“I went a few hours before close. I had a quite large order. I was impressed with the accuracy of such a large and customized order but they got every single thing correct and nothing was missing or made the wrong way. The attitude of the staff however I was not impressed with as they were a bit snobbish and rude. Maybe due to a big order but regardless shouldn't be treating people like that. Or asking after every item ordered if thats all as if it was bothering them. The time it took from ordering to receiving our food was good though I will say. Not a bad experience.“

“We came to Springfield from Sapulpa, Oklahoma and came across this place. omg. I'm originally from San Diego, and let me just say, it's just like being back in San Diego. The fish tacos were spot on. My wife had cheese enchiladas and said they, with the red sauce, ate the best she's ever had. Kudos to everyone there for doing Cali-Mex perfectly.“

“This location keeps up with the nostalgic Springfield Mexican Villa. The food is piping hot and delicious. The waitress was quick to attend our table and never let our drinks get too low. The guacamole was really good as well as the hot & sweet sauces. I would definitely recommend the burrito enchilada style & Chimichanga.“

“I always order the same thing from Mexican Villa South Campbell, and I usually get it to go, even if I’m dining there. Today I ordered my usual to-go order, and they were busy doing something behind the counter. The young lady let me know she would get to me in just a second, and I told her no problem—I wasn’t in any hurry.

A gentleman who appeared to be a manager came back up and said they would get with me, then made sure someone took my order. He even said, “It’s important to us,” and that really stood out to me. It honestly wasn’t necessary because I was perfectly fine waiting, but I really appreciated that level of customer service. It made me feel like my business mattered.

Unfortunately, when I got home, I noticed that the half-order of guacamole I had ordered was already turning a darker color and tasted like it was starting to go bad. I live about five minutes from this location, so once I’m home, I’m not going to turn around and drive back to exchange a side item. This is especially important with to-go orders because customers don’t have the opportunity to catch these things and have them replaced while they’re still at the restaurant.

I will say that they rarely mess up my order, which is why this isn’t going to be a horrible review. I really like Mexican Villa and will continue ordering from them, but they definitely need to make sure everything is fresh and up to par before sending it out, especially on to-go orders. Overall, the customer service today really impressed me, but the guacamole was a definite miss.“
