My fiancé and I were out and about. We were a little hungry and wanted something quick to eat. We looked up places close and came across this place. Of course we read the reviews and when I tell you they did not lie. OMG! The food here was good as hell! Don't let the appearance fool you. They know what they're doing in that kitchen!
This place has a special place in my life being that my dad is from the area. We visit every time and this hole in the wall has it all. I suggest you visit during the day due to the area, and go with a group of friends for safety purposes but let's get to the food. I usually order some St. Paul Sandwich and a fried rice every time! The best Fried Rice in STL. It's dark and flavorful. This time I went and tried the happybox. Yes it was heavy and too much And yes it was a flavor bomb! You can definitely share this one. I lived in STL for over 30 years and this is my fav fried rice for sure! My parens who are native St Louisans as well and grew up on the North side agree.
