have witnessed it as well as can vouch for being one of them myself. our servers go above & beyond for our customers bc making sure their visit was over the top satisfactory & that they leave with a smile when walking out the door promising that they will be back is what our servers thrive for with every single person that enters our doors. the food is amazing, fast, cheap, & the food preparation is always clean & on point. don't get me wrong, when we as a staff make mistakes we have no issue owning up to it & doing everything we possibly can to be able to fix the wrongful situation by any means necessary bc we never want someone to walk out those doors unhappy about their services they received all around as a whole complete store/staff.“

“I've picked up at the drive-thru here 3 times in the past two months. I've ordered the Eggplant with Shrimp, Moo Goo Gai Pan with Chicken, and the Black Bean Sauce Combination. All three times, the food has been delicious and served with tons of veggies and rice - enough for two meals for me! I've also had their Egg Drop soup and Sweet & Sour Soup; both were excellent. The service is so friendly, the food is piping hot to order, and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.“
