“City Coffee House & Creperie is a great place to escape, the vibe is that of a hidden cafe. The food is always great, I love their lemon curd crepe, opted for the waffle this time to celebrate National Pancake Day (a waffle is just a pancake with cups to hold the syrup I’ve been told). “First time and not the last time we dine here, God willing! 🙏🏼♥️🏁 Very busy place, but fantastic service, food, and experience! Josh answered the phone and was so helpful, friendly and welcoming! When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. Looking forward to sharing this spot with some more loved ones 🙏🏼♥️🏁“

I don't like the ipads with the built in tips that they shove in your face.
The electronic tipping should be an extra screen that you navigate to when you want. The tip shouldn't be a maze of buttons to navigate just to pay.
I paid with a card and handed them a dollar.
They get busier than SB's.

“Living Room has THE best coffee and breakfast in St. Louis. But that’s just what gets you in the door. What keeps you coming back are the amazing staff, inviting vibes, excellent work stations (for those of us who wfh but need to have people around), and community engagement. Seriously, they have the best cortados, seasonal drinks, and bacon. But they are also vegetarian and vegan friendly and have a great selection of teas and other drinks for weirdos who don’t drink coffee. I love knowing that visiting LR means my money is going to a family-owned small business who invest in their community and put people over profit. 10/10.“

“I went to this coffee shop a few times while visiting St Louis. I was so impressed. The “Chilly Goat” Mocha was the best cold coffee drink I’ve ever had. “This is very much a classic busy office coffee shop that actually does good coffee. The barista’s are fantastic. I travel for work and I’m not here every day. But when I come back after a month or two, they still remember my name and some of them still remember my drink. They are quick, they are nice, and the food and coffee are both amazing.“

All told: I’d go back. Comfortable spot, good coffee, minimal drama. Just maybe don’t expect the coffee gods to deliver your order via lightning bolt.“

“On July 12, got two orders of the hot honey chicken tender sandwich. They were overcooked and were hard and dried out. The last time I had them, they were cooked just right and very tender. Lately, I feel it is hit or miss.“

“A small and wonderful Boba Tea cafe with smoothies, coffees, sparkling juice sodas, bingsu shaved ice desserts and more! They have games to play in the cafe. Everything can be customized on the order screen- type of milk, how much ice, variety of boba, sweetness level and more. Just tried their chocolate bingsu— amazing! And seasonal hot coffee was great.“

“Upshot Coffee at Waypoint Church is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing—perfect for getting work done, meeting up with friends, or just taking a breather. The service is always excellent, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty good too, but the real standout is the coffee. It’s always on point!

My go-to order is the vanilla iced almond milk latte, and they nail it every time. If you’re looking for a new spot to try, this one definitely deserves a visit.
