“Met my grandson for dinner Friday about 5:30 pm. I had the redfish with Angel hair pasta and asparagus spears. It was perfect, seasoned just right and delicious. Even the salad dressing tasted homemade. Grandson also enjoyed his meal. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us several times, refilled drinks, and inquired how our food was. I’ve been to Angelo’s several times for the plate lunch and even arranged a lunch for my high school class recently. All were good experiences.“

“We ate at Sal & Mookie’s in Madison Friday afternoon. The food was fantastic and the service was the best. Laura kept our drinks full. She was wonderful. We tried a bit of everything, all fantastic. My husband said it was the best restaurant food he’d ever had. The pizza was outstanding. Crawfish corn bisque was wonderful. We were there for quite a while and during that time no one rushed us. We were a party of ten. I have to give them a five star review, because they earned it!!“

“My husband and I were in Jackson with a few hours to kill. We stopped a nice couple in Highland Village to ask where they would recommend us eating lunch. We were both very pleased with their recommendation. I enjoyed the linguine with crawfish tails on which our attentive waitress helped me decide. My husband enjoyed the carne pizza. “We ordered our main dishes from the seasonal menu. We ordered the Shrimp creamy pesto pasta and the Carmelized salmon. Both were phenomenal and perfect for the summer. Our appetizer was the calamari. The sauces that came with it were wonderful. The free bread was not the best this time as it usually is. It was hardened, and room temperature. It's usually warmed and soft. Our service was pleasant per usual.

“With a tomato allergy, my options were limited. They had a standard brunch of breakfast items that was allergen free. It was the typical breakfast correctly cooked, but the fact that they had options for me gets them major bonus points. Wait staff was effective but nothing noteworthy. Atmosphere is a romantic, quiet restaurant. I won't say that they're upscale but "fancy" dress is appropriate here. It's still casual enough that jeans or shorts are ok. Be warned... There's typically a wait here. The day I went they were not taking reservations.

Dietary restrictions: They do not have a separate allergy friendly kitchen. They do sell shellfish. Im allergic to tomatoes, so I got the brunch special of bacon and eggs, avoiding any logically possible risks of cross contamination.“

“We had an issue at first service because we did outdoor seating, but other than that once we were attended to it was impeccable. I got the chicken Parm with the Alfredo and steamed broccoli and my coworker got the shrimp risotto, which is very cheesy and creamy.

“Honestly, this one of my favorite spots in town. I never leave here not giggling. The staff here is so incredibly sweet and personable. And, the desserts and the drinks are just amazing. And you cant go wrong with the breadsticks either.

“UPDATE: Went back not too long ago and ordered the bread sticks. I was disappointed. What happened to the wonderful tasting, fluffy lite glaze sauce I had originally praised? It was just bread with some regular glaze; I don't think it even had any cinnamon on it. So disappointed. Maybe it was a bad day, but there shouldn't be any. Took my star back. I'm gonna give it another try to see what happened.

The cinnamon sticks are so good. The glaze is ahhhmazing! It's not your normal donut glaze, it's light and kinda fluffy and not too sweet. The flavor is excellent. Tried the baked spaghetti for the first time. VERY GOOD.“
