Harold's Chop Suey Reviews
Great fried rice! Parking is a tough situation and there is not a lot of room for waiting inside. However, all of our order was hot, fresh, and delicious. Harold's Chop Suey has seen some changes recently, according to customer reviews. The fried rice is praised for its dark, flavorful taste and generous portions with meat. The shrimp are fresh and well-cleaned, and the hot braised chicken is considered delicious. The St. Paul sandwiches are also highly recommended, especially when seasoned just right. Customers have enjoyed the catfish platter, finding it satisfying. Despite these positives, some reviews mention issues with the rice sometimes having a nasty aftertaste and containing unexpected meat. The chicken wings have been described as undercooked at times, and there are mixed feelings about the St. Paul's. The restaurant is still a favorite for fried rice and good eats, and the owners are appreciated for their responsiveness. One reviewer shared that the food was amazingly good and authentic, and even though they waited 45 minutes and felt a bit unsafe due to some customers joking around and eyeing them, the staff's kindness made the wait worthwhile. Overall, Harold's Chop Suey offers a unique dining experience with both positive and negative aspects, but many customers consider it their go-to Chinese place.
