“Walking into what looks from the outside to be a tiny, intimate place, the expectation was high. Dark interior is elegant and the drink and food menu seemed quite good. That is until the food arrived. While salad was very good with fresh ingredients, everything else, from spaghetti with meatballs, deviled eggs, to calamari, they were with overcooked, lacked flavor, or simply wrong. Pasta should be more al dente while meatballs should be, well, meatballs instead of weirdly shaped salty ground beef. Deviled eggs shouldn’t taste chalky (that said, it was better as a cold leftover). And calamari would’ve been a better dish as grilled, not deep fried fast food. Given its excellent service and classy ambiance, let’s hope they figure out how to enhance their food situation.“

“This was our first time eating at Osteria Bianchi in Kansas City and it won’t be our last! We went to celebrate my wife earning her PhD and it was a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in to the time we left! The food was delicious and the waitress and the staff were incredible. But backstory, my mom just passed away a week and a half ago and we’ve been on the struggle bus and our server was so incredibly kind to us and there was a magician they hired walking around doing tricks for tables. He was not only amazing and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing but more importantly, he brought us joy to us in a dark time and I will forever be such a fan of this restaurant. “I never expected to find such a gem scrolling for breakfast on google. Their breakfast menu brings a beautiful blend of culinary fine dining with home style comfort food. The owners are so kind and genuine quick to strike up a conversation. And their house made chai tea is absolutely to die for, I will definitely be back time and time again for that alone. *It’s unclear which instructions to use for stuffed CRUST pizza as it’s neither regular pizza nor stuffed pizza. We had to guess and our guess was wrong so we had to cook it longer, twice, while the rest of the food was getting cold.

“I gave it 5 stars because nothing was bad. It was great pizza, but it’s not the best I’ve ever had. It’s an interesting crust. Sort of thin, sort of not. Almost kind of thinner focaccia style. Hard to explain but it’s unique yet good. Certainly a Midwest Kansas City specific style. I’d give it an 8 out of 10. I don’t live here, but I’d probably order it every once in a while if I did. One odd thing is the pepperoni is under the cheese. I like the pepperoni on top so it crisps up.“

The store is easy to find and access. It was clean and the atmosphere was okay. The staff was not friendly. They were not rude but felt more like an assembly line than genuine enthusiasm for me as a paying customer.“
