If you want an authentic Chinese food fair, this is the place! This restaurant offers authentic Chinese Chao Zhou cuisine which is the only one in St. Louis. The dishes are prepared with authentic spices and flavors. Don’t be confused if you can’t find the price for the dishes, just ask the owner and they will tell you. Very good food. Some reviews are about price. I found prices to be in line with other restaurants, if not better. Just ask if you have concerns. I am an authenticity first kind of person and I found their food to be the most authentic southern style Chinese food I've had in STL. Go here if you like home cooking and hole in the wall style. I can't recommend enough!
Don't let the shabby appearance scare you away. And yes, it's a little expensive. But the food is legit. I grew up in San Francisco, and in my opinion, this is better than most of the Chinese places there. Very traditional and authentic. Get the Chao Zhou roast duck and the other items on the menu with the chef recommendations.
