“The restaurant is very cozy. Yia Yia and Papou always come out of the kitchen and greet their guests. They truly treat you like family. I came alone today. Usually come here with my husband. I started with a cup of soup of the day, had the roasted chicken with lemon potatoes as entree, and finished with a slice of lemoncello cake with coffee. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 yrs. Dined all of this wonderful country. Yia Yai’s has become one of my top 5 places to dine. Service is impeccable and the cuisine is so authentic and on point. It’s cold outside so it was a hard decision to make over choosing the roasted chicken or the Moussaka that has a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Sat in the back booth and throughly enjoyed my lunch. Thank you to all the staff at Yia Yia’s for bringing such an incredible environment to the Flowood area!”

“Buongiorno, Great Italian Ristorante, I should know, I'm Italian, Better yet is the service provided by Sarah and Michelle. The first six times I ate there I only had the Chicken Alfredo. It was that good. Five Stars all the way!”

“My brother ordered fish this week & last week it was superb both times because he always asked for the total & for me to have a piece of his hot 2 whole catfish it's enough for me to get a portion. It's always seasoned right each piece fresh & temperature right after the distance that's why last week I made it by there 4 times this twice. Mr. Harvey fish is always the choice for fish. My mom always loved to stop on her way from the doctor visits that's been over 20 years ago. The establishment specializes in frying fish. I have been to the catering it's
also awesome continue ur superb frying ur fish.”

“My husband and I got the SG pasta and a boil bag with snow crab added. My husband's boil bag was missing corn and potatoes. Called to let Rose know and she was nice and offered for us to either come back to grab after closing time or credit for the next visit. We're closer to the Flowood location, so we chose the credit. Pasta was filled with crawfish and shrimp. My husband enjoyed the boil bag. He said the lemon pepper sauce was good!”

“Cups in Crossgates is open rain, hail, sleet, or snow. While the rest of Mississippi is shut down due to some rain these folks are keeping the coffee brewing. In a world of safe spaces, and cry babies atleast Cups has a no fear brew.”

“We were in town for an event and stopped in for lunch. Loved the seating upstairs! Pizza was great, cheesy bread was fabulous! Be sure to get the ranch because it made the entire meal. 10/10 would come back if we’re in the area again!

“This is a great place and as is often the case, it was packed with hungry diners today. However, it didn't take long at all to get seated and get our food as they are accustomed to many people coming to the restaurant. The food is always wonderful, the owners are great people, and the customers are smiling from the atmosphere and having full and satisfied stomachs! By the way, I had the Philly Steak PoBoy and tater tots which I can highly recommend, but all the food is hot and delicious!”

“Panchos Cantina in Brandon deserves all the hype and then some. We stopped in for dinner and were blown away from the moment the food hit the table. The carnitas came out sizzling on a cast-iron skillet piled high with tender, juicy pork and sweet grilled onions. It was the kind of portion that makes you stop and stare for a second before digging in. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Honestly, this might be my new go-to carnitas spot in Mississippi.

The sides were just as delicious. The rice was seasoned perfectly, the refried beans were creamy with that melted cheese on top, and the fresh lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole rounded everything out. Even the grilled jalapeños were incredible. Everything tasted homemade and came out piping hot.

We also tried the street-style tacos, and those didn’t disappoint either. Packed with meat and onions and served with beans, rice, and sauces, they were a whole meal on their own. Generous portions all around, and everything looked as good as it tasted.

On top of the food, Panchos had live music going, which gave the whole place such a fun, upbeat atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great music, and friendly service. It felt like the kind of night out you want to repeat.

“Great ice cream. However, when I ordered online so I wouldn’t have to wait on my $30 order, I still had to wait for it to be prepared even though I was 15 minutes after it said it would be ready. I was also charged a 4% takeout fee. I didn’t realize I could eat inside the building.”

“I've searched high and low for a keto/diabetic-friendly place to get cold drinks completely sugar-free. I finally hit the jackpot. My favorite go-to is a collagen base with added flavoring of strawberry, orange and pineapple sweetened only with stevia, plus sugar-free boba!!! It's so good, I can't get enough. The owner was happy to accommodate me, helping me customize my drinks, keeping them true to my very strict dietary guidelines. The employees are cheerful and polite. It's a cute shop with some seating available for those who like to cafe chat and relax.”

“We showed up tonight with 9 middle school girls, and three adults, and there was only one young man working. He was so wonderful and worked very quickly preparing all of our orders. The drive-through was really busy the whole time that we were there. He had the best attitude, and never seemed overwhelmed, or frustrated. I hope he is recognized for his excellent customer service and excellent work ethic.”

“Ive been going to this place since I was little, would go every Sunday before Sunday school / Church with my Grandma and this is hands down still my favorite places to go to. While the bakers (the older couple) dont do a whole lot of interacting with customers, they are still very kind, and for the cashier, he is very chill and relatable. I love the different colored donuts and their sausage, egg and cheese biscuit.”

“We’ve lived in Crossgates for a good while now and have been sleeping on Bonfire Grill. This place beats OEC AND Ichiban (in our opinion). Super clean, fresh hot food, quick service and the super sweet lady at the register made our first visit nothing less than perfection. We have a new fave. Go check them out!”

“471 Nutrition is AMAZING!! The owners are AMAZING!! The staff is AMAZING!! The teas are AMAZING!! Have I said AMAZING enough?? They are easily accessible, prompt, and the staff is incredibly friendly, and it’s not that fake “I have to be friendly because it’s my job”, they give off that genuine friendly energy that you don’t find in most places! They open earlier than any of the other tea shops in town and that is so convenient for those of us that have to be at work a little earlier than others! I usually don’t even leave reviews but I had to in this case! So glad to have 471 Nutrition in town!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about the staff—they were incredibly kind, helpful, and hardworking. multitasking constantly, I never once saw anyone on their phone—they were fully focused on doing their jobs, and doing them well. If you were working the night shift around 5:30–6:30, thank you for your dedication and kindness! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The broccoli and rice casserole was packed with flavor, the Mexican cornbread was phenomenal, and the chicken on a stick was hot, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!”

“The fried pickled okra was horrible. Almost too tough to eat and didn't taste anything like okra. Tasted like a tough pickle. Rant over!! On the plus side, other food was good. Service and ambiance made it worth trying again next time we're in the area. Cajun redfish was a 3 out of 5. The bread to fish ratio was off and barely had any sauce. Has great potential”

“Now, I’m not the one to leave bad comments, but now, on Oct 14, 2023, I visited the Brandon store and got in the mobile line and didn’t know there were 2 separate lines only to get to the attendant and was told that I had to circle back around and get in the drive thru line because, I can’t take drive thru orders in this line. Well, I circled the building and made sure I got in the drive thru line with a customer in front of me having mobile app issues that should have been in the mobile line. The same attendant that told me to circle the building came from the mobile line and took the order of the customer. Once that attendant was done with that customer I questioned the fact why my order couldn’t be taken from the mobile line when I was in it like you came over to the drive thru line with that customer that was having mobile issues? It was unacceptable. That’s all I have folks.”
